THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This ending hardly felt like an ending at all. So many things were left unanswered and I really thought Shion was going to have a more important role in this series, but she hardly got ay screen time compared to everyone else. That was a bit unexpected. |

I agree, I think too much was left unanswered. And yeah Shion didn't get enough air time. She was barely mentioned after the episode where Mizuho saves her. I was a little disappointed about that. I enjoyed the show a good amount but it didn't live up to what I was expecting. I think I was expecting more drama. |

Wow... no-one freaked out seeing Ichiko roam and float about, or did they not see her? If that was the case, it must've been weird seeing Mizuho dance ballroom by himself XD Anyways, it would've been good enough of a fanservice to at least show Mizuho have his hair cut and wear boy's clothes and act like a boy! That, if he'll ever recover >.< And graduating from an all-girls school... he's gonna have a loooong way before he could find a job... but since he's rich he prolly won't need to go through such hassle XD I still find his family weird especially his mom and grandpa. 6/10. |

was disappointing... I thought this would be more strawberry eggs (which I liked more). The main character already looked like a girl and didn't need any make up. There wasn't too much development either. 6/10 |

The ending was okay.. Though I kinda got irritated when they cut Takako and Mizuho's dance.. I wanted to complete the scene with the confession and everything lol.. Overall it's a good watch.. Rated it 7/10 but I'll rewatch it soon after, maybe I'll reconsider the score ang give it an 8. |

An okay ending. I still don't understand what the point of Mizuho being a boy was in this anime. It'd be practically the same anime if he was a girl. Overall, it was an okay anime. Funny and cute at times. 6/10 |

Not the ending I had envisioned. I had hoped that Mizuho walk into the dance wearing the school dress then as all eyes were on him rip his clothes away much like the pool scene and be wearing a tux, there by revealing that he was indeed a Man and there would be a silence then the girls would fall in love with Mizuho allover again. Then the teachers would remark to each other"Do you think Mizuho will be forced to leave?" "no,I don't think the girls will allow it" |

It had a silly setup, a slow start, but the last 4 episodes were great. I hated how they cut the dance, damn. I would have liked a bit more of a closure for the Mizuho x Takako relationship. Unsatisfying ending =( |

I really enjoyed this show but found that it fell short in a couple areas. First of all, Mizuho was never compelling as a guy cross dressing as a girl. He looked, sounded and acted so feminine that the fact that he was actually male seemed more like a trivial side note than anything relevant to the story. Some of the characters and themes that they introduced earlier on in the story never got fleshed out. Shion, who was introduced early on in the story as if she was going to be an important character, is reduced to being "that pretty girl that's always with Mizuho". Another thing that deserved more focus was the idea that he was asked to attend the school so that he could learn more about his mother. After the strange ghost portion of the story (touching as it was) it was completely forgotten. Finally I was dissatisfied with the ambiguous ending. I know these types of endings are common in anime but it's still frustrating to invest yourself in the story and characters only to have their fates trail off into obscurity. This might be easier to deal with if there was a sequel for this show, however the announced sequel is a completely different story. More like a reboot than a continuation. I'll certainly watch it when it airs in the hopes that it will resolve some of the unanswered questions from the first season. Despite my complaints I still enjoyed the story and would recommend this show. |

Jay_Ox, you raised some very good points which I'd second. The thing that annoyed me most was definitely that the show somehow forgot its own premise. There was barely any conflict with Mizuho being a boy, I sometimes forgot it myself! WHAT was the point of that? Then, even though I understand that it was kind of slice of life, many of the "problems" the girls had were just ridiculous. A ribbon that's too big? Give me a break. Other things just seemed superfluous, either because they were never fleshed out in the end (Characters s.a. Kana and Yukari, especially Shion and her illness) or because they were just downright irrelevant (Ichiko being a ghost). The only character I could take seriously most of the time was Mariya, because there actually was a real conflict going on. Apart from that...Takako was great at the beginning and then turned into a love-sick highschool girl. Mizuho was just the caring, beloved Oneesama and hardly anything else. The end barely wrapped up all the loose threads either. I loved the OP though, and the ED was quite fine as well. In the end, I'd give it a 6.5 which would appear in the ratings of MAL as 6/10. |

Out of boredom I started to watch this show. I wasn't expecting anything and to my own surprise I really enjoyed it. First of all the male lead was really likeable and not the typical dense idiot you normally see in these kind of animes. The school didn't turn into a big harem for the guy, but the directors decided to develop the feelings of only two girls, which is a plus in my book. But still they wasted a lot of potential and left many unanswered questions. After episode 12 this show could easily go on for another 12 epsiodes. |

