| Anyway, we know the drill by now, when an episode starts off painfully boring, they just shove in some fanservice to cover up how boring it was. They know their audience, and sadly, it still works. Like seriously, I don’t even remember meeting the character Juju was with, that’s how completely forgettable this has become. And oh great, Akira’s past was tragic... but hey, she survived puberty, so silver lining? That shit had me cracking up though. Being an animanga fan really is a full time headache lol. And yeah, calling out people for their weird tastes is essential. Otherwise, we’d be stuck with even more oddballs like that crossdresser from the earlier episodes. Honestly, just having this finally end next week is a win in itself. Now let’s see if CW actually goes back to its anime og ending roots and wraps it up properly... fingers crossed they do. |

| If betrothed to my sister’s ex weren’t airing, I’d give Akira parents the worst parents of the season award. Absolute fucking idiots. Why would you have your daughter throw away manga she, and by extension likely you, have spent money on already? Even if you didn’t want her to read them getting rid of em is stupid lmao. Not wanting her to watch anime.. as a teenager in Japan? At the peak of cardcaptor Sakura? That’s how you end up dying alone in a hospice center because your kids hate you. Glad Akira found a place where she belongs and people who accept her for her. We got to see Juju fully become apart of the group too thanks to Miyako’s cosplay transformation! The way Juju’s sister hypes her up is soo cute and you can’t blame her because Juju’s cosplay was stunning. Like the older girls said, who cares if you don’t have the body type of the character. Characters represent ideals, not just physical appearances and you can be whatever you wanna be. “Your whole existence is fanservice” lmaoo Marin and the other girls just having a fangasm over Juju’s cosplay is so cute. I love how much of nerds they are “You don’t have to worry about a damn thing to continue your hobbies” and therein lies the message of Kisekoi. Be yourself, do the things you like to do because life’s too short to wait. Growing up doesn’t mean you leave your hobbies alone, it means you have more money to spend on them! I was at Gundam base USA tour yesterday and the line was literally all dudes 35-40+ lol. In line to buy plastic toys. You’re never too old to do the things you love. |

| Seems like marin doesn't think it's such a big deal being disliked. It looks like Marin being disliked has something to do with Akira's past her mother was rather hard handed with her manga. She didn't take the right approach with that and it seems to have a bad impact on her daughter. She could have just seen it as a phase that will go over. That again every parents has a different way if dealing with things and no one is perfect. |

| I liked this episode a lot. It’s really cool to see how everyone’s found acceptance through cosplay. Like, there’s a sense of artistic freedom in it but it’s also helped Akira and Miyako find themselves. Miyako and Suzuka helped Juju in that sense too. The real life lesson this week: “Being an adult is so much fun! ‘Cause you can spend way more cash than when you were in school!” lol. Adults have more disposable income than students. It’s great isn’t it? I totally relate to what Miyako and Suzuka were saying about working for their hobbies and overspending lol. I’m looking forward to this Akira situation resolving. It’s gonna be fun. |

| Yeah, it seems clearer to me that Akira's thing with Marin is fangirling nervousness rather than dislike aversion. They were playing up Black Lobelia connections in this episode, whith present, Akira's past, and Juju's. Mihako's, Susuka's, and Marin's past, so I am guessing that is part of the connection Aikira has for Marin. The manner that they are forcing the implication of Akira disliking Marin really feeling like a red herring trope to raise tension to m, particularly when view with the little contra indications they have put in. "A surprise is a sure bet." Eh, no. Particularly not around an Eveil Overlord. It might get you disintegrated. "Yeah, this looks super sketchy." Really? It would be quire normal around my Palace of Doom. "Yeah, we suck as adults," Common enough. |

