AbemaTV streamed the first two episodes today. It looks like they're trying to build further into this anime with Sylphy and Kaito's relationship. Sylphy needs to mature more as she is a bit naive... Dunno what else this anime is trying to aim for but it's becoming evident that they are keeping Kaito as plain as possible. Just nothing stands out so far about his character. On a somewhat positive note, he's not bad at using tools and is seems resourceful. |

ABEMA early streaming of Episodes 1 & 2. Amatsuki's OP....is just rather average fantasy Anisong... This show loves its dungeons...and more on its comedy as well...whch got me good that the opening served as a goddamn commercial, I got a chuckle out of it. Anyways, back to the dungeon, both Kaito and Sylphy going deeper and more fearful for the former, it's clear that Kaito is very scared. But thanks to Sylphiy, he gets his confidence...partially to combat the goblin, which he did and become a temporary goblin slayer. Things thereafter work fine for the money between the two, though he can't always hide from Katsuragi forever from constantly going deeper into the dungeon. Regardless of the variety of monsters faced, Kaito always finds confidence thanks to Sylphy who constantly always has to be fed magic cores...and one such reddish magic core, is unfortunately 2 million yen down the mouth to Sylphy's stomach. Still, this is nothing in comparison that Sylphy did manage to help him go further, and aside from the cute Syl nickname, Kaito has to constantly shuffle back and forth between levelling up and survival by purchasing potions and the like, not just for himself, but for Sylphy as well. And with yet another monster kill with a loot drop of yet another servant card draw, this time it's the Viscount-class devil of Luceria...which is yet another loli? What's up with all the loli girls lols? If anything, they give Kaito a run for his money. |

Lots of good moments in this one, it didn’t take long and Kaito is already level 10 and able to take on the likes of goblins, although not by himself lol, gotta have loli servant Sylphy on standby in case he can’t do it, that first encounter with a goblin was quite funny tho, that’s the definition of stumbling into victory. And later Kaito actually stumbled on a rare monster, a skeleton aka deadhead, which is kinda surprising since skeletons are typically a common monster, but it actually dropped a red core which Sylphy enjoyed thoroughly, she was very cute enjoying that red rock, but Kaito ended up finding out that core was worth a ton of money, of course we can’t have him getting rich this early but seeing Sylphy enjoy it as food was more worth than the money lol. And I guess these rare slimes are actually the best monsters to hunt of all, because the silver slime ended up dropping another servant card, and since Kaito now sees the value in the servants he summons it, and it’s the 2nd loli from the OP and ED who looks like a little demon instead of a little goddess, this man isn’t just dual wielding bug spray anymore, he’s now dual wielding loli servants lol. I’m a bit surprised she appeared this early, I thought it would just be Sylphy for a while but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what this new girl is like. Very nice double episode premiere, I’m excited to see how Gekkou cooks with this one! |

More cute Lolis, LOOOL But seriously tho... are these summons "Servant cards" common? MC seems to find them quite easy... Not to mention back in episode 1, they already have pricing on Summons... and rare ones like Lolis can be sold up to 1 billion yen. (this means there are quite a bit of summons being sold, including Valkyrie if they already have a pricing) (plus, the world seems to regard them as normal and not any sort of "slavery", lol, I doubt they have any laws or rights regarding treatment of summons) And I take it that monsters and treasures respawn after a while... since judging by how the whole dungeon... seems to have modern lights set up (so ppls doesn't have go to around with torches, lamps or flashlights). This means the dungeons are already explored for quite a bit by other people/ governments... but yet... new monsters and new (rare) treasures like the lolis still appears on the early levels of the dungeon in parts that's already previously explored... And I also wonder... how do they determine a summon's age? cause in MC's case... is he a lolicon so the summon comes out as Lolis? LOOOL (and instead of like their cards or summon animation? lol) . Also, the new devil loli... seems like a candidate for "correction" . Also, forgot to comment back in episode 1... I just realized they have "status screens"... but it's not from any tech, it seems to be magic based... So does this mean when the Fantasy dungeons appeared 13 years ago, everyone in the entire world suddenly got a magic status screen? And what does "leveling up" really do? how do they determine the HP of a person? do you actually "die" on the spot if you reach 0 HP even tho your physical body is still healthy? huh... IE: MC has 14 HP... do he take 1 damage every time he gets hit by a slime or goblin? so if he gets hit 14 times even without any actual physical wounds... he dies? It would be more plausible setting if they remove the HP part and just go with the MP, BP and skills if they were going to be basing this on a world that used to be like our Real World with physics and people would only die if they took actual physical damage... and not just a certain amount of hits... . |

