That ending left me all warm and fuzzy.

Yuuri has come a long way. I remember how flustered he was when Victor offered to be his boyfriend at the beach. But now, when Victor reminds him that the words he just said sounded like a marriage proposal, he just takes a second to process then just smiles and hugs Victor... At that moment, they were more than just a skater and his coach.

This was beautiful.

I really liked the development between the siblings. I wondered how they were going to pull it off and I was not disappointed.

Yurio's performance was amazing! And him cheering (almost) for yuri was so cute. That scene where he gave him food, my heart.

Lmao at Yuri hugging everyone.

And the highlight of this episode, the reunion. It was BEAUTIFUL. The feels.

Next episode seems like a break from all the skating competitions, am excited.

So many people in denial of Victor and Yuri's relationship. You can clearly see they are in love.

My god, this episode was beautiful. I might say even better than the fateful episode seven. I literally started crying when Yuuri and Viktor started running while looking at each other, and I'm so glad Makachhin is alive. Also, Yurio was awesome in this episode, and I love how he's such a big softie on the inside. Tsundere baby

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Yurios FS was absolutely amazing, great music as well. This song used in the second Trailer made me watch The show in the first place. Of course, I especially loved the intimate moments between Yuri and Viktor. I do feel the love, whatever kind of love it may be. I tent to think of it as a romantic love, just about to blossom. So maybe a bit early for a proper proposal in the next episode.

Again, another great episode. The feels are getting stronger too with Yuri barely making it to the Grand Prix. It's one of those moments when you know they'll advance for sure but you still get all emotional and relieved when you see the character's feelings afterwards. And his hugging everyone... stop being so cute ;; I'm just loving Yuri more now.

Yurio's really fired up now, losing twice to that Canadian demigod over there. I hope Yurio at least scores higher than him next time. But even then he'll probably be pissed if Yuri beats him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Expecting great things at the Grand Prix for the love of jj

I don't think actual marriage is on the table, it was just a bit of metaphorical teasing.

That said, I do have hopes for a proper love confession or fully visible kiss before the end. I know those points have both kind of been reached, but I wouldn't mind seeing them revisited more directly.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing yuri and victor hang out more outside of a competition. We haven't had that for a while.

For the one who are looking for a marriage... they will be in Spain for the Grand Prix Final in the last three episodes so...
Btw, I don't want it! It just sound stupid so early in their relationship! But I don't mind a special/OVA for Valentine Day!

I loved the hug and marriage proposal in Fukuoka airport! (and the lost luggages at the end!) So much love between them ^o^
It was the first time they were separated since more eight months (Victor arrived in Yuuri's home on March 11 (the dogga was posted on March 10) and we are now near Yuuri's birthday so just before November 29)

I want to see not emotionless Victor dancing Hanarezuni soba ni ite for Yuuri! Like at the very beginning of the first episode.

Of course, more Victor/Yuuri next week ^o^
Otabek/Yurio? O_o
Hope for a romantic, cute and funny episode next week! ^o^

i really enjoyed this episode, it seems like the skating animations are getting better and better. so sad that this is only 12 episodes, so much potential....

Yurio was absolutely beautiful, his hair was perfect. amazing program as well, very difficult.

the hug rampage was hilarious, so glad Yuri made it to the Finals.

yay the dog is alive! i did want to see the emotional sad side of Viktor but i guess not. very cute ending as well

this episode felt different from others, there was more humor and it was a more serious tone i feel like

"something gold and round" wow i was kinda hoping there would be some tiny hint of a proposal at the end but it looks like it's actually happening. i would have liked a 20+ episode anime so they could build up slower to it but i guess they have to move fast

people should stop believing that this is purely queer bait already

The hugging scene was adorable! It was like Yuri was trying to see if hugging other skaters would feel the same as when he hugs Viktor XD

Yurio's performance was really impressive :) and he and Yuri had a short moment of bonding! :)
Oh, and the dog is okay! :)

Yurio's grandpa is a badass.
Anastasis pun is great, especially paired with the description and one of the following phrases "superhuman feat."
Speaking of those choujin, Yurio's outfit instantly reminded me of rogue Jiro from ConRevo.
I wish Yakov and Yuuri got a longer conversation together. Was hoping for this episode to explore their previously nonexistent dynamic.

