| Hmmm.....that was a very brash way to introduce that awakening. The kid really had a shirt with Bartholomew Kuma on it too. What store would sell such a thing? | Felt pretty dragged out at some points. This one chapter per episode pacing is painful. Cool to see Doffy's awakened abilities. Waiting for the day Luffy does something similar. Liked King Riku's speech. Hoping for more action next episode. |

| next week will be the 100th Episode of the Dressrosa arc! In the manga the arc is 102 chapters long, the 1 chapter per episode rule is dead lol. I really expected this episode to end with the but it looks like that will end next weeks episode after a whole lot of filler fighting. I dunno how thur gonna do it but this arc will probably last at least another 20 episodes. |

| for me this is the arc i liked least, dont get me wrong it had great moments, gear 4, Corazon and all that stuff but i think the gyojin arc and PH had a better development and more steady. I was so hyped for this arc with doflamingo and future battles but the pace and animation hass killed it for me. |

It's the pacing that's been terrible. But that Bartholomew Kuma T-shirt, lol. And I thought it was simply a "bear" design print on the shirt. Shichibukai T-shirts! Now I should go find a Boa Hancock T-shirt and buy one for me. :P |
| People forget that the manga version was dragged out too. There was a full chapter of just zoro and the group just pushing the birdcage. it's not just toei. This episode was boring, nothing much happened except for the DF awakening part. |

Pacing is poor in the manga but Toei makes the pacing a lot worse. |

| Well I think the best way to solve the pacing issue is to put the anime on hiatus for perhaps a full year maybe two for that matter. That way they should be able to start adapting with a decent pace with maybe a 1.5-2 chapter coverage per episode. I think Toei should have done this back before the time-skip, Right after 3D2Y. An actual 2 year break for the anime XD. I actually liked this episode even though the fight progression wasn't much. King Riku's speech was really well done, He was able enkindle hope into the distraught people of Dressrosa in the midst of decimation. Something that needs a lot of respect and most of all an innate ability to lead. The mark of a real King. Nice to see the StrawHats gain recognition for their deeds. That grandma XD Doffy's awakening was awesome, Looking forward to the fight next episode. |

| A somewhat slow episode. I expected awakening to be something more. Doflamingo already pulling out strings out of thin air, more strings converted from buildings didn't have as much impact imo. |

| Started out pretty awesome with some fighting parts and some Zoro/Franky scenes. But like last episode half of it was people running away. But I have to say, fucking Rikku's speech made me cry lol. |
| Doffy's awakening was really underwhelming. I still haven't decided if 4th Gear is awesome or retarded. Loved Riku's speech, though. I was annoyed with yet more scenes of people running and buildings falling, but at least it had an emotional impact and a point this time. |

I give it another 8 or 10 episodes to conclude the final battle and leading to the many setup episodes leading the next arc. xD NOTE1: The animation of Gear 4 was great, but the episodes were drawn out too long, actually they should've included more chapters to get us to the setup episodes leading to next arc xD sooner rather than later. Not an unexpected response but let me get to my grand master plan of including an extra chapter by removing those fluff from the opening, it's entirely plausible that it would work. Plan B, you removed fluff at the opening then on the back-end after the brief preview, you include new mini comical skit of chibi OP pirates, I forgot the Japanese term for it, but I think you know what I mean. I have a plan C but that's not needed if plan A and B succeed. (Think they call that comic short at the end of an anime "omake", but I'm not certain.) Plan A wouldn't suceed because it would lead to fillers, and Toei obviously doesn't want fillers. Plan B is also not worth it, because making skits takes time and money, so it's a much better option for them to just insert the same shit every episode. |
