| Out of a sudden, she admits she's the empress of Giad empire who ordered to invade the rest of the continents. So that means the Giad empire they live in now are only the other side of the Legion lol |
| Yeah this turned out to be a slice of life episode for the 86 but I must say Shin is still as badass as ever in normal clothes he needs to unstiffen his facial expressions once in a while This has some weird aspects and how they've been used to the "old tech" that they had before they were gone from the Republic's range and some bits of traumatic experiences still leads to them crawling behind their backs So they still planned on fighting yet again like they used to hope they still have the confidence like in the past, Frederica heated the atmosphere a bit but it almost didn't bother the 86 since it was the Republic that took their freedom away. |

| Frederica is starting to become likeable just like I thought, especially because of those mature deep lines she says all of a sudden. It's a good thing they'll go to battle through the officer school instead of going off to a dangerous adventure on their own. The ED is OK, I miss the previous ED by mizuki. |

If having ESP in a soft sci-fi genre is dumb might as well call Star Wars and Star Trek stupid, amirite? There's ESP in 86 not because "reasons". Frederica's ESP comes from her being having royal blood, which is a throwaway spoiler as to what Shin's lineage is. ESP is also one reason why the Alba thinks they are superior than other races, and also why they frown upon miscegenation. |

| Frederica was so adorable, Kuno Misaki nails loli voice every freaking time. It was nice to see the gang enjoying their peaceful time and through that they realised war is the only place for them. Frederica revealed her true identity which was obvious from the start but I wasn't expecting her to join them. And with that back to the war, pain and suffering. |

| The episode taking a spotlight for Frederica to the point she took the role to reveal the grand objective the remnant of the spearhead squadron may need to do for the rest of the episode this second cour have. She also introduced her identity to the gang, which, i can't help myself but reading some of her info in wiki beforehand, a bit, and ofc its already available in these lovely site character page. But that's good enough to understand how mature she could be when needed, and that's why she got all the embarassment while begging things to do to Shiden, or, Shin. I can't help but chuckle when realizing it. Not to mention with her sudden request. Damn girl, you really got the guts! Can't wait to see more of her screen time. This character really stole my attention. Anyway, that's a bit sad seeing them can't forget about the taste of the battlefield, especially Shin, she kept dreaming about their comrades. But, that's their passion after all. They can't be stopped. Even though Mr. President already kind enough to compensate the easy lifes, under another fake state, like the Republic. But, like Frederica said, don't take them to another cage, and be more trapped. At least the condition of him sounds good enough. Standard pension schemes, for the officers. Lena part next? I will take my time slowly before swallow everything in front. |

| Ah, why is it that I just can't stop watching if it's this show! Glad they had that short moment of respite, but they can't find peace just like that. They made their peace with dying in battle, but now that's invalid. They need to find that peace, and to do that they can't stay there. If I were to nitpick, it's Frederica. I don't mind her personality or language, but what exactly is a ten-year old (?) going to do at a military school? |

| Not sure how to feel about the loli having superpowers too and about the 86 squad surviving. Doesnt look like there is much substance to them but I thought that was just because they would die. Looks like I was wrong. |
| I don't know how to feel about Frederica... maybe I need to wait for an explanation, but I'm supposed to believe a 10 year old girl is not only an empress who can see someone's past because of the "power of the blood" she inherited, but she's also allowed on a battlefield at her age? Not to mention the way she speaks The show was never realistic or anything, but it at least felt grounded. The writing here is just goofy anime logic to me, doesn't feel befitting of this series |

