I often check the user recommendations section at the bottom of my favourite animes pages and try to give everything there a go. I've had a pretty decent success rate with it.

Find the anime that I've seen that I liked and check their genres. Then find anime in those genres.

I'm a person who typically judges a book by its cover so yeah. But there are some circumstances like a series which it got too much hype(For instance, SAO and LB), there are some attractive girls on that series, etc.

Why would you buy bootleg DVD's?

I flip a coin and pick randomly.
I put whatever remotely interests me when browsing MAL on my PTW list and use a RNG to pick what I watch for me.
Exceptions are when friends with taste similar to mine recommend me stuff, and seasonal titles, which I pick whatever interests me from the charts.

And what do you think is most efficient?

Since i have been running a bit low on anime, I've decided to go through the entire list on animehere.com from newest to oldest, and then give every good-looking anime a try.

It'll might not be the most efficient way, but i rarely find others recommendations very good :/?

I usually find new episodes by researching anime of similar genre.I love harem anime so I will read the harem anime titles on MAL,Wikipedia or just scroll the pages of a download site and sees what peeks my interest. I will also look at other anime genres.

Go through the Fantasy/supernatural genre or the Comedy genre and try whatever looks interesting enough.

For the other genres, I just stumble upon them or have a friend suggest them to me.

Well usually I'm busy just watching the current airing season, but when i have more free time i either choose one that has an interesting name, one that is often talked about, or one that has a good resumé.

I usually just look at a bunch of random shits on streaming sites, pick whatever I think I might like and go from there. Sometimes this ends up well and usually I get shit, but I also like to look at peoples dropped lists and watch shows others think are bad, because I usually like them :/

I tend to take a look at the "Top Anime" list on this website, then I do a lot of research(while carefully making sure that I don't read spoilers) about the anime to make sure that I don't waste my time watching an anime that I won't enjoy.

Hence why I haven't watched any anime that I haven't enjoyed yet, so my entire list is basically rated with 7's and above.

Look at anime openings on youtube and see if it looks interesting. An opening 7/10 times can tell a lot about the anime.

What are you going to do when you run out of anime you enjoy?
Most of the rest of the stuff will probably be average~bad.

I try to treat anime in the same way I treat any other art medium.

If I like something I go figure out who made it and then I find more stuff made by that person.

If I don't feel like watching something in my "priorities" list then I do a genre search for whatever I feel like at the time and then surf through the results by ranking until I find something that interests me. And if it also happens to be on my PTW/PTR, then that'll solidify my choice to pick it up.

I look around on Hulu for stuff that seems interesting and then I check over here to see what score they got, usually choosing the one with the highest. When I run out of stuff like that then I just start looking at the recommendations for anime I've already seen and enjoyed on this site.

With my PTW being so huge I usually just write down the anime that interest me the most in a txt file. Usually have 50 of so titles in that list, ranging from every genre to brand new stuff to the old classics going all the way back to the late 60s. I think my system works perfectly for me. Also use the Old School Club and of course these forums to fish for new anime. Of course I plan to watch almost everything on the PTW at some point.

I look up "best of" lists to get started D; (Best of 2011, 2012) Then I use that as a springboard with related anime on MAL. I'll also look at subgroup's webpages to see what they're doing/what they've done in the past, especially Deadfish because they specialize in MP4 format anime. Can't watch .mkv on my tablet computer at the gym which is the only place I watch anime >_>

Easiest way would probably be to follow the seasons (lol).

Also look at recommendations of Animes I just completed or have liked. It usually leads to about 3 or 4 other animes I haven't seen and from then on it is a whole chain reaction of a never ending cycle. :3

Usually, I search it at the recommendations section or by using filters for my search. Sometimes I would find a new anime by "accident" (i.e. youtube comments, blogs, articles, forums etc.). If nothing really works, I just randomly click a link from a list of anime, watch the first episode, then decide if I will continue watching it or not, with this method I found out about Senjou no Valkyria and Last Exile - cool stuff.
