19.6K on BluRay alone. Announce season 2 already.

ZLS own Fall 2018 anime.

*3. 3,958 **3,958 Toaru Majutsu no Index III Vol.1 Limited Edition

Sad this didn't sell more. Lesson to all anime studios. Never delay sequel for too long or else the hype will gone.Hopefully sales improve in second week.

Index sold that low because of QUALITY.The hype is WAS still there when they announced it.Then it started airing and anyone who wasnt a blind fanboy realized it would be a lot worse than the previous seasons.

It is a miracle it sold ~4k if you ask me.

So, 2018 had in total 3 extremely successful Slice of life with all-female cast, each of which sold about 20,000 copies. An interesting year.

Something isn't right here. Shouldn't the first one be "regular edition" or something?

Index III flop ?
This always happens when you waste too much time for nothing.
Ao no Exorcist and Shingeki no Kyojin all of these animes had very good sales, but suffered the same fate, waiting and wasting time is killing the hype.

Nah, limited editions always sale much better than regular ones. Japs prefer to pay more but get all bonuses as a rule.

J.C.Staff gets the the same isue for the third time (hello Shana and Louise). Thuogh, partially it is produsers fault, not studios and partially it is related to questionable decigions (like Shana S2 being half filler which really affected the impression from S3 or Index III having questionable production quality som3etimes).

On the other hand I am glad for YagaKimi. Total sales should be around 4,6k already which is decent, especially for a yuri title.

and so glad SSSS Gridman is selling well

The number that actually brought smile on my face. Would have been great if it surpassed 4k. :)

Feck repey yuri like Citrus and Netsuzou which are nothing but reverse-BL.

Holy crap, Zombieland Saga has been killing it out there. I'm also surprised to see a re-release of Girls und Panzer in the mix fairly high up too.

Someone on this forum was confidently telling me that Zombieland Saga was NOT popular in Japan, it was even hated, because they saw some website that posted a 'Most Popular airing shows in japan' and ZLS was way down, dead wrong it seems.

It's quite good when you consider the main problem of the serie (for some people) that is ... the ending.

This anime was really good nonetheless.