I've been wondering, in the end when the headmistress and the homeroom teacher were talking about how they didn't need to worry about Mizuho, was the headmistress speaking to the teacher when she said "Sachiho-san"? Because if this is true, or rather, whether it's true or not, if one misunderstands things easily like me then they'll think that the teacher is actually Mizuho's mom. You guys get where I'm going with this? I'm just looking for some confirmation here. |

i was hoping to see a mizuhoxmariya ending D: of course i didn't get it, and like always these sort of animes end ambiguously v.v. For what it's worth i dont regret it, and enjoyed it to some degree although i am wondering what happened to the cleavage mizuho had in the swimsuit episode. it was non existant at the end of it all. Oh well i'll just get my full satisfaction when mangagamer releases the visual novel in english come this november. |

ive played the vn and if anyone wants to know how takako's route ends here it is they dont dance in the vn cause mizuho was too busy dancing with anyone who didnt have a partner but it doesnt end at the dance it goes on to graduation. sometime in between takako asks mizuho to assist with some student council work. he accepts and takako starts realize what kind of feelings she has for mizuho. one day while walking to her dorm by herself she gets attacked by 3 or 4 men then mizuho saves takako but is revealed to her that he is a man, takako then faints and mizuho carries her to his room since it was closer. then mizuho tells takako everything and she understands accepts him. later she confesses and he tells her he feels the same. as they continue to go out takako starts to get jealous of mizuho spending time with other women (its an all girls school what she expect?) and realizes she is becoming like her mother. she confesses to mizuho that her father is a very cold person to her, her mother, and her brother, and her brother is just as cold. her father has also been caught several times with other women because her mother always send private investigators to spy on him. mizuho then decides she doesnt want to be part of her family anymore and wants to be only with mizuho. after they graduate they go to the same university and live in the same place together. then it ends. i really liked takako in both versions. at first you think shes gonna be the biggest bitch in the game but thats not the case. she just loves seio so much. |

i just finished shion's path which was definitely the longest out of the 4 ive played. if anyone wants to know how hers ends here it is. ill start at the dance. when its time for the last dance shion asks mizuho if he would dance with her, he accepts. but shion collapses after asking and is taken to the hospital. she stays in the hospital till winter break is over. after coming back mizuho realizes that shion has been going to the roof frequently and he does the same. one day he catches shion throw a key off the roof. mizuho acts like he didnt see anything and walks up to shion as if he just arrived. shion then starts talking as if soon she may never see mizuho again which makes mizuho worried but he doesnt press the subject any further. he instead thanks her for keeping his identity a secret and is glad she knew. they then leave. later that night mizuho goes to where shion threw the key and finds it although he doesnt know where it goes all he knows it has a number 3 on it. one day mizuho comes to class and realizes shion isnt early like she usually is. homeroom then starts and miss hisako announces that shion has collapsed again and will not be attending school for a while. after class mizuho talks with hisako and learns what exactly is wrong with shion. turns out shion has an enlarged lung and must have surgery but shion is refusing it. misako then wants mizuho to give shion some papers. so mizuho goes and sees her after that he sees her as much as he can. mizuho then visits her as much as he can until shion confesses that seeing him brings her pain cause it reminds her of all the fun time shes had and how shell never have more like them. shion starts crying and says "Don't..." but doesnt finish her sentence but mizuho knew she wanted to say "Don't come here anymore." after a few days mizuho goes to the school roof and takako is there where she reveals she knows who mizuho really is. takako was on the roof at the time when shion threw the key and heard everything then did some investigating. takako then asks mizuho for help. turns out shion is engaged to takako's brother. shions family was very wealthy at one point but lost most of it then takakos family stepped in and saved them. shion feels that she must somehow make her family happy so she decides to marry takakos brother but shion herself isnt happy with this decision and takako also doesnt want shion to marry her brother because she know this. plus her brother, as ive said before, is a cold person. later mizuho goes back to the hospital. shion is shocked but then they reconcile. few days later shion starts getting depressed cause no one from school has come to see her mizuho tells her its just because she comes off as unapproachable because of how gorgeous she is in every way so people are timid. shion doesnt believe thats it so mizuho makes a bet with her, if he can prove that the students at sieon really care for her, mizuho can ask her to do anything he wants. that night mizuho informs kana, mariya, and yukari of whats going on. the next day mizuho informs michiko and kei if they would help. mizuho cant help cause she doesnt want people to go just because of her. after school they meet up in the chapel and head to the hospital. kana and mizuho enters the room. mizuho then brings up the bet and shion is a little sad that only kana came but mizuho then asks shion to look out her window where 100s of students are in the parking lot waving to her. shion is so happy she starts to cry. since shion lost the bet mizuho gets whatever she wants. she asks shion why she wont have the surgery then shion reveals its because shes afraid, mizuho then laughs and tells her about her mother and how she was afraid and died because of it. she doesnt want shion to do the same. so shion agrees to do the surgery. later mizuho is still wondering what the key went to and then mariya sees it and knows what it goes to. it goes to one of the lockers in the tea ceremony club. the next day after school they ask the club president if she would open the locker for them. she does then hands over what was in it. its the eraser mizuho exchanged with shion on her first day in class, never used. mizuho then realizes how shion feels about him so he runs to the hospital. but its too late. shions condition suddenly got worse over the night and shion never gave her consent to the doctors so they couldnt operate on her so shion died. just kidding. mizuho goes in the room and tells her he knows how she feels and tells her how he feels but she cant be with him cause she must marry takakos brother and it would upset her parents if she backed out. no only that but mizuho would face severe consequences if he took her away. he promises they wont her her parents and he doesnt care what happens to him so long as theyre together so he decides to make her his by taking her virginity. (dont worry shion was only hesitant about this cause she was scared but she really did want it.) few days later shion gets a visit from her mom, thats when she learns who mizuho really is. he is the heir to the miyanokouji family. her mother then tells shion that he came by the house and asked for permission to marry shion. her mother then tells her that her father never wanted shion to marry takakos brother (i dont remember if he ever is named and if he is i dont remember it.) and gave the okay to marry mizuho. later shion gets the surgery and is able to attend school again. mizuho and shion graduate together and then go off to colleg together. on their first day they run into takako who is also going to the same college. she tells them she has decided to leave her family and join mizuho's company.the end. |

