If you can't take the fap, get out of the kitchen. Because this is where I fap.
It's hard work being a pervert. It really is. Despite what just about every ecchi show until now would have you believe, being a true creepo takes dedication and skill. There are no "accidental perverts" in life. You must strive for pervert perfection! How to properly grope a mouse pad shaped like a pair of breasts, how to remove the bra of a cute young woman (that is a cute young woman right...?), how to navigate the battlefield that is masturbation (according to your fingers anyways), all of these are skills and talents that take time to master.
And sometimes you just need a little help.
Lucky for all of us seeking the higher ground, the Deity of Depravity has descended, and put together a guide on how to score big with the help of his fellow Sex God contemporaries, a hapless yet lovable cherry-boy protag, the adorable love interest, and um...his little brother.
Let's start this review with one of the bigger surprises of the show; the characters.
Considering the source material for this anime is essentially a hand guide for horndogs, one wouldn't think the characters would be all that great. After all, how much personality can we stuff into yet another nerdy virgin, and another shrinking violet love interest? It may surprise you to know that while Imagawa and Andou do both fit in those tried and true anime tropes, they manage to break away from them in several ways. But I'll get to them in just a bit.
First, I want to talk about Sex Gods.
Both Imagawa and Andou have been "blessed" with a team of Sex Gods that are out to look over them while getting them laid. First among the four is Daigorou.
Sweeping into Imagawa's life like a maelstrom of X-ratedness, Daigorou makes it his objective to make Imagawa a man. While he certainly is knowledgeable on all things pertaining to sex, he's also a bit of a troll. But he's a Sex God with a mission to pop that virgin's cherry, and by god he's going to do it.
Joining Daigorou is his little brother, Macaron. Macaron is the shows trap. Quite honestly, he is probably the most fanservice-y of the characters since half his time is spent as an adorable shota, and the other half is spent as an adorable loli. However he serves his role as Daigorou's accomplice / fellow deadpan snarker incredibly well, and everyone will find him cute at one point in time.
Serving as the foils to Daigorou and Macaron are Andou's Sex Goddesses, also determined to get her laid and break her out of her shyness when it comes to sex. Pii-chan does the talking in a no-nonsense fashion, pushing Andou to allow herself to fall in love, and maybe get a little dirty as well. Her twin sister Kuu-chan is there to have a large rack, speak gratuitous French, and drink weird things. It's awesome.
Now we can talk about our nerdy virgin duo who happened to be blessed with such loving caring deities, Imagawa and Andou.
Both Imagawa and Andou are thirty year old virgins who know little to nothing about sex and sexual things. Imagawa is your typical loser virgin, yet he distinguishes himself from many ecchi leads in several ways. First of all, he is not interested in having sex just to lose his virginity. He wants to have sex with the woman he loves. He doesn't want a harem, he doesn't want to steal panties. He wants to have a healthy loving relationship...how refreshing!
Andou is the girl he happens to fall in love with, and while she is the quiet, soft-spoken shy girl we are all so familiar with, she's also a Super Saiyan / Gundam Pilot / Stand User hybrid. When she gets nervous and adamantly refuses someone she unleashes a tit-slapping robot force field on whoever unfortunately is there. Most of the early show is Imagawa trying to push through this literal and metaphorical wall. Much as Imagawa's experiences with Daigorou and Macaron provide the male experience, Andou's reluctant foray into sex with the help of Pii-chan and Kuu-chan provide a refreshing perspective on female sexuality and the experience as women see it.
A Virgin King, naughty librarian, and a fat guy who nailed Miss Bulgaria round out the cast. They're an interesting bunch to say the least.
The voice acting is superb, spearheaded by the absolutely fantastic Ryotaro Okiayu, who does snarky men like nobodies business. Eri Kitamura also does a great job as Pii-chan.
As for the story, the outline is fairly average and really not all that complex. Imagawa is a virgin, he doesn't want to be anymore, God of Sex decides to help him (with some very strange lesson plans and some wiretaps), he meets Andou, the girl of his dreams, hilarity ensues. On paper, this may sound like a highly unoriginal plot, but the way 30 Year Old Men executes is unlike any other ecchi before it.
Rather then relying on tired overdone ecchi tropes while forgoing character and humor (and I mean real humor not "tee hee I tripped and showed my panties" humor), 30 Year Old Men is less a huge glob of fanservice, and more a show that is really just about showing the finer details of being a pervert and doing the deed through the eyes of two awkward virgin ADULTS (and how nice it is to have the focus be on adults rather then some sixteen year old and his high school harem) as they traverse the hazards of a sexual relationship. This truly is a show with something for everyone (sexy sex gods and boy butt for the ladies, boobies and girl butts for the gents...and adorable traps in nurses outfits for everyone!). I really have to commend the show on it's inclusiveness. I can't think of another anime that is perfectly pervy for both genders. The sexual experience is not limited to males, and 30 Year Old Men takes care to include Andou's views on sex, her body, and relationships in general. It's a welcome change from the usual belief that males are the only ones that think about this kind of stuff. The "education" in the title is somewhat present...Iunno how much you'd actually learn from this show but it does actually talk about sex, about our bodies. It doesn't shy away from the topics (though it is heavily censored...more on that later)
The animation is colorful and clean, the opening and ending are adorable (and the ending has some nice visuals at the beginning, again, for everyone). The production value seems really solid. It's not "OH MY GOD I SHAT MY PANTS, 10 / 10 CAUSE I LIKE THE PRETTY COLORS" animation, but I thought it was cute and suitable for the overall silliness of the show.
Sadly there is one thing that is pretty annoying about 30 Year Old Men.
The censorship.
The censorship of the visual and audible variety is incredibly unfortunate as well as extremely prevalent. The visual censorship isn't so terrible (to me anyways...I can tell when a blowup doll is being blurred out), but none at all would of course be preferred. The dialogue censorship is far worse then the visual censorship since it does make many of the funnier conversations extremely hard to understand and follow. I understand indecency laws, but come on. "I want to ____ her" isn't going to fool anyone into thinking something NOT indecent. Even with the censorship however, I still am amazed at how amusing this show is. This show is just too hilarious to be taken down by silly Nippon and their silly laws.
I think most people who watched this show expecting another ecchi about bouncing breasts and little else were bewildered. It definitely isn't like anything else, and it doesn't really neatly fit into any specific demographic. An open mind and a true understanding of the fact that this is a show less about fanservice and more about sex as a healthy part of our lives, is really required to enjoy this. If you're looking for something to fap to, there's probably better material out there for you.
Definitely not for the straitlaced amongst you, 30 Year Old Men is a show that all of us perverts can stand up and cheer for. Men, women, we're all dirty on the inside, and now we have a show to really laugh along with as it shows our differing views on a "taboo issue". I have to say, I am more in love with this show then a guy is in love with a hump pillow of his favorite 2D waifu.
Incredibly funny, truly different, and welcoming to pervs of all kinds, 30 Year Old Men reminds us all that you can't spell "laughter" without T&A. read more

