Best episode so far, I really enjoyed this one. Nyanko-sensei was hialrious again and the Youkais are getting more and more interesting. I wonder if Natsume will make use of some of the Youkais at some point since they're so easy to command as long as their names are written in the book.
I dunno, I guess I'm the only one but I didn't find this episode too great. This series is just kinda bleh to me so far, quite honestly. If the youkai were actually more like monsters, maybe it'd be a bit better. I dunno...

Yea..those who havent watched so many animes are probably thinking so.. I know I would like 3-4 years back need more action and blood.. But once one has seen all the kickass youkai action one wants something more calm later on..
Trust me on that ;p since we seem to have 88% compatibility ratio =)

Agreed with this getting better as it progresses. In particular I'm really fond of the way Natsume is torn between humans and youkai, especially considering one group, from Natsume's perspective as a child, was constantly tormenting him while the other he hasn't been able to establish strong relationships with due to being different. Obviously being an outcast isn't something foreign to anime, but much like other parts of this show that don't mind walking along an already cleared path it does it so well that it shouldn't have to go out of it's way to be original.
As for whether it will get darker or if there will be more monster-esque youkai I'm really hoping it won't since it's already treading a fine line between "really good show that doesn't have to reinvent the wheel" and "haven't I seen this show several times before?"
I wouldn't say it beat episode 2, personally (hard to beat that ending), but I did enjoy it and I'm glad that it seems to be keeping the same feel even with other human characters.
love it!! the first two eps were so-so to me but this one was great!!! i really enjoy the calm feeling of this series. makes me feel good. of course there is the cute nyanko-sensei.
it gets better and better! beautiful like the first two episodes. and i totally expected that black-haired boy to be the bad one, what's with that evil-ish grin >.> lol but i'm kinda glad he isn't. looking forward to more! love LOVE this anime! <3
I'm really liking this series so far. I just hope they keep the youkais wacky and light hearted. It's nice to watch a series thats just calm and doesn't try to be too suspenseful and dark.
As people have said the "sexy belly dance" part was extremly funny!
This anime is showing such promise, I really hope it continues that way. The ED is beautiful, I can't wait for its release. <3
Awsome episode, the best so far ^^ I really like Nyako-sensei, he can be hilarious sometimes, but when he shows his real self, to quote CCSakura "I go all hanyaaaaan"
And I really enjoyed the flashback =) This series is becoming more and more interesting
I don't like the opening and the ending, though, too soft and lame :P
I didn't expect Natsume Yuujinchou to be so funny! Nyanko-sensei, the cheerleading youkai, the 'sexual harassment'... I don't often laugh out loud at anime, but this had me rolling around in my chair. Great stuff!
I had a moment when the massive horse demon showed up - kimono, hooves and all - when I just went, 'SO COOOOOL.' Favourite youkai so far, y/n?

and his childhood was so sad...
the creators/animators are really good at bringing out emotion imo
but u kinda wonder if this is going to b the plot: freeing youkai
regardless ill still watch anyway :D
