It has some renders too. Konachan.com includes dirty images but Konachan.net doesn't. best for: wallpapers, renders Also try http://yande.re/ which is the same as Konachan but focuses on high quality pics! Danbooru I think this is the best site to find a huge mix of HQ mostly Japanese fan art for free and going back many years. It also excels at Japanese-made renders, GIFs, and personal collections. best for: renders, wallpapers, scenery, avatars, profile images, animated GIFs Danbooru guide for clean searches and more Anime-Pictures Another site with great variety like Danbooru. Extremely good for finding scenery, renders, and gifs not found on another sites and in great quality. best for: scenery, animated GIFs, renders, wallpapers MG Renders (blogspot) Great quality and a wide variety of renders! Many nude and ecchi renders tho, be warned. Best for: renders Zerochan Really good for HQ images for your profile's About Me and your user pic! You may need to resize them down tho. Also there's some good wallpapers too and scenery for making your own. best for: profiles, avatars, wallpapers, scenery, humorous images Deviant art This site is hit and often miss because many low quality anime (or related) images are bundled with very good ones. Its best asset is HQ renders by non-Japanese tho, often ones not found elsewhere. best for: renders, wallpapers, realistic art Minitokyo Use this site for non-fan art. You'll find high quality scans which are ripped right from official art books and manga. These can make great huge wallpapers and even shrunk down to be avatars! best for: wallpapers (large) Bakarenders Probably the best overall render site online, it has game and real life renders in addition to anime ones! You have to register to actually be able to view and download them. best for: renders Renders Graphique Graphique is a Euro render site I've been using for a long time, another to try when you can't find the perfect render you're looking for. Can be a little annoying to work with (not because of language but that can be an issue as well). Click on renders to download them- you can't view the actual renders in your browser. Here's a new English version of the site to try too: http://www.renders-graphics.com/ best for: renders Giphy Nothing but animated GIFs, easy to find gifs for popular animes if you search for them! best for: animated GIFs Tumblr Mainly focused on animated GIFs and it has many you can't find on Danbooru. Good for a humorous profile or animated avatar! best for: animated GIFs 4-chan A mix of anime images but mainly humorous ones and memes which are great for profiles and avatars. Because its user submitted, its not realiable for a specific search but you can always make a thread here and people will share. best for: humorous images Pixiv An established site for early Japanese fan art that is likely to go viral and become popular on sites like Konachan or Danbooru eventually. It is good for images to use in your profiles and avatars, and occasionally some may be suitable for wallpapers. It will load multiple pages at once! Some searches have 50+ pages and this way you can view all the images at once, then open the ones you want to see in a new tab! To make your own sig what most ppl do is take wallpapers and other nice wide images and crop them down so they fit their forum's signature guidelines. You can also make your own and customize it with free graphic programs like Gimp, Photoshop CS2 and Cooltext.com For premade signature images you'd have to Google it and search around. I've never seen a image sharing site have pics that are made only for signatures since the size for sigs varies from forum to forum. |

(Japanese version of Deviant art?) There's also a daily ranking mode here Most likely this is the source for images/wallpapers uploaded to Konachan and maybe some other image sites |

| It might sound very basic and general-knowledge type of thing, but since Google images are there, I'd suggest these: Giphy; .gif site : I found a couple of interesting ones on it. Downfall : a lot of the gifs have bad tags (stuff like 'cool' - which are basically just tags to attract the most people searching random stuff and can be misleading), but still. imgur; Pioneer of all images and gifs, memes and whatnot. It is a must. Wallbase; Features a lot of wallpapers, huge database. |

| Another site that's good for images, although primary hentai and ecchi images is Gelbooru http://www.gelbooru.com Also, one note about Zerochan - while it's a good site for content, it's generally not a good idea to directly hotlink pics from there, as they normally fail. You'll need to download the image and rehost if you want to display on MAL. |

| hey shishio-kun, thought i'd mention the best wallpaper site i've ever found here for other users: Alpha Coders and type 'anime' in the search engine (or the anime you're searching for, but some are tagged as unknown so ye, that's why i said anime, also 'anime' has many subcategories which you can check out easier) this one has over 50k wallpapers of anime alone already, most of them are rly nice! |
