I was thinking of getting a tattoo, my question is that is it weird or not to have it anime related.  I've talked to people about it in RL: Those who aren't fans of anime say that's a bit lame Those who have tattoos suggest getting something meaningful (its not like naruto or the character sasuke is my favorite, I just like the design is all) _________________________________________ What's your thoughts? Suggestions of tattoo designs are much appreciated! |

| If it's something that people will not recognize as anime then it's cool, like a symbol. But an anime character's face on your back or something like that would be weird. There are plenty of cool anime symbols that I think would actually look cool as a tattoo. Like the Ouroboros from FMA or the sacrafice brand from Berserk. |

| No weirder than religious tattoos. I wouldn't get the logo of a show or something like that, but if it is a design you like, and you know it from a show, then that's fine. People pick tattoos like that out of tattoo shop sample books all the time. You just found it somewhere else. |

| It really just comes down to if you would be proud of it or not. You wouldn't want something you'd be uncomfortable with on your skin for everyone to see. If you would be cool explaining where the design is from, why you got it etc, and don't care, I say go for it. If not, don't get it done. |

| It's true what they say, if you're gonna get something make sure it's something meaningful. Regardless if its anime-related or not. Just make sure it won't be something you will regret, you know 'cause people do change or you could just get bored of how it looks. I have tattoos and one of 'em has a part of the Fruit's Baskets opening lyrics. But I got that because I find it meaningful related to my life and what not. As far as me getting an actual design or anime art on my skin, I wouldn't do it. I honestly find it lame. I love anime but no...I like/love lots of things but that doesn't mean I'ma ink it on me :P But that's just me, a lot of other people would think different, everyone has their different perspectives on everything. So just do what YOU like just be sure of it. There are always gonna be people out there who don't share the same ideas as you :P |
| I think its pretty cool, i can't pull off a tattoo but if i could i would. Alot of people have tattoos of weird things, i live in the south i see it all the time, so having one of anime is no different in my view. I know a guy who has a "Bleach" and a "Zelda" tattoo and it looks awesome on him, fuckin sweet if you ask me. Also just want to add this sweet-ass tattoo: |

| When I was like 16, maybe. I was really into the Wheel of time series by Robert Jordan. I was thinking about a tattoo and was really sure. He, if I had it now I guess I would regret it. Sure it would not be that bad but still, I could not care less about the wheel of time now. If I were to get something now I would get it for looks only or for that it is a symbol for who I am before/now and in the future. Some like to tattoo turning points in life and such, but I am not that sentimental so. I would suggest you to give it a few years, if you still like it, sure go do it. |

| I think it's a bad idea to get a tattoo of any current trend... like an anime series that nobody will remember or care about in 20 years. As your tastes change you will grow to regret it. If you're going to get a tattoo it should be something of your own design. |
