| valoon, Many of the picture dramas contain little to none animation indeed, but for existing entries they are allowed to be added, that's according to the database guidelines. That's how things are. Alice SOS has initially aired as a 28 episodes series in a 15 minute block on NHK and apparently was combined into 14 episodes for the DVD release. Unfortunately your request cannot be fulfilled, as the first release is the most important one. |

That's how things are. I brought up the Kuroshitsuji Picture Drama as well 4 months ago but never got a reply on it. Quoting myself: This entry is from a Live Event in which VAs do one of those comedic read-throughs of a mock script coupled with background pictures for an audience. I don't quite think this is what "Picture Drama" is going for by the database's definition. The other DB's "Picture Dramas" are stills done professionally in a recording studio and typically included on the anime's DVD/BD release. That's what I assumed the DB guidelines meant for. This Kuroshitsuji one wasn't done in a recording studio and wasn't released on the anime's DVD/BD release. Which is why I think it should be deleted. Otherwise I feel like a mountain of Live Event read-throughs will be added to the database just because they had new pictures in the background. God, I honestly can't think of an anime Live Event that didn't have a read-through with new pictures. |

| That DVD is of the Live Event. So it would make sense it would be included in there. I don't know if this is kosher due to legality, feel free to have my comment edited but if you want to see it for yourself, you can youtube search "Kuroshitsuji Seiyuu Event - Red Valentine part14" it starts at 6:40 and continues through to part 17 at the 3 min mark. |

| lanblade, Kuroshitsuji Picture Drama does meet the guidelines. It meets all the Picture Drama criteria and was released on the DVD for fans to purchase. It doesn't matter where it was shoot, in a studio or on a stage - it is still done professionally. I understand your concerns regarding the similar Live Event read-throughs to be suddenly allowed to be added to the database, but I am pretty sure there is not many cases out there like the Kuroshitsuji one. Every similar submission will be dealt with on a case by case basis. |

| lanblade, Well, if these are done in similar fashion; - features new pictures that are drawn by an official artist, original creator. - voiced by the official actors. - containing a new story that somehow expands or adds. are possibly officially called a Picture Drama and are released on a Blu-ray/DVD, than yeah i can take a look. | Frostwork, constantly denied? I am not sure about that. The entry was denied only once, about a year ago. Kara no Kyoukai TV version is not a special, but a TV series that compiles previous movie adaptations. Apparently it doesn't have any significant amounts of new footage added for it to qualify for an entry. That's was the reason for the denial. |

| Frostwork, Yes, these are usually called a TV edits; consisting of 12-13 episodes which are of a standard 25-minute lenght, these are basically a TV series and are threated accordingly on MAL. You are right, the line regarding TV edits should and I hope will be added into DB guidelines. |