Just finished the series. It's a good thing I expected the worst coz I wasn't disappointed with my expectations... not that great!! The ending felt incomplete. It seems like there could be further potential development in both characters and plot but they stopped the show when they had the chance, leaving no more room to fix unsolved conflicts. The main character, Mizuho is way too feminine (in appearance, mannerism, vocals)! He's a guy, shouldn't he have broad shoulders or something? Gawd, it seems like he's even more feminine than I am... or maybe I'm more boyish than him? lol! Anyway, he should remember he's a boy and not a girl. He should be happy to be surrounded by gorgeous girls, fighting over him, yet he shows no to very little reaction of interest. Come on!! Anyway, I rated this a 6/10. Its a good show to pass the time. Would've rated it higher if Mizuho was a tad manlier (in appearance or personality), and if he chose a girl in the end. |

When I first watched this series, I gave it a 8/10 because of the ambiguous/unsatisfying ending, but after re-watching it, I kinda of want to give it a 9/10. I have a lot more fun re-watching this than when I watched for the first time. I would love if they made a short OVA series to answer the open question and finish the series as it was supposed too. Takako x Mizuho all day every day. |

While this was really cute, I have mixed feelings about it. The manga had an actual ending which was nice, but in the manga, the ghost is gone and in the anime, she stays which is really nice because I really liked her. I feel like this would have been a lot better if they didn't leave the ending so...open ended like this. We never figured out who Mizuho liked in the anime, but we found how who liked him, which is nice and all, but...I don't know. I also hate that Shion didn't get more screen time especially since she was the first friend that Mizuho made and she felt like a really important character. |

Great anime, I was suprised how much I enjoyed it and the end was good too. I think they don't really need to make the MC a boy since there isn't that much of a difference lol She act totally like a girl! It wasn't too moe but cute and so elegant, it was a pleasant experience :) I think he is aiming for the harem route at the end lol 10/10 |

I am glad Mizuho never revealed his gender to the school and also making up with Takako. I felt even though it was supposed to be part romance, it didn't live up to it ( they shouldn't deceive us like that). I liked no I mean loved everything about this one, the characters were all impressive and the enjoyment was great. Even if the plot was a bit not there it still was fun to watch, weird but enjoyed it. I still don't have a clear reason why he had to trap but I didn't care as long as it was entertaining, the most important reason. So a weird 8/10 from me. |
