| I just had to come and say Akira seems to be a cool character, like a cool beauty type. Wakana thinking he's met her before still has me kinda thinking she may be the girl from the beginning that traumatised him. All the characters meeting up, maybe Akira isn't good around energetic girls like Marin or she has some sort of complex like not feeling feminine. |
| I have to ask as an anime watcher even though i've known about this manga for over a year chose not to read til it was finished or anime came out do the 2 make any progress romance wise/ is there romance between the 2 in the first place? |
| Uh that Akira girl is special, so she's making original cosplay not based on a already existing character, that's cool, but I wonder where Gojou thinks he met her before, anyway there is also the afterparty with Suzuka so I wonder what will happens next. |

| So Akira is Gojou's childhood friend confirmed? Gojou mentions that he thinks he has seen her before and also at the end of the chapter when Marin called him Gojou, Akira reacted to that. She knew him as Wakana till now so makes sense. |

| Great chapter! Though, I don't think Akira is Gojou's chilhood friend. If she's Suzuka's friend, then she should also be an adult. She's probably a cosplayer we've seen before, though I don't know the reason why she's acting shy. |

My guess for why she's acting shy is shes basically a self-contained Gojou - not social at all, expresses herself through her creativity... So I'm thinking her purpose is he'll learn from her about more creative tools AND loosen his ideas of who can cosplay and why ... leading to him cosplaying <3 While I don't think there will be any romantic competition - I can see Marin getting jealous if Gojou meets up with her after - or if he focus on her during the party. |
| Not sure if Akira actually knows Wakana, or if her personality clashes with the force that is Marin. We shall see in the next couple of chapters. I'll throw the older sister of Wakana's childhood friend out there as a possibility. Remember, Gojuo-kun, stay healthy, if you can...... :' ) |

I feel the anime will show this in either ep 5 or 6 (depending on how the adapt the next part). And there is good progress (IMO) throughout the entire series. But the romance angle is backseat to the development of Marin and Gojo as people and educating around cosplaying in general. So it'll be a slooooow burn. |

I m all up for that, found it odd to introduce that girl early on, have a clear face and all, used more than once, even have a name for her, solely to never introduce her later. TBH, I would get a bit annoyed if they introduced a male rival for Gojou, but since it is a female rival to Marin, I m way finer with it, that is just how my brain works, I don't want to see Marin getting touchy with other guys, but I don't care if Gojou gets with other girls, it would be more fun to see Marin's reaction too. I guess I m way more used to harems than reversed harems. |

Similar face/sullen look - plus the traditional Japanese accents in her cosplay like was mentioned in their discussion this chapter. I am upset, I skimmed through looking for cosplayers and totally missed this. :P |

It's easily one of my favorites. A benefit the manga has is being drawn you can really appreciate the art more. You can give it a try, we're about 1.5 volumes in currently. |

| Was it really her? Akira got along well with Wakana who was very interested in original cosplays, but when he heard Marin call him "Gojou-kun!" her face has changed, it could also be because of Marin, however it is not made clear. Would it be Gojou-kun's childhood friend, the same one who would have rejected her passion for hina dolls? Both are very similar. |

In that case, Akira could either be another model, or someone like a photographer, prop person, etc. Or, since she recognizes Marin, and Gojou thinks she looks familiar, maybe she's a teacher at their school? It would be a bit odd if she was Gojou's childhood friend but didn't recognize him from the name Wakana, considering in the flashbacks that girl called him Wa-chan. She also seemed to be specifically avoiding meeting Marin's eyes after she showed up, so I think it's more likely she was reacting to Marin rather than the name "Gojou-kun" This is what I am thinking. They both confirmed if their names were their real names hinting they don't actually know eachother - so its likely that when Gojou tagged along to her modelling gig she was there too. Or she's a cosplayer he saw the work of when Marin was showing him stuff like mentioned above. This would mean that perhaps she does have a past with Marin - but Marin clearly doesn't recognize/know her - based on her greeting.... curious :P But that could lead into her not being noticed by Marin causing this awkward/discomfort around her. And we all know how hurt we'd be if ~Marin didn't notice us~ |
