| Loli isn't about size if you stick to what it really means so if it's some old hag in a tiny body that doesn't make her a loli in my book, just a tiny woman. Lolis are about childlike characteristics/personalities and being prepubescent or in early adolescense way more than they are about body size. If it's just about body size you can just use regular adjectives like small or tiny, you don't need to use 'loli' which has so much more connotations (age, childlike personality, sexualization). Linguistically speaking it makes just no sense to me. Although nowadays people just use loli to refer to literally everything, from non-sexualized kid characters to older women who just happen to be a bit small so it is just another case of the anime fandom turning something into a meaningless buzzword where you have to give people a questionaire to fill out if you want to know what they actually mean. I can understand conflating sexualized and non-sexualized kid characters in anime because outside of hentai or doujins it's not always clear where the line is. Although personally I think there's a big difference and there should be terminology to tell them apart. But I'll never get why people want to call adult women lolis just because they're small. If you're attracted to lolis purely because of body size and not because of all the characteristics associated with their age, then you just like small girls, but not lolis. Just say you like small girls, why call them lolis which refers to prepubescent characters? Just because you want to be part of the prestigious lolicon community? That can't be it. Nobody should want that because of the stigma. As a sidenote you can talk about a loli-artstyle for example, which just makes characters look younger. In doujins you can often see the same characters being parodied and looking younger (or older) than they are in the original so artstyles that make characters older or younger looking definitely exist. But that's different from talking about loli as a character. The bottom line is that the question doesn't make much sense to me. First of all it's always 'okay' to lewd fiction, and secondly those wouldn't be lolis then so why would you tell yourself you're liking a loli rather than a small-ish adult? Are people that desperate to identify as lolicons? |
