| Novel author Yamaguchi Noboru posted in his twitter that he will be hospitalized tomorrow and will take a major surgery in August. He said he would have been dead if he had missed the chance to take the operation. "The 21st volume of Zero no Tsukaima novel will be delayed at least for two months. Please forgive me! Damn! I'll live on. I had been desperate, but I miraculously got an opportunity to take the operation. There is a possibility of survival. I really want to live." Source: Yamaguchi's twitter Update July 15th According to Media Factory, Yamaguchi is suffering from a terminal-stage cancer. A tumor was found this February. At that point, it was impossible to carry out a surgery but a shrinkage of the tumor was observed in May thanks to the effect of anti-cancer drugs. He said he has already completed the outlines of the remaining two volumes of Zero no Tsukaima novel and wanted to publish them as soon as possible. It's fine to hate the work, but it's totally uncalled for to wish for a person's death just because you hate said work. That's just horrible. |

| Regardless of his works, it still managed to have three seasons. He has my respect and my hopes for a successful surgery. Besides, I want the anime adaptation to improve and I need his work to change my opinions about it. As long as he's alive, there is possibility for more change in the industry. |

| Oh gosh, I hope he comes out all right! If its funds that is preventing him from potentially getting some treatment, someone should start a donation fund for him. I'm sure the crazy anime fans will donate thousands of dollars to help someone they love not die. That seems pretty up there on the importance scale. |

| It's times like this that you realize just how precious life is... Anime/manga/LN just doesn't matter, I don't care if ZnT ever gets finished, I don't care if we ever get another anime... A person's life is in danger.....that should be the only concern. Very sad news... It's so ridiculous to read so many comments where IDIOTS feel the need to show their disapproval of the series this man created as if that mattered or had any weight at a time like this....it just shows how people really are. |
