@Zarutaku I truly don't think I'm above anyone else. Just discussing tastes here. I didn't wish anything bad to any fans either, I have my own stuff that most ppl would find very cringe. We all fans here.

She's not 1 dimensional "hurr durr evil" character. We don't even know much about her to begin with. Yet, it's obvious something traumatic happened to her (and her sister most likely), hence why she's messed up in the head and so obsessed with cutting. She isn't OP either. She can be lethal against certain opponents, but that applies to other mages too. For now what do we know? She killed bandits (in self-defense mind you, as Kraft said) and she accidentally killed the first class mage during test. Since Ubel wasn't prosecuted or even banned, it's obvious her action was deemed an accident at the end, or something that's "acceptable" (just like it's normal for test-takers to die during exams). I honestly feel sorry for her. She's clearly suicidal as seen during her fight with Wirbel, as well as with her fight with own clone. I have strong suspicion she was forced to cut own sister, or maybe used her cutting magic on someone but killed her instead (maybe fault of bandits? that would explain why she was so merciless towards them) and that's why she's so messed up and not really afraid of getting killed (due to guilt maybe). She did say she's never been lucky too. Also, there's that moment when Fern says she knows see-through-clothes magic and Ubel crouches. By one glance she shouldn't be a type of person who gets embarrassed so easily. I suspect she's hiding scars or something. Found that reaction bit weird. In other words, I sense she's complex, mysterious and highly likely a very tragic character. I can't really hate her for something as simplistic as "she has those eyes" and "she smiles all the time" and "she should be a villain due to vibes". For all we know, her smile may be her defense mechanism and she's acting all cold-hearted and "edgy" so that others don't realize how fragile and traumatized she really is. I just hope you actually do an adult thing and overcome your childish hatred. Hating her more than taxes, really? :D |

| I mean certain character tropes and types really tick each of us off. When I despise a character I try to understand WHY I despise it - because that's usually something that indicates something about ourselves. And if you hate your self of 10 years ago, maybe it would be a good idea to embrace it and accept you wouldn't be the person you are today if you haven't gone through that phase, for better or for worse. By saying you hate Ubel (or any character) you're basically saying you hate a part of yourself. And that goes for anyone when each of us HATES something to death - be it fictional or tangible. So I hope you eventually embrace your past, cuz thats also part of being "an adult" :) |

| I dislike her mainly for her stupid magic that breaks the magic system and makes some previous scenes ilogical, the character itself is meh and I can't understand what's her appeal, she isn't even that attractive, even Kanne and Lawine were more attractive than her. |
