What would you do if your anime/manga list got erased?

I'd like to say I could just rebuild it, but my memory isn't the best. My current list is missing a lot of anime that I just can't recall the names of. That's why I signed up here in the first place.

Probably wouldn't care.... I don't really update my list and I don't really care about updating it. Just too much of a hassle. Even the ones that I have added on my list are barely a fraction of what I've watched.

Yes, saved as .html and now if I got banned (likely) or someone hacked the forum (likely) I can just re-input the list or make another one from scratch. Seems like a good idea.

...until MAL uses NSA-like methods to look for similar anime preferences. I wonder how our information is profitable on here? It's almost like corporate tagging...

I have imported it to 3 sites at least, also I have exported xml less than month ago, and I have older one on another PC. I've been using this copy-book looong before I started using MAL and I still update it from time to time. There's also MALGrapgh as people suggested already. Oh and yeah, I also keep most of the folders on my PC where anime was, even if they are empty. And I have some screenshots (duplicated on both PC), not to mention torrent files etc.. And even if I lost somehow all of this, I still would be able to remember most of the anime titles I watched, except hentai ones. So I probably don't have anything to be afraid of :D

My list can indicate to you just how seriously I take anime.

Every night at 12:00 AM, I work on editing it to at least 1:00 AM (particularly the descriptions that are placeholders with other people's writings). Every once in a while, I also do a complete overhaul of the lists design that takes away my sleep.

So yes. The list means a lot to me, and losing it would be a critical blow to my health.