Reaction shots, blurs during jumps, floatiness of the beginning of Yuuri's free skate, cutaways, and closeups still bothering me. Also the sound effects that they play when they cut to flashbacks have just started getting on my nerves.
At the end of both Yurio's and Yuuri's free skates, they did some zoom ins (for both) and two quick cuts (for just Yuuri's). They didn't really have as much as an impact as they felt like they should have, and just seemed out of place. Also: when Yurio and Yuuri talk (mostly Yurio tho) near the end, Yuuri's voice has just as much volume and clarity as Yurio's, even though he's wearing a surgical mask. And: They repeated the animation of Yuuri taking off the surgical mask while running to Viktor. That was jarring, to say the least.

That all being said, Yurio's performance was fucking amazing.

Edit: Gif of that repeat.

That was a mistranslation. Yuri says 引退まで、ぼくのことをお願いします, which translates to something like "please take care of me until I retire". Then we have Victor saying how he wants Yuri to never retire. I don't think you can call this bait anymore.

To Japanese, Valentine's Day is simply a day the girls give chocolates to all men they know: family, co-workers, friends their crush, etc. It's not really a romantic holiday which involves people dating or something.

The dating and romantic holiday in Japan is Christmas' Eve. You don't give presents to anyone except your lover or love interest.

Aww, that pork cutlet piroshki! Knew Grandpa would be making something like that. But the fact that Yurio gave Yuri some, and remembered his birthday - aww.

Yurio's performance was fantastic, difficult technicality. But of course he loses to JJ lol. JJ's skating has the most difficult technique, and considering he used to lose to Victor too - that really shows how good Victor is.

Glad to see Mickey growing more independent. A little sad for Seung Gil, poor thing.

Can i just be happy to see Georgi again? lmao XD

Yurio's FP is absolutely beautiful. He's so cute this ep, daring himself after getting support from grandpa, broke his record, cheering on Yuuri, running from Yuuri XD, and then chat up with him and roundabout way of saying Happy Birthday! Such a precious kid. It's funny how Yurio is only able to act friendly towards Yuuri when Victor isn't around.

Yuuri has always felt that Victor is his only support on stage. To miss that during his program now, I've wondered how he would feel about that, and this show has answered it. When Yakov scolded him about not making full effort for the program Victor went out of his way to create for him, I guess he made up his mind then and there (to retire). Then he hugged Yakov and in his mind promised to give Victor back to him... That seriously made me sad.

Then he went on a hugging spree LMAO. Hugging JJ and that Korean guy too! That was priceless XDDDD

And then the airport scene. They are at the final's door now, Grand Prix Final, in which Victor promised to make Yuuri win, and finally, they both expressed what they will do after it ends. Despite how Victor joked about marriage proposal, Yuuri still ended up crying while hugging him. I think I need to rewatch later and listen to their conversation instead of reading subs. I'm not sure what to make out of this but it was a very touching scene, I legit almost cried. And I still have yet to see what is it that is in Victor's heart that motivated him to coach Yuuri. We know that he likes Yuuri's skating and that he was feeling like he's at the end of the line (can't surprise audience anymore or sth), but what is it really? I really want to see Victor's character development.

Why couldn't we get some screen of Victor accompanying his doggie while watching Yuuri's performance?

Someone on this thread mentioned that next ep might be rest ep based on the preview (and that lost luggage subtitle). I'm looking forward to it. This is only ep 9, I'm looking forward to more surprise element to stir up on both story and character development side.

Couldn't care less about the incest.

