| I think they’re entitled to their own opinions. From my own experience, I haven’t seen/read many seinen but I found most of them very enjoyable - certainly a higher percentage than shounen. But I think it’s hard to compare 2 demographics that are completely different, especially when one is so much more popular and churning out several times more titles per year |

| I think people need to start realizing that these tags are not “demographics” nor “genres” but completely arbitrary labels that book stores, not pubishers and artists, put on material based on their own insights and consequently what tag a title receives can differ from book store to book store and they all have their own criteria. People also need to realize that the word “seinen” means ”youth”, “adolescent” at best in Japanese, not “adult male”. |

| I find people who think like that to be quite silly lol. Having a strong preference for one animanga demographic over all the others is an odd reason to feel superior to other people, since great works can be found in all animanga demographics, but whatever floats your boat I suppose. 🤷♂️ This might come as a surprise to some of the seinen-only enthusiasts, but Himouto! Umaru-chan, Plastic Neesan, and Kiniro Mosaic are considered seinen as well lol. |