It literally cut off the entire manga plot. Btw the manga plot was much more brutal and Syl was beyond OP. She got a tons of fucking powerful AOE large scale ablity. Anime take a much family friendly and slice of life approach It actually so strong her attack goes from level 1 to level 10 dungeons, wiping almost anything. And Lucy (Lucillia) never is that easy to obtain. In the manga plot, Lucy and Syl had a battle to the death, with Syl winning by one lucky margin. It was like fucking Gojo vs Sukuna, that battle is insane. ![]() |

@FuzeMintTea EXACTLY, THIS IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING OF EVERYTHING THEY CHANGED (COMPARING TO THE MANGA). The fight is insane, and best of all is the demon's past, which we learn a little about. Not to mention her look when she appears and her interaction with the MC, which is hilarious. |

This is soooooo different from the manga. Skipped content, wouldn't surprise me if stuff is completely cut out. MC is struggling less, I don't get why he isn't taking the summons cards home like he does in the manga, speaking of which the demon card summons is so different to the manga xD I don't get it. It's like an alt universe or something. What they do now is just a complete fucking mystery to me. |

I'm just here to say that Sylphy is so!!!! cute!!!! too cute!!!! kami-level cute loli tbh!!!!!!!!! But hearing about all of the differences in comparison with the manga, it definitely makes me want to check it out soon. Despite all the clichés and the generic feeling of the anime, though, I think I'll still enjoy it as a turn-my-brain-off kind of thing. Also did I mention Sylphy is cute??? I'm 100% okay just watching it for her lol. |

For all the talk about the manga; the anime is based off the novel. I agree that the manga is the superior product between the it and the novel but let's not get overly hyperbolic about what the difference is between it and an adjacent work both based off the same source. Also it's only episode 2, far too early to draw a conclusion on the series. What you can draw a conclusion on is that Kana Hanazawa has terrifying talent to be able to list Sylphy in her filmography next to Mayumi Saegusa from Irregular at Magic High, Ran from the Urusei Yatsura reboot, Sariphi from Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts, Nadeko Sengoku from the Monogatari series. |

Sylphy's voice is so soothing... IDK about the loli, but that character is certainly adorable... P.S. The childhood character needs more spotlight. |
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

i know this is based on the LN but even so, they are rushing trough the plot, this is literally a worst version of that and the manga which is the superior version with better passing and story telling, i just can't understand how they fckd up so much the story is good the art is good the characters are likable so how they release this lame ass version? |

@NB_Tenchy Nailed it. Kana Hanazawa is a goddess. All of her roles are so good. Honestly, I thought sylphy was voiced by Filo's (Shield hero) VA. Crazy range. Anyway, sylphy is cute again, MC is powering up. Wonder why he didn't use the tungsten rod against the slimes, seems a waste to use spray when you have a thick, strong, hard rod to wack them with.... The slimes, I mean, not the summons obviously |

@Scootboi He didn't buy the rod until he'd defeated some goblins on level two, he couldn't afford it... first at level 2 he had a wooden sword and great shield. I'm of a feeling that if a more mature adventurer had purchased the summon card Syl would have materialized more mature but that's just speculation. From the anime the location of the silver slime was attributed to the goddess power; you can clearly see with the change of expression that Syl isn't happy about sharing a master, I'd like to see where this is going... will they get along? I do agree the manga art is what I would prefer but hey, I'm going to watch this anyway! I don't read much, it tends to clash with the anime, I'm an animephile 99%. |

