| It's amusing yet also a bit frustrating to see a lot of audience omniscience bias at work. Lelouch might seem to be in the right for us, but honestly, his behavior during these past few episodes was not conductive to having anyone trust him. Which he didn't even want in the first place! Lelouch wanted to keep his former allies as enemies for a reason. If they had tried to join up with him, he'd reject them and continue with his plans, that require him to be the enemy of the world. In other words, Lelouch IS NOT on the side of the Black Knights during this battle. That's not what he wants. As for Nunnally's survival, it's far-fetched but not illogical. She escaped in an unescorted shuttle that Sayoko boarded while her Britannian assistant, who was in a shuttle with a Knightmare escort used as a decoy to attract attention, died. Rolo thought Nunnally's shuttle had blown up and reported as much, but he didn't get to see the real shuttle. Only the other one (the decoy). It's easier to explain with pictures though. That could have saved her. The theory matches the known facts of the episode where she appeared to die, and this episode explicitly referenced it. There's even a long blog post where someone goes over all the details and confirms that's a valid explanation for her re-appearance. That said, I didn't personally like the idea, as a plot device, when the show was originally airing. But in retrospect I am capable of accepting it. In a way, this also ties into some of the resolutions and confrontations that happen later on. |

| Episode was awesome. Lelouch pinning down most of the Black Knights, this guy really knows his strategies. Then he lies to Nunnally about doing everything he did as Zero for her. This guy is one of the best Villains I've ever seen. Schneizel you bastard, killing Cornelia like that. I think Schneizel should be the real enemy here. I'm hoping that with only 2 episodes left, that this series will end on good terms. I really hope so. Onto the next ep! |

| What's the point of bringing Cornelia back if she gonna die just like that. and i still don't understand these fucktards Black Knights logic. They betray Lelouch who is on their side, just to go form an alliance with Schneizel whose 100x worse than Zero/Lelouch ever was. I hope they all die especially that bitch Ohgi, and they even gave him the "Pregnant Wife" plotline. Fuck him and his unborn kid. |

| This episode felt a lot like the decisive battle from the Chinese Federation arc. Lelouch is facing impossible odds. The dialogue is specifically written to make it seem like Lelouch is cornered and out of options. But unlike last time where he pulled the solution out of his ass. At least here we see Nina and Lloyd working on the damn thing bemoaning how they need more time. Whatever it is, we'll find out next time. So yeah I kind of feel like this might be the most uneventful episode in the end game. Though I may stand sorely corrected in the last two episodes. The Black Knight are just a distraction to artificially increase tension and drama before Lelouch enacts his master sneak attack on Schneizel. While their struggles may (likely will) prove pointless, we at least get to see the Black Knights gloriously in action one last time. And facing off against Lelouch now no less. When he wrecked their shit with that mine explosion, it was just a classic Zero moment. I don't hate the Black Knights, I don't want them to die. Especially Ohgi with little Ohgi Jr on the way. But they need a little punishment for doubting our boy Lelouch. I mean true he's Mech Hitler right now. But I mean before that. There's not a whole lot more to say about this episode. Nunally has chosen to hold on to the FLEIJA trigger which can only prove super significant in the near future. Schneizel murders Cornelia when she turns on him, earning the horror and potential mistrust of his sycophantic second in command dude. Oh yeah and Lelouch seems to be trying to make them unleash all the FLEIJAs. Despite the fact Lloyd and Nina are working on anti-FLEIJA counter measures right now. A few questions, a lot of uncertainty. This episode seems like basically a two parter might as well move on to the next one. |

| The soundtrack in the middle during everyone's preparation was beautiful; so innocent and unassuming yet unwavering and resolute. Everyone has their own valid reason to fight. It's nice how Schneizel has become the scapegoat for Lelouch's intentions, Damocles is completely absurd. |

| this show is insane so lelouch is faking being an evil hardass to defeat schneizel? nice. i couldn't tell if he was pretending or if he did a full 180 (crazy). but for the black knights to turn on him so completely and to side with schneizel so easily still isn't sitting right with me....... schneizel is stone cold wow but this show is full of people doing morally wrong things because they believe it is for the greater good so is it even that shocking but poor cornelia!! i liked her!! she was one of the few rational level headed characters. plus a total badass. and her hair was pretty too. what is the zero requiem? and (even though it's cool to see it) why are suzaku and lelouch working together? what made them kiss and make up? |