30-sai no Hoken Taiiku (Health education for 30 year olds) is a one sick show. There are so many wrong things in this anime that I don't even know where to start. This series focuses on the most widely talked about subject in human history - that being sex.
Okey fine, but the way they present it is just completely over the top. Like the image of 5 soldiers rubbing up and down againts an artillery piece which then fires a white canonball at a humonguous tissue. I'm never going to be able to look at artillery seriously ever again. That horrifying image is now burned in my head for good.
The story is as unbelievably crazy as it can only get. We have a 30 year old virgin dude (that's not the unbelievable part though) who has no luck with the ladies (that's also NOT unbelievable but read on). One day a silver haired god of sex comes down with the offer of helping him lose his virginity. Along with him comes his little sexually confused brother. As it turns out the gods will not leave until he loses his virginity.
That's when total craziness starts. At first the main character is lectured by the gods, what he should do and what he shouldn't do when around women. Okey, fair enough but then it just gets downright weird... the small god (probably 8 years old) offers himself for practice (WTF). Soon after the second god also offered his... urr backside to the main character. When the main character rejected, the god's ass[hole] started sucking in everything in the room. At that point I stopped the video, ran to my bathroom and poured all the bleach I could find on my eyes. I then tried to erase that image from my eyes with a nail file. Upon failure, I realised that the only solution would be to set myself on fire... and that attempt also failed.
The series gets even more ridicilous from then on, we have a 100 something year old Virgin King who looks like Nappa from DBZ, a horny Japanese goddess who can only speak French and another 30 year old virgin (this time it's a woman) who's also looking forward to lose her virginity with the help of two goddesses.
In other words... I'm at a loss for words. Yes, this show is fucked up.
Apart from the corny story... art is pretty good, sound is nothing special really just your run-of-the-mill anime music.
Enjoyment... hmm, it depends. If you're the kind of person that enjoys watching gods lavishly show off their naked bottoms and see small boys offer themselfes to 30 year olds then this series is probably for you. However when you're looking for a more meaningful comedy then by all means stay away from this anime.
I have no idea why I've even watched it in the first place. read more

Both protagonists have the same goal and that's to remove their virginity.
Similarities:
Both main leads wanted to get laid.
Both have comedy and ecchi as the main genres.
Both main leads have deities as their sex guru.
Dissimilarities:
One is a full 12 episode anime while the other is a 12 min Omake.
One has an extra school genre, while the other has sienen genre.
In B Gata H Kei the deity merely a imaginary being, while in 30-Sai the deity messes up the lead character's daily life.
Also, in B Gata H Kei, the main lead was able to kissed, show her privates ( accidentally of course) and nearly banged her male lead, while in 30-Sai, the main lead is yet to kiss and have his cherries popped by the female lead he is targeting, provided that his deity doesn't mess things up.
And, another thing, B Gata H Kei is a bad anime, but not so bad, while 30-Sai is a bad, bad and lame, lame omake.
Both animes are very ecchi and have similar goals of losing their virginity. If you liked this series you will like this too.

Both are supposed to be a guide for dating and having sex. Also both contain some comedy and desperate main male character and innocent in some way female. Makoto (Futari Ecchi) trying to please his wife and add a little spice to his sex life. While Hayao (30-sai) is trying to get some "sex life".
Both are based on "educational" works who tries to give sexuals lessons to those who ... Oh, lame excuse to sell. The animated adaptations follows a charismatic, inexperienced and shy couple: in "30-sai" they are still trying to get together, with the help of their clumsy god friends; meanwhile, "Futari Ecchi" starts by the marriage, but its protagonists are equally or even more naive and lost.
Different environments, similar situations. The two recount with pleasant mood the difficulties and the steps that these couples give in direction to love, in a way that does not abandon its "didactic" origin. "Futari Ecchi" stands out for having a more mature story, while "30-sai" constantly loses himself in questionable and embarrassing scenes.
