178k for Oregairu. Not bad tbh, considering the hiatus.

This is probably the only Isekai worth looking at it. The author at least do his research when using references of the western civilization and its past.

There is a genuine pursuit to make politics as real as possible in a fantasy setting.

My new favorite novel. Love the worldbuilding and the characters. Given that vol4 just came out last month in English, I hope J-novel starts on this volume immediately.

Youjitsu's anime was shitty, inconclusive, and only served as bait to get people to read the source. It's only stupid if it doesn't work, but it's still annoying that it did.

They will start it this month as soon as they get the script from Overlap(the publisher).

It's really enjoyable read. I'm sure that sooner or later it will get an anime.

It seems, SAO actually dropped by at least 50-60k compared to last volume. I guess people simply don't care about this side story or something

45. *4,229 *52,992 Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index Vol.19

Index dropped from 150k to 50k in 3 years (from vol11 to vol19) LOL this is just brutal. I keep saying that, but its actually so funny. I wonder if those butthurt people who gave the ultimatum for the author (about promised season 3) will actually ever buy it again, now that season 3 was announced :D

Anyway, a lot of isekais on the list as usual, and that's a good thing, of course

Classroom of the edgy is number 1. I wonder how would they make season 2 since they botched the anime and the best grill has almost 0 screen time. Dang there are also lots of isekai.

Classroom of the elite vol 1 got 100K sales, Vol 7 got 47K sales in first week is quite good for a LN that just became popular after the anime arrived. I wouldn't get surprised if in next years it could top SAO lol

Nor would I - I'd be absolutely flabbergasted.

Sales rarely rise significantly after the anime adaptation ends, and when they rise at all then it's usually following a prolonged period of significant back volume sales, which we simply aren't seeing here.

For it to overtake SAO I'd be looking for all of the following at the absolute minimum at this point:
- Every volume to have ranked comfortably every week in which the anime aired (reality: they were fluctuating in and out of the bottom of the rankings for much of the time)
- Volume 1's total recorded sales to be above the recorded sales of the latest SAO volume (reality: they were 47% lower, and that's assuming that SAO 20 drops out the rankings next week)
- At least a couple of volumes still on the ranking at this point, and with back volume sales that are either high or stable enough to have increased due to the new volume and at the very least well above that of SAO (reality: no volumes on the rankings; total backlog sales are now <10k, down by more than 10% on last week despite the new volume, and will probably drop below SAO's from next week onwards)

YouJitsu's anime boost was good, for sure, but let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Yeah, it's a shame that she hardly got screentime. I was actually looking forward to seeing her more because of 1. she was labeled as a main character at one point on MAL, and 2. she was voted 3rd most favorited in a popularity poll before the anime aired. I have no knowledge of this series prior to the anime and both my reasons might not have any real meaning but it's still disappointing to see so little of her.
