last time i checked, dubbing companies STOPPED AMERICANIZING ANIME! that and funi never said they were licensing the show, just letting it air online in the states (correct me if i'm wrong on how simulcasting works).
Not entirely correct. They still americanize things if the more literal translation is too abstract and requires tl notes.

This is what I like to call, "when they actually translate."

Simulcasting is actually supposed to be the inmediate webcasting of a stream as soon as the original material is broadcasted in Japan. The way they are going with several shows totally defeats the real meaning of simulcasting (releasing a show days after it originally aired is NOT simulcasting). Also, if you meant what it means in terms of translation, Funi and CR merely hire translation teams to work on this shows. If the show does get picked up for official BD/DVD localization the translation will obviously be revised and changed.

Remind me to download this fan subbed before they rape it. I've read the novel and the amount of TL notes that are gonna be required means that funi will change how they translate it to americanize it so they wont be needed in other words in parts they will make it up as they go even if they dont the fact I have seem them do this in the past is enough for me to pirate any thing they license with fan subs. In most cases I find the fan subs more accurate in general anyway.

Can't they have chosen a better show to simultcast? x.O
I just want to barf after watching the first 2 episodes...

I will admit the anime adaption is emphasizing the ecchi part of the novel a bit more than I'd like, but you can always hit up baka-tsuki for volumes 1-5 before judging ;)

strangely enough I have a thing for Louise, but not Aria... maybe I just think I know her better... anyways, I don't think I'll watch this...

actually I can't watch the funi cast at all, its unavailable in my territory... even though I can just go to animetake.com and take the mkvs...

fansubs for the win?

Will it be better than UTW's version ?
Doesn't matter, the show is still the same
It matters quite a bit actually... The show may be the same, but would you watch it if it had shitty subs? Would you watch a version that comes out later and has lesser or equal subs? I sure wouldn't!

Well at the very least, I can buy the DVDs now.

Does it actually count as a "simulcast" when it's five days after the initial airing?

seriously, I follow them on facebook and twitter and as much as I fight for funi it's frustrating when they're trying to get people all hyped up on episode 3 and I'm downloading 4 already. guess I'll start watching it legal though >_<

Yay legal streaming!
