No, I have no shame, I'm shameless (but not to the extreme point)

...and mostly keep it to myself to prevent any further involvement.

That's what I noticed (from experience) if you are too communicative and too social then people always drag you everywhere around and you end up with all kinds of people and situations (that are most likely not in your interest at all) and you just waste your time.

...and I prefer specific stuff.

I'd say there are no useful benefits from being too shy (and so as being shameless).

Why do you refer to yourself in third person?

Back in my hometown (which was always full of Crows), they flew everywhere (especially early in the morning ripping through and fighting each other for slices of some dead meat.

Crows were always been associated with cemeteries, they are Grave's birds.

hi friends ^_^
i'm usually shy.
i was so shy i didn't even talk online until last year.
but i learned to not be shy finally.
i just had to not care.
it's tough but it's possible.
also i'll go back to being shy sometimes and then i have to try to not care again and i can be brave again...

I'm a naturally extroverted person that was raised in an environment that never allowed me to develop proper social skills lol.

I'm a reserved person and picky about friends etc... But I'm not really shy, I can talk to anyone given if it's really necessary to do so.
I don't bother about what other people might think of me as I have to deal with different people on a daily basis and seem to get along with most of them pretty well.

As for other people's sexuality, I don't think just because you're shy that you're gay, it's possible to quit being a shy person it's all a mentality thing and nothing else.

I know shy people who are married and had children and they even have somewhat of a successful career.

shy is not opposite to shameless

shy is opposite to talkative and social

prude is opposite to shameless, more precise opposite to kinky.

one can be not shy and prude. Loudly and forcefully rejecting anything other than missionary position.

On can also be shy and shameless/kinky, timidly and quietly agreeing to eat shit out of toilet bowl.

The latter is my type for sure. I cannot stand the former.

Also girl can fell ashamed of herself for eating shit out of toilet bowl, I like that as well.

Generally I like shy girls: I do not like girls who are comfortable with talking to people other than myself.

If she is not timid shy loner, who does not have any friends, I do not like her.

I like quiet girls who prefer to be either alone or with me and no one else.

I'm shy. Can't quite get used to being around folks very much, and I stutter a shit ton too :P

I'm getting better at being social, though. Also getting compliments and sometimes giving compliments can make me blush easily -///-

I am pretty introverted but not shy. I have no problem be boisterous and friendly to acquittances. I just find it really tiring unless they are close friends. (even then I need a break)

I'm very shy irl, to a point where I get sweaty and a racing heart when someone asks me a question I haven't thoroughly rehearsed before, or when the card processing in the supermarket takes one more second than usual.
I also avoid people I know and deliberately take the longer path home if it means I won't have to say hi or talk to them.

Yeah maybe. All the other schizophrenics I met in the hospital years ago were also very shy and quiet, so maybe there's a connection.

Yea I agree with this lol... I'm shy but not because of fear of others, it's mostly fear of myself saying something stupid (easy), and that loud/uber-social people tend to stick to talkative people... and they are dumb and incredibly annoying. Next they end up dragging you somewhere or you find yourself in the middle of an unbelievably dense and worthless conversation, wanting to tell the yackers to shattap. Also the whole idea of being at a party and "mingling" is stupid, I hate the sort of people who go to parties, so I don't go to them ^_^

I think that mostly applies to me as well.

May be I got so introverted because my parents and other people from my past were so annoying to deal with, I would rather be alone that ever talk to them.

I do not like loud, forceful, self-righteous, authoritarian people who push moral down your throat and criticize how you behave. That was how my parents were.

Yes and no. I don't like talking with people thus avoid it. And it takes time for me to warm up to anyone. But when I'm in good mood I may keep up a conversation with strangers. I guess that's what happens when culture around you teaches not to take other people's valuable time and be as invisible as possible.

I love chatting with people irl but sometimes I just wanna be on my own and experience things without trying to socialize with people. I don't wanna have to small talk sometimes, and other times small talk is nice and allows me to feel comfortable in a given space or scenario.

I rather need time to warm up to people and time to evaluate them. I keep up normal conversations, or whatever is socially normal and doesn't go too deep, until then.

I'm shy only if I don't feel comfortable or if I really like someone.
There are times I prefer to be quiet, but that's not the same as being shy.

It's difficult to say because there are still some social situations that make me feel uncomfortable, but I'm far less shy than I once was, that's for sure.

The answer to your second question would be something like:

"I think being shy is considered unmanly/feminine because a lot of women have a preference for confident guys while many guys like shy women. Therefore, having a quality that is perceived as unattractive in your sex and attractive in the opposite one makes people question your sexuality."

Of course, I'm not saying that any of this is true. I'm just explaining the logic behind it.
