What's up with all the manga snobbery here? A lot of spoiling here for those who are only watching the anime at this point...

I mean what's the point in reading now? You manga-reading "geniuses" already spoiled the Godly Pond Arc, Yuugo, and the fact that the story will be finished this season at this pace, etc.

I thought it was a great episode. Tons of tension and it was really cool to see a demon city. Glad I didn't read the manga based on the replies here.

Search every neverland anime forum and show me a comment where I did that.

Also what does it even matter if manga readers spoiled you guys or not. Since looks like you guys are too content with this season so why do you care what happened in the manga lol.

Not saying you specifically, but your fellow manga-readers sure have loose lips when it comes to discussions of plot.

Some of us actually read the manga afterwards if we enjoyed the anime ...not all anime viewers are anime-only...

Oh well, lesson learned. Avoid online discussions for the more popular titles because of manga snobs.

They ruined the anime adaptation. The manga and the anime are 2 separate works now. So much content and story has been skipped. I don't see it becoming better.

I am quite sad how much they skipped and how they decided to reintruduce him. But looking at the episode like it's more of a stand-alone then the adaptaion of the manga i think it was pretty solid. It had that myterious vibe that hooked me in the first season and made me read the manga. At this point I'm pretty sure we will get to where the manga went just in a very differant way. I also really liked they showed more of the demon world this early.

I think its a step-up from the last episode. I really really enjoyed the scene with the old man and the subplot with the 2 demons. However, I would've liked a bulid-up to the demons city (it's so direct here its doesn't leave an impact. Also I don't like how Emma and Ray don't learn about demon degradations and why they have to eat meat. Overall is not as awful as episode 4, but the series still has big issues.

Norman is my favourite character, I'm so happy to see him though they rushed up so much of the plot.
I'm prepared to forget whatever I read in the manga and focus on this series as a standalone. This episode was at least better than the previous one

You know what, even if I completely hate an anime and think it's complete garbage I would never rate it below 5. That just doesn't feel right to me cause no matter how bad a thing is the studio and other people involved had to do some work. So I give a 5 for that.

You are just a stupid shit head giving the anime less rating because it changed the route ! The current episode was really good ! It even feels better than the Goldy pond arc !! Either way the manga ending is shit and everybody knows that. That is the reason why the author is trying different ending . People like you really doesn't deserve anime !!!!!

I was expecting Norman to come back sooner or later but damn that reveal was kinda lame.

I wonder if we'll ever get to see the two demon's sick siblings again. It kinda felt like they were trying to get the viewer to sympathize with the demons, I hope they follow up on that instead of just killing everyone involved 5 minutes in lol

What's the point in making Norman go away so dramatically in season 1, if after 2 episodes of season 2 they are going to meet again? Literally pure trash, although I liked that they showed the way the demons live.

But still, the manga does explain that too in later episodes, this feels rushed af, what's the next? They are going to attack the farms in the lasts episodes of the season and end the anime? Because it's rushed af.

No, it isn't better than Goldy Pond, you see, as Emma said in this episodes, they are in a world of demons where everyone wants to eat humans, it is far better to show how humans have to deal with demons to survive, and that arc was splendid for that, this is just bs

This ep didn't really bother me and I thought it was ok. But I'm Anime only, so I don't no what's missing be it good or bad like you manga readers. But I can feel your pain, since it seems like a couple good arcs got skipped.

I'll just keep watching it as if it was anime original and there wasn't a manga. Still it hasn't been as nutastic as S1 but it hasn't been completely shit either.
Time skip is no problem since I can deduce what happened after they escaped from demon. Probably just a bunch of living off the land, running from while demons and finding a place to stay. Now we can see what's gonna happen next with Norman and whoever he's with.

can any manga reader tell me how much of this episode is anime original?

How about the reveal, is it done better and later in the manga?

Emma allowing the two kids to come outside through the demons market and all for food, an anime original or manga one?

That was awful.

- We went straight from the children being on the run without shelter after last week's assault to them finding a safe space at a shrine without any explanation as to how they got there.

- They made the demons in this episode look pretty goofy looking... Like something out of a Disney cartoon. I know you have to humanize them somewhat to explain the degeneration thing and make us pity them somewhat, but the non-threatening designs were off-putting.

- Of course the two younger children fuck things up for them as if it that couldn't have been more obvious.

- Norman and his crew just happen to be in the area the moment they're being chased? I suppose they could explain it as his crew having seen them before and therefore were scouting the area for them, but the timing feels way too convenient.

Now for the worst thing of all...

They cut the last good arc in the series and are now basically doing some kind of awful hodgepodge of bits from the shittiest final arcs in the manga with a couple of new but ultimately inconsequential scenes? The ideal situation would have been to cover Goldy Pond AND THEN do an all new anime original conclusion. Instead we get this shit. Norman is fucking back yet again... Why? It was fucking stupid in the manga and I have zero faith it won't be stupid here.

They had the freedom to truly do something original and instead it's just a shittier remix with worse pacing.

Don't they have real scriptwriters because this is just taking plot elements from the manga and making bootleg versions of them with contrived events happening, also the season feels like filler. Look at these episodes so far - kids eating, something happens at the end, plot saves them or something.

This was absolute dogshit compared to the manga, the anime adaptation of the Norman reveal was fucking awful and way too soon it was SO MUCH better in the manga, they tried so hard making each episode interesting with minimal effort using their own scenarios outside of the manga its not one bit good at all-and why the fuck would they cut the last best arc out of the manga?? Their opportunity to change the plot and make another ending was terribly wasted into a revolting remake.

I don't know about the common opinion, but I hate it when a "dead" character comes back. I was afraid of that because of the vague nature of his death. This drops straight to a 4 for me... Such potential just straight flushed down the toilet.

Ok, this episode was pretty mid in my opinion. The tension from the monsters is kinda gone in this episode and Norman being back was already expected but I feel like it could've been done better or later at least.

But what I don't get is that all I heard from manga readers before this season aired was that this was the weakest part of the manga and now all the manga readers are bitching that they changed some parts. I'm still enjoying this and it's still a really good show, you can't say that this season is all bad.

+1

Although I read the manga (I was not fond of several parts after the first arc (honestly, the remaining acts had some ups and downs) + I wasn't into the bittersweet ending it had)...

...I still think it's a great season (despite the fact the pace is a bit messy at times, which might make some sort of confusion for the viewers + despite the fact several chapters (and characters) of the manga were skipped (it does make me think the anime staff could want to end TPN's anime journey in this season (as the manga had already ended sometime ago) - there are worse seasons from some anime series than this one

By the way, it actually didn't bother me the fact we had a sudden time skip (I see that happening on some live-action series, soap operas, brazilian telenovelas, etc...)
