| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Intense match is intense :3  Shinobu :3. She's sweating though. That's kinda unusual but I guess it can't be helped against someone as formidable as Arata. Holy shit, QUEEN LOST. Okay, I'm not too shocked but wow, this episode and match was intense! 5/5/5/5. Not sure what Chihaya is going to do next. Maybe a match against Arata in the final? Idk but hoping so. |

| I was surprised to see Tsukuba in the final,he even got more screen time than Desktomu. The whole "you have a fever" thing kind of ruined a bit... it kind of says that Arata only won because of that. |

one more week... one more week I hope Im not the only one, but is there anyone else that gets really into these matches and just screams when they all scream, and celebrate when they all celebrate ? When Arata won I started screaming in my room and felt like celebrating and throwing confetti.. And Arata and Shinobu, go ahead and be otp! ; u ; I dont care! as long as Chihaya and Arata can be otp T u T ohh when he wiped her tears with his shirt ; - ; I know we have one more week left but.... It still hurts even know knowing this show is coming to an end Q___Q... |

| A little expression on my feelings ; u ; I....I thought I would be fine... I know I still have one week to go... but it really all of a sudden hit me just last night that Chihayafuru is almost over... and seriously.. it hit me just randomly and I just started sobbing in my room like a loser.. Q___Q I used to have the upmost confidence and tell myself " there WILL be a 3rd season"... and I was in denial....but recently I've faced reality and really just told myself "how often do animes get 3 seasons now a days? I cant name any anime that has had one for years." So now, unfortunately the idea of the 3rd season has no hope for me anymore, but its just more like a wish, and a dream in my heart ; - ;. The only reason I lost the confidence is b/c I don't want to feel hurt after waiting and just not getting it.. you know? So in the end I just dream.. BUT THEN, weird and psycho for me to feel this way, but I feel if I lose hope.. its not going to happen... XDD confusing I know ; _; So in the end, its sad, but I really faced reality and came to a conclusion that most likely next week will be the end V__V, theres going to be an OVA I know, but its not like thats going to change anything... you know... I feel Im fine with any anime ending, as long as its the perfect ending with no potholes... you know? ;__ ; We dont know if Chihaya will be Queen, who dont know who she will end up with? ; __ ;? I feel though, if they slipped a "Taichi, I love you" from Chihaya and a "I love you too" from Taichi //hugsss in the last episode, I maaaaybe be fine with it ending xD (im sorry for being a hopeless romantic loser spaz) There's always the manga, but it just doesnt feel the same. I love hearing their voices, the beautiful inspiring osts in the background that completely fit the scene and make everything feel better. I just know when it ends... its really going to hurt ... really bad.... but hopefully.... I'll get over it one day Q__Q Its really sad how now a days animes have been made not to tell a story, but just promote the manga. I miss the days when animes could just tell a story and give us a opening and conclusion and a full experience. Its sad to really see that no matter where Chihayafuru ends, it WILL promote the manga big time because in the end, we never saw Chihaya beat Shinobu, or her be Queen, or her and Shinobu be friends, or who Chihaya will end up with, or see them all go to college etc. So people and the readers in japan will/should want to know what happens next in the manga So in the end they completed their mission to promote the manga in a perfect way Q___Q.. It just hurts.......knowing thats the truth Q__Q but theres always room for possibilities.. who knows.... I pray to god... I can just one day wake up, and go on the news forum on myanimelist and see the news of "Chihayafuru gets a Season 3" ... |

| That was sooo good!!! >_< Tense as it can get. I knew Arata will win but i actually felt bad for Shinobu T-T She really tried her best. But Arata is just a monster. He totally deserved the win. Loved Chihaya's reactions. And ofcourse Arata's smiles XD Lol'd at how they really pissed Shinobu off XD Finally the anime has reached the manga...so I can read now :) |

| Taichi protects Chihaya ... Arata wins and made Shinobu smile. I can try imagining the next episode. So many things to finish up. Arata is going to Tokyo now right? Wondering wherel he plans on going. |

| lol @ Chihaya's realization that Taichi being the enemy. lol~ Miyu-Miyu's character, good job for staying final! lol @ Nikuman's description to Arata as that Do-S like that eye closing guy and his parents. Wow, young Arata. Really intense one with Arata winning! Cannot wait for final ep. |

