| According to promotional posters distributed to bookstores, the manga "Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio" will have a TV anime adaptation. Studio and staff information is as follows: Studio: Sanzigen (009 Re:Cyborg, Black Rock Shooter) Director: Kishi Seiji (Angel Beats, Persona 4, Dangan Ronpa, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita) Series Composition: Uezu Makoto (Devil Survivor 2, Dangan Ronpa, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, Seikon no Qweaser) Music: Kouda Masato (Monster Hunter series) Schedule and cast information is not available yet. Six volumes of the manga have been published so far. The 7th volume will soon be released on May 30th. The official website aokihagane.jp will also open the same day. It's kinda like Uchuu senkan Yamato 2199 but with a younger cast and its on earth not space. Humanties last hope relies on the voyage of a special ship and they are attacked by "aliens" known as the fog, its a pretty good tactical ship warfare manga. |

| Even though this is fabulous news, I am a little anxious because the source material is no where near a conclusion. Sure there are some natural points in the story where an anime series could be ended without jarring the viewer too much all the while keeping the door open for sequel, I fear anime original material may run this series to the ground. I'd say 75% of the mysteries in the stories are no where near being solved or revealed yet. |
