If it's the same as Baka to Test (studio-wise) as someone mentioned earlier, I'm picking it up. Otherwise, I might drop it.

I'll give it a try but don't have terribly high expectations ... the concept seems neat enough, but I don't want to see them exploit it for cheap domestic violence 'comedy', the way 90% of these anime do.

They're only posting their opinion, same as you.

They're posting an opinion about a show that hasn't even aired yet, while my post was an opinion about them hating the series that they have not even watched yet. I believe that their opinion and mine are pretty different, to be honest.
Just because they're expressing pessimism at the prospects of it being something that they'd want to watch doesn't mean that they have some sort of obsession with it nor that they think that they're psychic nor that they hate the anime.

I don't no how you got the impression that they're just hating on it because of the word ecchi, either. They've already said that it's because of the line "A school battle action & love comedy with ecchi elements" which was apparently important enough to be the first sentence of the synopsis.

Oh, so you are saying that they are not hating the show "just" because it's "ecchi", but because of the line "A school battle action & love comedy with ecchi elements"? What's your point then? That I should have said instead "they are hating on it because it's a school battle action & love comedy with ecchi elements?" I fail to see your point here.
My point is that most of them seem to be "hating on" it because of that combination of genres as a whole. And there's also the fact that that combination of genres takes precedence over the plot details.

And if you think that that's a recipe for a decent plot, then you're just fooling yourself.

The recipe of what? What is it that you believe that is not the "recipe for a good plot"? Are you talking about the "ecchi elements" part? And can you specify what do you mean with a "good plot" and name shows that comply with such criteria according to you?
Naming shows with a decent plot would be quite pointless since we don't yet have anything to compare them to other than a couple of chapters of the light novel. Indeed, you're correct in saying that we still have no concrete indication as to the quality of its plot, and it's possible that this show could have an excellent plot. However, all three of these subgenres (school battle, romantic comedy, and, yes, ecchi) are known for being in anime that has an extremely forgettable plot. That fact is a much better basis for an opinion than just wanting it to have a good plot.

Meh.

These anime are all starting to sound the same.

They're probably making the assumption that this anime will end up just like some other anime in the genre. Nothing wrong with that. I mean, the anime industry IS losing creativity. And another thing: the light novels are available to read on BakaTsuki. They could easily skim through a couple chapters to confirm or change their opinions. Saves them the time of actually watching it when it comes out.

I'd so rather have a second season of something better like Kino no Tabi. Too bad that will probably never happen. *sigh*

Who ever or where ever they got the synopsis from they made its sound really horrible.
I've read the first chapter of the lightnovel on Baka-Tsuki,and i dont really think its was that bad.(But thats just my opinion you guys can check it out your self if you want)

What people are saying that it's horrible is mainly the school-battle-action-&-love-comedy-with-ecchi-elements part. It's not the fault of the one who made the synopsis that people here are ready to post comments full of hate and anger at anything that includes the word "ecchi". Personally, I'm not quite sure why they'd spend so much of their time talking about something they find terrible. It's almost like an obsession.

Another plotless anime ㅎ_ㅎ

How do you know that it's plotless if the series has not even aired yet? Are you a psychic that can see into the future or something?

I don't really think they would do that since people here are posting mainly to express their hate at a genre they don't like, not because they found the plot summary uninteresting.
