The cast members, along with a teaser video, have been revealed. The anime aired during Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block in Spring 2011 for a total of 11 episodes. NIS America licensed the series and released a two-disc DVD and Blu-ray set in July 2012, and a complete collection in October 2013. A sequel movie retelling the TV series and including original scenes premiered in August 2013. | I hated AnoHana and that white haired chick's voice actress was god awful but I wish American anime dubbing companies could stop violating anime (especially anime that already have been out for years) with their shitty dubs. The Gintama dub was a mistake and so is this dub probably going to be. I have ZERO expectations (Note that I specifically said ANIME DUBBING companies and not DUBBING companies as there are competent American voice acting companies and American voice actors but they usually don't work in the anime dubbing industry) |

Also, is it just me or is it weird how they keep Anohana (a contraction of the full Japanese title) in the title while also giving it an english title that translates a third of the Japanese title? A lot of localized titles do this and it's really jarring cuz it feels like they're just saying the title twice, once in Japanese and once in English lol. |

| I never watched the anime before, cause I never had the time or energy for it. But I will take a look into the dubs :3 I guess they will be good. So far every Anime I watched in Eng Dub was pretty good quality. Waaaaay better then the german Dubs. They are just nightmares. |

Hopefully with Patrick Seitz in charge of the dub, I do have good hopes that the dub will be good, since I really like the Japanese cast's performance overall. =) At least I'm being optimistic about this rather than certain sub elitist posts above. =/ Just give then a chance to prove themselves... |

| I'm not sure if anything can save the most dramatic parts of this show; they're too over the top. It didn't work with the Japanese dub and it almost certainly won't in the English one. Still, Anohana was a pretty good show overall. Hopefully the dub will be good for the dub-only people. |

I actually think the dub will be able to tone down the over dramatic stuff, since voice acting in Japanese is almost always way over exaggerated, so in Anohana it kind of makes the melodrama even more eye-roll inducing. I won't be buying this release, but good for the fans. |

Lol that's won't happen with every single dub because there isn't enough demand or budget and most companies don't want to take risks because people will shit all over their work even if it's good. I mean Funimation and aniplex have improved a LOT and people still shit on their best dubs (FMA b, steins gate, space dandy, durrara, fate zero, hellsing ultimate ect) for no freaking reason. These dubs were acted by experienced actors (J Michael Tatum, crispin freeman, Laura bailey, Troy Baker, Ian Sinclair) and many other good VAs and directed by experienced voice directors so I don't see why you don't like them. The voice acting in these is on the same level as many good American cartoons. |

And what do you think has happened to those voice actors? That's right, almost all of them have left the anime dubbing industry and entered the domestic cartoon industry instead because the American anime dubbing industry has nothing to offer them. |

| @Comic_Sans not really, it is not bullshit. if there isn't enough demand then they won't bother with putting enough money or effort into dubbing small unknown series. btw these actors left because there they don't get paid enough and the reason why they don't get paid enough is because there isn't enough demand for dubs, it's that simple really. i'm pretty sure most companies would bring their A game and produce good stuff all the time if people were more open minded about dubs and if they have enough support. |
