Eleanor Farjeon's Short Story To Be Animated
Multiple new anime projects were announced in Tokyo International Anime Fair 2010 official website.
THE MOON - Tsuki ga Hoshii to Ojo-sama ga Naita produced by Union Cho (subcontractor of "Canaan", "True Tears")
It is based on a British author Eleanor Farjeon's short story "The King's Daughter cries for the Moon (1955)". The story centers on a princess who wishes to reach the Moon one night. Her journey and resulting disappearance raise clamor and chaos throughout the royal palace and among the creatures of the kingdom. Union Cho plans to release the full-length anime in the Spring of 2011.
Sock Monkey ha Kimi ga Suki produced by Iyasakado Film ("Kotatsu Neko")
The anime is based on a book which introduced the culture of Sock Monkey to Japan. It will be aired this summer.
Ama-zones, PLATFORM, Enmasotsu produced by Directions Inc. ("Eve no Jikan")
The producer of Eve no Jikan will show the trailers of their original anime at TAF 2010 this March.

Yeah you're right. I've been waiting for them to get a new contract too. Also, the the first one sounds promising. English stuff are always good.

Why does this sound like "Let's take Kagura-hime and expand upon /if and how she had to get to the moon by herself, how it would happen/!" ...?
Granted I haven't read the book or anything by this British author.
