Why do people continue to name their "waifus" (plural) instead of saying they have 1 waifu and separately a harem?
| It doesn't make logical sense. It would be more likely to cause fights if every girl is elevated to waifu status. So why not say 1 of them is the waifu and the rest are sex friend harem? I have a scientist waifu who looks like Rias Gremory except for the eyes. She is kinky and would most likely want to study my sexual performance with other girls. Her name is Michelle Davenport and is from a western visual novel. (Time Tenshi) (I played the 2020 remake, not the 2015 version) Michelle: 2 of the girls in my high quality harem: (Keira from Sakura Fantasy (VN) and Nio Hashiri from Akuma no Riddle)   |

| I'm not really interested in having a harem, don't have another fave that I would say has Waifu status to me either. I've also limited myself to only 2 for some time now, and to me their equals, but if they were in-character, neither would want to be my Waifu. I'm sure they'd fight lol, but not over that. Maybe people just have different levels & values of their Waifus & other favourite female characters...idk? |

| Not when you select waifus that are ok with harems. There wouldn't be issues then. Another possibility And who is to say the waifus gets transported to your world? If they happen to exist in a long distance relationship which means staying in their universe, unless they're of god like diety beings that can travel between universes or mind readers, then they wouldn't know of the other waifu's existences. Now if you like waifus that had crossovers, you're out of luck with the exception of the first statement I made above. |

| You're arguing semantics. Why would it matter if you call every girl your "waifu" or just one of them? A harem is still a harem, whether one has a special title or not. And if the difference is that the one is not there exclusively just for the sexing aspect, then would that not create issues either way with one getting special treatment over the others? |

| There are many out there who believe "waifu" is synonymous with "anime girls I think are attractive", which is an egregiously watered down application of the term that reduces it to being nearly meaningless. It's actual definition is closer to that of a wife, or a beloved soulmate. |
