I totally get where you're coming from, but the execution of this focus switch, to me, was botched. I'm all for suspense and trying to get something accomplished without knowing whether it will end well or not, but when events are dragged out to near intolerable lengths, it tries my patience too much. To me, it was a mistake to stretch the two answer arcs to encompass the remaining 19 episodes of the series. If Kai had been reduced to just those two answer arcs and said arcs would only encompass 13 episodes combined, then perhaps the pacing problem wouldn't have been so painfully obvious.

Oh yes the first opening is sugoi. It became one of my favorites. I don't really like the second opening though, but the second ending is really great.

I started Shiki. The graphics are kinda weird, but the story is awesome. I wont watch it at night time (again TwT")

I will concour that the manga was good. I'm upset that they're milking the battle scenes out. Its almost like the animators don't have enough manga content, or are trying way to hard to make it exactly like the manga. Either way, I didn't think the whole battle of trost was going to take 6+ episodes

Shingeki's story is a story of an Avatar. Basically the lead male character in the series fulfills this role. Humans are terribly oppressed, ect, ect, and all of a sudden they have a weapon to fight with, an titan that hates titans, because it is truly human.

So in terms of story, I've seen enough media (not just anime) to say, "Thats a cut, copy, and paste Avatar story." Its not really original, but the same can be said about most stories now. It's just a different way of conveying the same story.

That's why I say its not really original.

And besides, if you want to say the idea of titans killing humans is original, that's also not true. Watch the original Macross series. Replace the Medieval titans with Space titans.
