| Agreed, it's very odd that they start with a comedic chapter. But I'm glad that the anime series is 20min+ and including shorter stories as well. Junji Ito is one of the best, so it will be interesting. Even though most of his material are kinda bad when it's not in his manga form. | I've only read a very very very small amount of Ito Junji's work, probably like 3-5 oneshots that I've randomly come across at some point (one of them being the doll one featured at the end of the episode, totally forgotten I'd seen that and was surprised when I recognised it). I wasn't really expecting much for an anime adaptation but I was pleasantly surprised. I really like the story telling and I was genuinely interested throughout the whole episode, the ongoing creepy atmosphere was really intriguing to me. The dark humour with Souichi was funny as shit too. I didn't think I'd be excited to see more but I really am, and I'm excited to see more horror focused stories. I also wouldn't be mad if Souichi reappeared with that comical life of his. |

| Hilarious episode. Looks like the next story will focus more on horror. The old man and all his “YER MESSING WITH MY GODDAMN CEDAR TREES!” got me good for some reason. |
| This is a pure garbage. This show feels more like bad compedy show not a horror show I did like ousama game from last season. Evil or live was ok. But I probably drop this one if does not get better next episode |

| Enjoyed, but not as much as I was hoping too.. I'm quite the scaredy cat (spent three days with no sleep after Amigara Fault), so what I thought was that I'd get no sleep after one of these episodes... going by Souichi's story, it's not going to make me lose sleep, but will give me a creepy vibe and enjoyable time. Though, that doll segment? I might not sleep today after all |

| Not what I was expecting but kind of what I was expecting. I expected it would be better but I couldn't think of any way to make it better. It just somehow works for this manga collection. Oh well. | I didn't like it. It's not a good episode to start and get people into the series, and even worse when they actually tried to fit another story by the end. At this point, I think Junji Ito is cursed, but I'm still going to watch this through. I really wish they are going to choose better stories, it's not like you have to fish them, they're everywhere. Little edit: I like Souichi but there are much better stories of him to start. This one looked cheap. |

| I honestly liked how Studio Deen tried to bring the feels of Ito-sensei's manga into the anime. I love how its animated, but the first episode is more of like a comedy which is kinda lame for the first episode. Should have started with the Enigma of Amigara Fault which will lasts for two or more episodes. Idk the first episode should be the bringer of the BAM! Hahaha. 4/5. I hope this will be 2-cour; it will be extremely lame if this will only have 12 episodes. |

| I'm not really familiar with Junji Ito's works but I thought they fcked the story at first lol, since it was so lighthearted for Junji Ito manga, that Doll chapter tho... yep, definietly Junji ito alright I wonder if they will animate Spiral chapter. That'll be my nightmare animated |

| As I thought the voice acting was not good, Souichi sounds like a retard not a creepy guy. The inflection in his voice is all over the place, the side characters are similarly bad actors unable to convey any emotion in their voice. Wonder why they decided to adapt this story first as it is essentially a gag manga, the next episode will either be a 180 and be terrifying or another one of the lighter works with 3 minutes dedicated at the end to cram in another one shot. I'm hoping that this anime can strike fear into me and not out of a jump scare. But maybe anime isnt the medium for that, certainly not with this fucking horrendous acting. |

| Out of all of Ito Junji, they just have to choose my least favorite story for the first episode. The adaptation is pretty bare bone too. It's just a moving manga, panel to panel, without any attempt to make it works as an animation. |

| It was an okey first ep, pretty entertaining. Maybe a little dissapointing since I was hoping for it to be scary. Also, Souichi's voice seems a bit off, but I guess that's just what happens when you get used to a manga character. ~Loved the ending. |

| Strangely entertaining in a sense that it was more cynical comedy rather than something horror-like. But considering these are a collection of short stories, there's a lot of variety maybe. Doubt I'm going to pick up the stories to read now to check, though. Guess we'll see how it goes. |
