I don't normally watch emotional shows, and I didn't watch Clannad expecting it to be as emotional as it was, yet I'm glad I kept watching. Clannad also made me cry a few times, the first time being to that Tomoyo OVA.

So far, Angel Beats! Episode 10 and the finale got me right in the feels, man.

But I haven't exactly watched loads of anime yet.

Aria. Puts a grin on my face everytime I watch it, the show is pure bliss.

One Piece feels really nostalgic to me now and leaves a hole in my heart whenever I reminisce the good old days.

And NHK ni Youkoso/Byousoku 5cm would take it for depressing stuff, because really relatable. Actually, Aoi Bungaku Series 1st arc was more depressing and made me want to kill myself, whereas the aforementionned two acted more like a mirror.

Don't remember where Evangelion stands, but it was also a moving experience.

Plenty of anime make me emotional. But if you're talking about sadness... Your Lie in April, Violet Evergarden, Made in Abyss made me shed a couple tears. Hell, Death Parade messed me up pretty bad too.

Not really, HxH is just a masterpiece, both the old and the new version. Number 1 anime for me, I guess. I didn't really get that emotional though

satsuki no tenshi made me pretty emotional... anger is an emotion. Is confusion an emotion?

every thing was bad and confusingly so.

I guess Pupa also made me sad... sad that someone thought it was good

ansastsu kyoushitsu made me cry a lot, which was unexpected when I first started watching lol
evangelion had a huge impact on me, I watched the last ten episodes on a row in like a trance and when it ended I cried for a good hour. it was awesome ;-;
sora yori mo tooi basho made me cry basically on every episode
shoujo kakumei utena, madoka magica, violet evergarden and versailles no bara as well
and, of course, shigatsu wa kimi no uso

Koe no Katachi made me really emotional. 3-gatsu no Lion, especially season 2, as well. I also have to admit that Fairy Tail had quite a few good emotional moments. It's one of the highlights of that show for me. Madoka Magica did as well. LoGH had its moments when it was really emotional, even if, being so long, it wasn't as often as for most of these shows. But it was no less strong when it happened. I also found Angel Beats quite emotional, but less than the aforementioned shows, it suffered from being rushed, imo. I supposed that there were some more shows, but these are the only ones that came to mind right away. So I think that it was the most apparent for these.

Episode 13 of Darling in the franxx gets me nigh every time. Dunno maybe it's because Zero2 kinda reminds me of lucy in some ways and I grew up with Elfenlied as one of more seriuos first Anime.

Shigatsu wa kimi no uso is also really sad to watch especially since you know how it will end right from episode 7 or 8.. I can't remember anymore but you still keep watching it till EP 22.

To watch it is like you're a lemming running straight to the cliff while knowing exactly you will fall over it and die at the end.

Clannad and Clannad:After Story. Before I started watching it I had already heard that it was really sad but damn...I was not expecting to cry as much as I did. The show also looks gorgeous, especially for a mid-late 2000s anime.
Are we really gonna make it..?

I haven't cried over an Anime to be honest. But Clannad Afterstory definitely hit me.

I'd like to see if a show could top it sometime soon. It'll happen sooner or later. Will always be a classic though. :)