| ^I'm going with creepy with a side of heartwarming, because now she has something to work towards after being on the top and unbeatable for so long. I really didn't think Arata would win, especially when it was 7-4 and Shinobu took 4 in a row, then Arata takes his last? Unless Arata took a few of those, well either way, they skipped some cards there unexpectedly. And it sucks that it takes away from Arata's well earned victory, but Shinobu having a fever is a pretty big factor. Being able to keep her poise is huge for her, because when she's absolutely serious she's damn near invincible. She was still serious, but the fever caused more of a panicked seriousness rather than a poised one. Not to mention it surely affected her reaction time. I like how since it was like ten episodes ago we never would have considered she'd be sick lol Last episode should be very interesting, hopefully they drop some hints that might suggest plans for an eventual 3rd season. I just can't see em wanting to end it here. |

| Arata did it! I wonder how well it would have played out if Shinobu was in full form without the fever. Next episode is the last of season 2, which will undoubtedly leave room for a possible third, because I want to know when Chihaya will be back in the game once her hand heals, and if she will ever play Arata again. One top of that, Will Arata ever make it all the way and possibly beat the the unbeatable Suo? Not to mention the secondary theme of romance after sportsmanship with all the main characters practically in a love-web. Almost forgot to mention, with Arata's win, and bet with his parents: college in Tokyo! Now closer than ever to his Tokyo friends in years since they were kids. |

| MY GOD. I love it so MUCH! It's painful that the episode end so fast! That fever moment ruined it a little bit for me, but at least they're like best friends and rival at the same time. I don't think Chihaya was jealous at all. Does she even know love and jealousy? She only have eyes for Karuta. lol (Poor Taichi ;~;) She just wants to be stronger and faster but I still love her. :D For now, I'm still supporting my pairing ArataxShinobu and TaichixChihaya. 3rd season, please be part of the fall or winter! ;__; |
| I am glad Arata won. And he is really good. I like his style and his calm demeanour while playing. However, upon learning that the Queen is sick, I was, "WHAT?!?!?!"... tsk tsk. This needs a rematch!! Season 3 pls! Oh! I almost forget Arata's parents.. they are so hilarious.. |

| It looks like Chihaya was number two in this week's comic ranking and is clearly breaking out of the josei demographic so I think a third season is likely: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-06-21/japanese-comic-ranking-june-9-15 It seems like sales of the source material are also becoming a factor in determining renewal of series which helps even if Blueray sales are sluggish. As for the episode, it was everything that I'd hoped for and more. I loved the Taichi/Chihaya and Arata/Shinobu moments as I'm shipping hard both pairings. |

| Wow, the match was amazing, and yet I ended up thinking, boy would I love to see Chihaya and Taichi going up against each other outside a practice match again. :O So you all know my stronger slant. But I loved more of that flashback in Arata, such devotion! |

Also, people saying Shinobu would have won without the fever, I'm still thinking no because Shinobu herself didn't realize she had a fever so it couldn't have been that bad. Plus they get so warm and sweaty when playing it's basically the same as a fever. |
| Whoa, Arata... won! That was awesome, though I honestly wasn't expecting them to pull that, since Shinobu has been portrayed as so overpowered throughout the series up till now. I love how they can make every single swing feel intense and just incredible to watch, especially in matches like this between two very strong players. Haha, I just love Arata's calm expressions in contrast to Shinobu's intense faces, by the way. I wasn't expecting to have the match finished in this episode though. So now that we have the class A finals out of the way, I'm really wondering how the final episode is going to turn out. I initially predicted that they'd switch between showing the class A, C, and D finals in the last two episodes so that we'd end with the conclusion of the Shinobu/Arata match, but I guess we're left now with Desktomu and Tsukuba's matches (which I don't foresee them showing a lot of anyways). I'm really curious about what's going to be covered in the conclusion now. Season 3, please! |

| I have to say I didn't like the implication that the queen only lost because she had a fever, but it was a great episode otherwise, very intense. They're both quite scary! Chihaya has a long way to go before she could compete on that level. Love this series, I hope they have another season! |

| Lots of great and intense moments in this ep, love it. ^^ Still rooting for Taichi x Chihaya and maybe Arata x Shinobu <3 Hope there's good news for the other members. Not to mention I'm torn between wanting to see the next ep or hope it will be delayed because I really don't want it to end =( |

| This is probably the best match this season (at least for me) Queen vs Future King(?) of Karuta. It's intense and of course it surprised the spectators because the Queen lost for the first time. Chihaya looks jealous probably because she wants to be stronger or to play with those two opponents. Tsukuba's in the finals! LOL. Good Luck Tsukuba! Make you brothers proud. I'm shipping Chihaya x Taichi and Shinobu x Arata Season 3 please! :) |