There’s more to cosplaying than just in your teens, fret not! Akira-san’s background was honestly heartbreaking to see. I get parents telling their children to bring their watch hours down but completely taking that hobby away from them just seems unnecessarily selfish to me. It’s great that she found Suzuka-san and Miyako-san that helped her to embrace this part of herself again! It striking a chord with Gojou-kun for his relationship with Marin-chan was wonderful too. Zooming in on MArin-chan's cosplay. in the end, huh? I wonder what that might entail... @LaczPro19 I was literally screaming “me too” during this scene, lmao. @LaczPro19 Absolutely agreed. | Well that was quite a episode to unpack. Relating so much to akira and her past. Being a anime fan and being a enhusiast had its tough side especially on social terms in comparison to today where its more mainstream. Be it parents or the society, people did judge you if you watched anime like you were a weirdo and an odd ball. At times it did cause insecurities and loss of confidence to be yourself infront of others. I feel bad for akira going throug the same phase and especially her parents not understanding her passion for it & the happiness it gave her. She literally had to sacrifice her manga & other anime related items, plus even had to pretend infront of classmates & feigning ignorance. Its so forced and depressing. But now its different and quite refreshingly pleasant seeing anime being more accepted & enjoyed by more people & also knowing the fact you can share this joy with others.  Anyways we come to the present scenario where the group is prepping for the cosplay. Shinju wants to support juju sama with her coffin cosplay since with her height issues juju has always been restricted to magical girls cosplay. Miya and others are ready to help out shinju with this & do some planning. Plan almost backfires after juju finds out & declines to respect black lobelias character. Miya figures out the reason jujus reluctance to not only being the height factor but mainly her facial features and her *cough* asset areas which is understandable. After some really good convincing by miya, juju agrees slowly. Back at gojos place, Akira and gojo start with their classes. Akira learns about gojos work & appreciates his fine talent & experience with the dolls. A nice mutual feeling she shares with him. Wholesome. Back to project "juju glowup", Miya does a really good job working on juju and explaining lot of similar issues & problem she shares with juju while cosplaying. For someone experienced as jujus this also some new information which makes her happy. i love how miya also shares her passion wholeheartedly & how the issues coming up with her first cosplay due to her body features didnt stop her from achieving it. This all leading her to the 10 years of cosplay experience she has under her belt now, even making jujus impressed and surprised. Miya absoloutely went up in my favorite side characters in this series.  Gojo and Akira continue with the prop preparations. Gojo learns a lot from akira havin a little regrets not being able to do more for marins cosplay, but also wanting to learn more at the same time. Akira encourages him and tells him to pursue any interests he has.Akira personally going through this ordeal in the past and now passing on this torch of support to someone else really was heartwarming. Akira also shares her past and how she started cosplaying with meeting Suzuka & miyako. From almost getting ptsd of getting judged to finding two of the closest people in the life who enjoy the similar passion you have & especially who you can be with while being your trueself, that is the true joy. Life is truly full of surprises especially pleasants one like this. The smile on akiras face says it all. Truly a blessing to have wonderful loving people with you. (Also her cosplay was gorgeous like wow shes just so hot & cool at the same time)  Speaking of pleasant surprises. Jujus lobelia cosplay is done & damn she looked pretty af. Finally being able to cosplay someone she thought wasnt in her reach must be such a blissfully satisfying moment. Shinju was just awestruck & all praises for juju, since she wanted it so much for her sister. Marin just was a mess & honestly dont blame after after how much she worships juju  "your whole existance is a fan service" lol thats a great line ngl. After that under miyakos expertise we have a lobelia photoshoot for juju sama. Learnt quite some nice useful tricks ngl. But our 3 photographer just went full fangirl mode xD We had some serious talk with juju thinking of quitting cosplay as it seemed impractical as you get old & being an adult. Miyako gives great life advice to her especially regarding cosplays that there is no age to enjoy and pursue what you like & enjoy even giving examples of older people in their 40s & 50s doing what they love regardless what others think. Thats such a based way of life. This reassures juju but also sees how bad miyako & suzuka are bad with their finances & tbh i relate so hard with them. When you swipe for things you like you just get lost in it. lmao (please be careful with your money guys especially working adults) xD Finally the girls take a food break where marin drops the big bomb question to whether Akira dislikes her or something cause she had noticed akiras behavior around her as well. Miyako & suzuka are freaking out but there is some big reason which we unfortunately didnt to hear as episode ended. But hopefully next episode its all comes to light & its nothing major serious, cause it will make things to awkward especially with gojo & akira who bonded so well today. Final Episode up next, cant wait for the truth reveal & coffin group cosplay. Hype! |