| Such a dark story but the character interaction in this show is childish and side characters are just awful. The forceful comidy really decrease my overall enjoyment. Having hard time watching this shit so as of now I will keep this on hold. |
| Nice calm and relaxing chapter of slice of life. The Squad now trying to adapt with their new life as normal citizen and enjoying each hobbies and favorite activities. Raizen working as Delivery Person, Kurena seems to take a liking into fashion, Theo enjoyed drawing, Anju in the cooking class making some delicious food as she also seems to made some acquiantances there, and obviously Shin loves for books made library his stopping place. In the library Shin met a same-age looking boy called Eugen Rantz whose his younger sister, Nina was given picture book by Shin. Frederica somehow there too and try to get along with Nina as she was reading her a book. Eugen said that he often saw Shin reading in the library and he didn't go to school since he wasn't be able to. Shin dreamt of his goals to brought everybody toward the end and that bugging him. Eugenz woke him up, he took interest on Shin who seems to read about military book alot. He actually also had interest in it since he want to join Military so he can end the war and watch the sea with his younger sister. Some cute brotherly-sisterly moments between Shin & Frederica while walking around the town. After few days/weeks enjoying their new life, they couldn't just immediately jump into normal relaxing lives and pretended everything that they've been through behind them. The Squad realized this life wasn't their calling, as if they stopped right now and enjoy this "momentarily" peace they couldn't look at face of their deceased comrades.In the end their usual battlefield life is the most comfortable one. At first Ernst insisting on persuading them too stay put from the battlefield as they need to enjoy their peace after those long exhausting journey. As the debate going, finally Frederica butt in and told Ernts that they just escaped from the cage of tortured now he suddenly want to put them in the cage of pityness, as it didn't had any different of what San Magnolia did to them. Erntst finally calmed down and agreed with the condition that they need to attend the military academy, so at least their future were guaranteed in the end. As they thanked Frederica by calling her princess, she finally unveil her true identity. She's non other than Augusta Frederica Adel-Adler the last princess of Giad Empire. As the last condition for their return to battlefield she asked them to let her join them as she had almost same circumstance like Shin, she had someone close to her, mainly her precious knight named Kiriya that already turned into Sheperd and wanna put him to rest. Like Shin, she also had special ability. She can see someone past memories. That's why she knew about Kiriya attacking Shin beforehand and She also felt sorry to him as she didn't intended to also saw Shin painful past memories with his brother. And.. in the end we got introduced into the ED Alchemilia by Regal Lily, pretty awesome.. |

| Seeing them live a casual civilian life in this Federation (not-so-obvious german) country made me realize one thing, these fucking countries are self-sustaining! How!? Even back in the Republic people are living like they're at the top of the economic ladder like they don't trade with other countries do they?, even this federation survives without knowing anything about other countries because of the war. How are they managing this? Cause in real life even North Korea trades with others and they're living in poverty there. Also is this Federica kid one of those very annoying loli archetypes where they look 10 but are actually 50? |

I mean I didn't expect them to do nothing all season but still.... the masochism is real Also idk how they didn't get pissed at that loli even just a little. And why are they trying to portray her in a cutesy sympathetic light when she's a damn war criminal. So is she like one of those characters that are actually in their 20-30s and look like 10 or what? cause wtf. Miss me with that supernatural bloody eye shit or whatever though, I wish they would stop adding in supernatural stuff 'cause it's getting hard to take seriously. |

| It's nice how they let them rest while getting to experience living a 'normal' life with others without discrimination. But they're hearts still lie on the battlefield, the Spearheads are back in action! |

| I like how this episode captures the post-battle issues soldiers face in real life. Even in peacetime, the battlefield never leaves them. Seeing the group return to fight is inevitable, but it's still cool to watch. I'm surprised that Shinei didn't comment on the Rantz siblings' appearances. It's amusing to see Alba nobles in the empire instead of Magnolia. I'll be honest, Frederica kinda gets on my nerves. Hoping she will be more than just a team mascot in the story. |

| Again...we are fed another BS reasoning, this time it has to do with why they HAVE to go back and fight. Also it made it seem like they wanted to go back to the Republic..you know..the same Republic who enslaved them. This author is actually quite terrible at coming up with reasons and motivations for characters. If you're going to make them fight again, come up with an actual reason a human being would have. We're just told "Oh, it's where I belong and I miss my fricking slavery implant" Coming up with vapid reasons just to push the plot forward is the sign of a terrible writer...again highly rated on MAL ya'll! |