I wonder why they subbed it as 'please be my coach until I retire' xD when he actually didn't specify the coach bit which was why Victor said it sounded like a marriage proposal. It was actually something like "Please take care of me until I retire".. NOW THATS A PROPOSAL <33333333

THIS EPISODE WAS GODLY. YURIO'S SMILE when he was talking about his gramps was SO ADORABLE. his performance was amazing as well, and the way he nearly shouted out to encourage Yuri when he was skating was just.........he's come so far. I love him the beautiful boy. Yuri's skating was surprisingly not as bad as I thought it'd be with Victor gone, he didn't get as high as I'm sure all of us hoped but to be honest I kinda expected him flubbing nearly all his jumps (LOL oops) so this is really great!

also the scene at the airport. The. End. Of. My. Heart.

To the rest of people there saying it was too dramatic for them to start running towards each other in the airport... LOL. I don't think they'd do that in normal circumstances, but Victor left Yuri during his most crucial moment in the competition, and they were both mentally worn down, I'm sure you'd start running towards your loved one in that state of mind....

It's implicit he means as coach because Victor was talking about it. It sounds like a marriage proposal because the "please stay take care of me/I'll be in your care" is usually what japanese people say when they start going steady as couple.

Yes I know he means as coach LOL XD I was just talking about how he never actually exactly said 'as coach' because if someone told me 'Please take care of me until I retire' while I was having a conversation about coaches and stuff I would still kinda stare at them and be like "You mean as a coach right?" XD Rather than if someone said "Please be my coach until I retire"... if you get my drift... (very bad at explaining things)

Basically I was just talking about how there's still a degree of uncertainty in that vague wording which allowed Victor to process that it sounded like a marriage proposal. You know... -helpless hand gestures- Sorry I'm so bad at words LOL

I'm surprised Yurio pulled through and performed a perfect free. I was expecting him to be unable to make the Grand Prix Final this year due to his age and inexperience.

This was a very good episode to make up for the plot device last episode to drive Viktor away so Yuri can confront himself alone on the ice without Viktor and become stronger for it. Well he didn't do so well as I expected but at least he made it to the Grand Prix finals, not that anyone doubted he would with this whole anime leading up to it.

The reunion scene had my heart doing 'doki doki' XD Awwwwwww I feel like half my prediction came true! If Yuri gets gold in the Grand Prix final he wouldn't have to retire and Viktor would remain his coach for the future!

I guess with Viktor going back to Japan it enables Yuuri to analyze and give more clear thoughts about Viktor. Was a bit worried when Yuuri place as 3rd even before JJ perform, whom I'm sure will place at 1st or 2nd rank, that will push Yuuri to the 4th so I was glad that because he ranks at 2nd place in previous competition that let's him join the grand prix.

Mickey and Sala relationship though!! Despite they are just siblings but their feelings for each other, especially Mickey, is so deep. But I'm glad that they are not really letting go of each other 100% just that they will not stick so close like before. And does Emil really have interest in Sala? No matter how I look at it it seems he's way more interested in Mickey though (and secretly I actually ship them).

Yurio is such a tsundere~~ Nyehehehe~

That last scene of Viktor and Yuuri, no one can convince me that they are not in love with each other. Nope. No one.

The episode was really nice, especially the two last scenes (yurio cheering yuuri up and the reunion), but I wish they didn't dedicate so much time to the other skaters and instead focused more on advancing the plot and developing the main characters.
Victor is supposed to be one of the two protagonists, yet we know close to nothing about him, and there's only 3 episodes left.

I am straight (as if it matters one way or the other-love is love in my opinion) and I have been like that with my boyfriend before. Plus you guys have to remember that Yuri has had one of the longest days ever without any of his emotional support people. None of the skaters there are his friends, his family is all back in Japan, and now even Victor is gone. His Free skate decides whether or not he makes it to the finals since only six get to go. He finds out he gets to go and there is no one there to celebrate with him. That's why he hugs everyone. He is trying to express his happiness at making it and no one's reaction is satisfying. He has all this emotion and no where to put it. It's like getting the best news ever and having no one to share it with.

I thought the airport scene was lovely. I wish someone believed in me the way Victor believes in Yuri and that someone adored me as much as Yuri adores Victor.