| Ah. So Akira had one of "those" parents. I think most Asian parents more or less tell their kids that they're "too old" for anime or video games regardless of their actual age. I've been there. But there are some parents who take it too far. It's even worse if the child is the obedient type like Akira apparently was. Sometimes it's ok to be a bit rebellious. If not, I heard this saying which goes something like South Asian kids die twice. Once when they're around 18 their spirit dies and the second time when they're old their body dies. It's not ok to break your kid's dreams and hobbies especially when they're still kids. Anyway, I still don't get what Akira has against Marin. Is she just jealous? Or did Marin steal her merch or something? There has to be more to it, right? The cosplays were good. Especially Juju's Black Lobelia cosplay. It was cute. I don't get why she thought she couldn't cosplay once she's older anymore. Did she literally never use the internet before, despite being the eldest daughter? Lol. Aw. Only one episode left. And it's named after the show. It feels too soon. I hope there will be a continuation soon. As good as the show is I don't like waiting 3 years just for a new season. |
| As much as the first season has been about not only the subject of cosplaying and establishing the relationship between Marin and Gojo, this one seems to be more focused on how cosplaying as an activity is not only perceived by others but the people doing it. With Akira's backstory and Juju's confession about almost giving it up one can feel a bit sad about the ordeal but also understand where it comes from. It's good to have so many understanding and open people in the cast who can break these matters down and for the last episode we'll see what (if anything) comes from how Akira is bothered by Marin. |

I think that has been the whole point of this season. Amane, Akira and Juju-sama. They all have different reasons to stop, but if you really love something, you'll keep doing it. Anime is life is not even a lie. I swear I really love this season, I enjoy the side characters as much as Marin and Gojo. And how it shows how Anime was seen back then (or I guess even now even though Anime had became more common to the 'normies'). I think a lot of us Anime fans can relate to all of this. Juju-sama cosplay was so freaking good!! Akira might be a big Black Lobelia fan and that she saw Marin's cosplay and probably fangirling so hard she can't talk to her? lol |

| ＨＯＬＹ S H I T Sajuna is so freaking adorable!! AAAHH. Her reaction to her sister loving a cosplay she wasnt comfortable wearing highlights how much she values not only her sisters opinion but also the act of cosplaying itself. Noting that she wants to cosplay to bring the character to life, and not want to break the characters image by trying to fit in her persona. I think her nervousness wasnt just from how the scary the game was but also the lack of confidence she had held for herself to be able to pull the cosplay well enough. Thankful, she had helpers. AND WITH SUCH GREAT OUTCOME TOO ＨＯＬＹ S H I T. Ok... wtf is the deal between Akira and Marin. So, they dont know each other. LIKE AT ALL. But from what I can gather. Akira is either jealous, angry that a high schooler is cosplaying when she didnt OR the most likely option SHES A MASSIVE FAN of hers and cant even bring herself to talk around due to how nervous she gets around her.... that might actally be it. LMAO. WE GOT A MARIN FAN IN THE BUILDING. A MARIN FAN!!! | This show just keeps HITTING. The English subs were (extremely) off this episode, but the parallel storyline juggling here with the crew at the house and Gojo + Akira making props was awesome. A lot of the insecurities that the characters talked about hit home for me, especially Akira's situation with her family discouraging her from her hobbies and ultimately leading her to feeling like she has to lie to herself about "who she really is." And while predictable, the gacha scene was just.... *chef's kiss* One more episode left. I'm just so happy to have found this show. Season One was already unexpectedly fun and resonant, but this second season has rapidly climbed up my personal ranks. Back in 2015, when I started watching anime, I NEVER would have guessed that something like this would be among my favorite shows. |

| Lots of fun this episode with all the cosplaying, that's what it's all about. I really feel for Akira though, brutal that her mother would treat her with such contempt about something she liked. It's no wonder she crawled into a shell and hardly shows emotion anymore. But as you get older, you'll find more people who share your interest, and that those who don't usually don't care what you're in to. Nice moment for Juju too. Being able to cosplay a character she once thought impossible. Even someone who has a doll-like appearance can feel as though she's limited to what she can cosplay. |
