| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So this episode was all about getting Judai back to normal. Asuka throwing a fit and then Judai remembering the good times they had together, kind of like a couple. I had seen her liking him from the beginning. I always thought that she was one year ahead of him, since she was in the Blue dorm from the beginning. |

| I knew she was into Judai, how come she couldn't tell him? pastdestiny said: Because Ryo was friends with Fubuki (Asuka's brother) and they were looking for him together.I'd have to say this was one of the best episodes of the series so far...atleast in terms of character development. I actually thought the same about Asuka too...but they said you can start out as blue if you go to their middle school (like Manjoume). But it was weird how she knew Ryou and the others seniors at the start. |

| Nice episode. Judai's even more back to normal. It's nice to see him smiling and having fun like that again. It's sad to think that they'll all be graduating and parting ways... |

| Feels really good to have some light heartedness in this series again. After so much serious drama you miss the ordinary life with the duels for fun. But great that Judai enjoyed himself, it's been a while as well. Was also pretty amusing to see Asuka getting so worked up that he didn't play with "her cards" hehe. The parts where she went through the pictures during the last episode and the end of this one got me pretty emotional. And btw, too lolworthy Asuka was the one that brought Judai to his dorm xD |

| Rei they've done you so wrong girl, those moments with Judai were adorable. He's always been softer when it concerns her and it's kind of bittersweet because he sees his old fun-focused self in her. HOWEVER. I hate that the only screen time the girls get is when it's attached to a guy. What is "normal?" Yes it's been too long since we've seen Judai smile. The old oblivious facade of his was far from normal though. He's trying to find it. A balance between the depression, the trauma and the part of him that doesn't want to care about anything else but having fun in a duel. I like the direction we're going in bc this development is so good. |

| This episode was kinda bad compared to the previous one imo. While Judai realized that Asuka had a point and they beat Rei and Kenzan using their combined skills, it seemed like a huge emotional tease at the end of the day since despite all that romantic tension in this two-parter and the series in general, absolutely nothing happened between Judai and Asuka. It feels almost as bad as Yusei and Aki not going out in 5D's despite them being teased as soulmates for many years. |
| The JP version really puts Judai's mentality into perspective. He started the show playing Duel Monsters for fun, but after all the life and death scenarios he's gone through, he can't help but play every match without mercy. |