I'm more curious about the relationship with Kaito and Haruka. His friends and family know about Kaito going to the dungeon, but she's not allowed to know? I got enough hints in the show that she's probably the love interest and doesn't want him to get hurt? Could have something against dungeons and don't want him to go? |

Not a fan of the idea of a borderline(?) loli harem(?). Might've preferred a non-nerfed version if they made them seem just like small/mini full women. Though if they don't go fanservicey (beyond the feeding I guess) it wouldn't be too bad to have it be a cute group of little sisters (no lewd). Now for the plot: For releasing 2 episodes at once they sure as hell didn't do much with it. Felt so slow and drawn out, like they could've fit the content into a single episode and had it be better. Combine that with others saying that it's going fast and skipping things, it looks like we are going to have a real bad adaptation here. Lots of nothing happening with a few hints here and there of actual content, while all the source readers are foaming at the mouth about things that weren't included. When it comes time to adapt things, I don't understand why you'd leave so much empty space, go so slow with it, and still skip content. It's the worst of everything and makes a show that is hollow. This is just like last season's Unnamed Memory, skipped massive amounts of story and character development and left a story where things happen out of nowhere for no real reason and are resolved in a single episode with lots of quite parts that don't work without the characters being developed. |

@waldy713 I believe there’s a LN as well. I only read the manga and it’s significantly more fleshed out. It’s just like how “The New Gate” cut out stuff and rushed things but this is just a little bit better visually. I’d rather see fewer series get adapted but at least adapted properly |

@Animillion Yeah, that's fair. I know what you mean with The New Gate. I saw immediately their deviations. So I switched into taking it like a new work. Which is usually how I see films. In most contexts tbh. Even though we are spoiled to see most works 1:1 translated between mediums. At least coming out of Japan. To me, the normal. Is the directors show and their unique value they bring. Like any author et al. In the United States does for an establishment franchise for Marvel/DC etc. I think for good or ill. We'll start seeing that more and more in anime. We have for sure seen it much more the past year or so. There's a much healthier industry these past couple years. With a lot of foreigners involved in very impactful ways. Our own interest in the source material. Could have gotten things like The New Gate. The boost it required to be adapted at all. As most major partnerships with US based streaming services. Have a lot more pull than we'd give them credit. I think half the Isekai's. Are probably adapted due to their intense popularity in the US. And their LN sales on Amazon etc. With this season having so many good examples of quality. I believe we're looking at more adaptions. Just finally with Hollywood style money. Which for how cheap anime is to make... 5 million (USD) an episode. Is pocket change in the USA. For 12 episodes, merchandise, and a small market to dominate? Even Crunchyroll can pull in that investment alone. For a couple big productions per season that is. Shame this one didn't push itself back to Winter Season next year. Then double its budget. And attempt to compete as one of the sole 24 episode series. From what you showed alone. Theres no way they couldn't have extended to that content. That single panel could have been 3-4min with all the other context. Plus the LN for a cache of writing for the director to use... Yeah, this one had a lot more potential than its realizing. |

no fanservice, bland situations(dude got traumatized by nothing in the anime), Syl is a bland generic loli moe character without even the smallest amount of fanservice(oppai loli doko?), barely any interaction with Syl nor bonding, skipping content, cheap low effort animation(background, monster design, character design), did I already mentioned no fanservice? man...this one cant get any worse, its insulting to the novel and manga, first I got into the manga; very cool...then the novel; pretty fun read...but the anime? it saps my will to keep reading the novel, that bad it is. |

If they come out as lolis for everyone, he's probably doing the world a service by not selling them.
@felixsifuri it might just be because he's so level, they appear as children. |

@Animillion Yeah, that's fair.

To me it feels more like they take more value out than they bring in. So many good stories are getting ruined by them removing very meaningful developments and inserting dumb irrelevant things. |
