As many of you have noticed already, this video is Nitro+'s April Fool's joke.

According to the official website, a new Mahou Shoujo TV anime series produced by Shaft and directed by Shinbou Akiyuki has been announced, entitled "Mahou Shoujo Sonico★Magica." In addition, the opening animation to the new series has been released on their official youtube channel. More details are expected to be announced.

That one would fool me... But it would also make me rage and rant after discovering it was a joke. So I prefer this troll OP. At least it made me laugh (as it was obviously a joke).
But thinking about it... I'd love if episode 11 and 12 were aired as a 1 hour special.

lol I saw so much crap on this April's Fools...
I saw this now that it is annouced a joke though I wouldn't believe it anyway.

It's so obvious that it hurts, but nice attempt anyway. But, surprisingly, some people still believe it's not a joke, so I'd consider the joke to be successful :3

Definitely an April Fools.
The characters that appear in the scenes where in the original OP are the protagonists and minor characters, are characters from Nitro+ visual novels (Sumaga heroines as Madoka's family; Chaos;Head heroines as Madoka, Sayaka and their other friend; Axanael protagonists as Madoka and her friends in gym class; Vampirdzhija Vjedogonia protagonists as Sayaka and Kyousuke; Ein from Phantom of Inferno as Mami; Kurisu from Steins;Gate as Kyouko; Saya from Saya no Uta as Homura). Sonico herself is the mascot of Nitro+ and the protagonist of the VN SoniComi.
