| Great episode. Hopefully this keeps up this way. I'm still really hoping this lasts three seasons again. It's just going to start getting good by the time this season ends :( If that doesn't make it, I'm demanding a spinoff for Aoki the Underdog Hunter. The animation also seemed better. Maybe I'm just crazy. |

| I expected a fight this episode, so I'm a little disappointed, thought it is my fault for not thinking they would milk the weigh in and pre-fight for everything it was worth. I still laugh everytime I see Geromichi's face, and the little sappy stuff they tried to do failed since it seemed quite obvious to me. Whatever, they couldn't be bothered to give him a different gym, so I doubt this fight is going to surprise me. |
| Man, I was really hoping that Ippo and Geromichi/Nao would fight this episode. This episode was still awesome though. I'm looking forward to next week even more. |

| Hmmm, the last two episodes are more interesting and better directed than the first 8. The second season is finally starting and they're beginning to master the light effects and the new animation style now. To come back to the episode, Yamada-kun will get destroyed, and I'm sure it will be painful to watch, he's even scared of it before the match, which is not a good sign... |

| So no fight this episode but just a hype up for the match seems Nao's attitude was indeed just a mask but I felt they didn't really evoke any emotion because of it ... =/ the match should be interesting though. |
| I kind of didn't like this episode because of the pandering. I kept pausing the episode because it was so emotion heavy. Nao needs to buck up and stop being such an Ippo. Even if he doesn't stand a chance, he needs to at least try. And why bother boxing if you're not planning to do anything great? Still, this is one of the greatest shows ever. |

| at first i thought that ippo won't use his full power against Geromichi and that was bothering but now i expecting a good fight and it's obvious that ippo will win but i wounder how :/ and thump up for the Frog Punch the pace is fast but that can't be helped because it's a short anime, i hate the fast pace anyway even it's a long anime |

| This episode felt like a traditional S1 Hajime no Ippo episode, it had all the tension building up towards the fight, and it's a fight with Ippo this time, been quite a while since we've seen that. Plus, it's with Yamada a.k.a Hammer Nao, so I'm pumped to see how this fight will go. |

Nice to see that it's mostly a front and that his soft spot is still there. Really enjoying this series, pretty much on par with the first season except that it has a slightly different feel to it, but the baseline feeling is still completely intact. |

| The backstory still doesn't seem like enough for him to change his personality so drastically within two years, but I feel like this episode set up the match well. I'm excited to see Ippo kick some ass! |
| Ehh, still not really that hyped for this fight. It's just that this is a guy Ippo should theoretically fucking destroy effortlessly. If he struggles at all it'll be due to stupid bullshit, so it's basically impossible for me to look forward to this |

| So looks like Geromichi is still fragile as I thought he would be and it is a pose he has adopted. In fact, he looks to be quite scared at Ippo, the match will prob end pretty fast. Looking at his looks I'm guessing he was bullied and beaten hardly again (his left ear is even pierced) when he left the Kamogawa guys and installed in the new place. That's why probably he is how he's now on surface. I think I would have prefered him to stay a "prick" during this match and not to show his soft side yet. Can't wait to see how this fight unfolds. |

| As much as he changed on the outside, it looks like Nao still has immense respect for Ippo to the point of centering his whole career around getting to fight him. I wish that they'd be able to share a moment with each other post-match for old time's sake. |
