| Reminds me that Nereid Regulus is the only optional boss of Tales that I haven't beaten in a difficulty harder than normal. Shits crazy. And his competitors from the other Tales games are fucking harder than dicks makes it all the more impressive. The way it tried the whole bait and switch thing was really transparent though since it starts by introducing a happy go-lucky orphanage that's seperated from the rest of the world. A recipe for some really fucked up shit to happen (see: Monster, Seraph of the End, Kiznaiver, Zankyou no Terror or Death Note for reference). Try and imagine where something could go from there. And as I said, I only found it edgy by Jump standards. Nothing like Dead Tube or Mahou Shoujo of the End if that's what you want. I also need to read more before I'm ready to pass judgement. |
