Ah! Thanks for sharing; it's good to see you've gotten so far and I like what you've made, but here's some ways to make it look better; the text is blurry- to change this make your text a little bigger when you create on Cooltext, and then after you drag it into GIMP scale it down don't scale it up. Then the text will look even better, I promise :D Also it's too big for the profile About Me if you want to use it there, when you make a new graphic it should be 798px or less in width. And maybe bring the anime and manga links closer together? D: Anyways let me know if you continue on it! I always like to see. |

Then you hold, drag, and release it all over the graphic where you want slices. Its similar to Guillotine and the Guidelines in GIMP actually. And then choose File -> Save for Web and choose Original on the upper left and Save. It should send the pieces to its own folder.    I should hopefully have the Photoshop profile graphic tutorial next week btw! It's far better for graphics these days than GIMP in most areas (but not all :D) |

| Thanks for showcasing my profile as an example in the video tutorial! :D I've never used GIMP before so I'm unaware with the steps you used for adding an animated GIF in the profile graphic. I use my own method but I think mine is more complicated. xD I'd love to see your next tutorial video featuring profile graphics from Photoshop. :9 Btw, I also would like to have an autoplay feature for embedded videos in my profile. That would really rock! If only that was possible. But I think the autoplaying music might annoy some visitors in my profile. It depends on the user, lol. |

I have been trying to add frame that was already done in gimp but it didnt came out for me. |

| Hai! Great video Shishio-kun, nicely done. There is a thread for donation of CSS styles and graphics here Where there is mostly CSS donation, but a few Photoshop donations to learn, experiment with and draw inspiration from. I just recently posted my own donation there if anyone want to see and have a look. (Link goes to mine directly, but feel free to explore it.) However these are PSD files, for Photoshop mainly. But for anyone who use GIMP don't worry, I have some graphics in GIMP from some time back. These tho, are not as advanced as the Photoshop graphics. But I hope they will be useful either way. I would love to help anyone with learning graphic design from the limited experience I have from almost 2 years, so you may ask me directly for help, tips or tricks if you want. And I will try to reply with the best of my abilities! |

Oh, nice job. I like the simple aesthetic here. A bit more complex banner at top, and a simpler bottom half give it a nice flow. I also like the color scheme for it, the monochrome with some subtle color, it's simple but nice in the eyes. I like the touch on the lantern ;) |

I don't remember what I did tho, besides reslicing it from the original. I think it's just because you had so many slices and they needed to be reuploaded and resliced because something went wrong during the process. Maybe a sliced image got mixed up with another? Graphics shouldn't be over 798px across for the profile |

I really appreciate this tip! All these years I've been slicing with GIMP, but I tried following your steps and was finally able to do it with Photoshop. It's amazing how much more efficient Photoshop's slicing is comparing to GIMP's. Not only does it automatically save each part and sort them into a folder, but it also names them numerically so they're organized properly when uploaded to an image-hosting website. |

| Hi there... So about 2 weeks ago I saw your video. One of my friends asked my to try gfx and making cards. She sent me here to learn about the basics. Well i DID check you the video but did not see it properly, just skipped to here and there (yeah I am lazy and impatient... sorry about that xD But more importantly I wanted to learn it myself without anyone's help) Although I didn't see the video but i did pick up the links, downloaded gimp and started some gfx. | I am not Interested in making profile layouts for now... But if everything goes right with my collage life after the final exams next month... I might try. Although judging my the code below the completed solutions, you must be cutting the actual images into smaller pieces and adding hyperlinks to the smaller portions as required. If my deduction was correct then whoa!! That's a really great idea!! |

| Also there was 1 really important thing. I saw many users commenting how they can't find guillotine option. That's because in the newer versions of gimp, it's called differently. Now it's called "Slice using Guides" and they can be found under Image>Slice using Guides. You should put that in the comments section and pin it so others don't get confused as I, and probably many more people did. :D @Shishio-kun |
