| While I stand by my earlier statement, I will point out that the only time I would ever send a "random" friend request, it would be to someone I've had some form of exchange with on the forums. I don't just pull a lottery and say "This guy's gettin' a friend req today." |
| Well there is no special list they can see but there is a friends only privacy setting for blog posts. That's a good reason if someone wanted to not accept random friend requests. I accept all of mine, I have no reason to refuse. Sometimes they even start up a conversation. |

| No, I don't see the meaning in having people in my friend list that I don't talk to. The friends I have are people that I know in real life, from forums or those that actually make the effort to start a conversation with me before sending a request. |

| I don't get them often, but when I do, I deny them. The word "friend" is misused on so many sites, it just irks me. A friend is someone you care about. You don't have to talk 24h 7 days a week, but someone you don't even know/never exchanged a single word with isn't a friend, thus isn't worth being on the FRIEND list. And if all the sites just HAVE to use the word 'friend' for the list, no one should wonder when I take it literally and only add friends on it, people I care about and talk to and enjoy it. Of course everyone is free to do it their own way though. I'm not bothered by random friend requests anymore either. I once was. But I realized it's no biggie to just click on deny and that's it. ... Doesn't change the fact that I despise facebook for their friend collector trend, ugh.. |

| everyone on my list right now is from the forums, whether they sent me a request or i sent it to them if i get a friend request from someone i've never seen around (or maybe they've made one or two posts i've seen but that's it), i'll accept the request, but will probably delete them later sure, a random person could send me a request, then talk to me a lot after i accept it... and i wouldn't delete them but it doesn't tend to happen, i think some people are just trying to get long friend lists, forget the request was sent, or want me to message them first even though i don't know them |
