Was that the Red Ribbon Army? And Goku should take a closer look at the dragon radar....

Lol, that killed me :D
Anyway, what's with all the violence? I bet that USA censored the part when this Red Ribbon Leader killed the storekeeper :0

I was about to say, "Goku is pretty lucky that the four-star ball turned up so early." :(

I wonder if he'll end up finding all of them. :D

It was sad when the storekeeper got shot.

I want to know how he only has two subordinates. Well, how he gets the money is a good question as well.

As much as a fan as i am of the DB franchise, i have never actually went back and watched the original Japanese versions uncut. I think i saw like a few saga's, but never really took the time to go back and watch all of DB. The last time i saw dragonball and Dragon ball Z in its entirety was when it was on toonami, its really been that long. Just based on knowledge that i have gathered from online, i do know alot of material that was cut though.

I also at some point want to see the Remake of Kai and see how much they butchered it :P

He kind of deserved it. He was selling counterfeit products. He was a greedy man.

Even though this is a filler episode if I'm not mistaken the death of that shopkeeper had to be the most brutal thing in this sires so far, I guess a prelude of what's to come.

Wow, now that's what I call good filler. I hadn't the slightest idea at all, everything that happened was so dense and felt so important, especially the introduction of this well thought out town and supporting character as well as this first truly evil looking villain who raided innocent homes and actually killed someone. Seriously, if the filler is this quality this is some good filler, probably the best I've seen.

Little fact, the same guy who dubs the military leader's voice in the Spanish version will later dub Goku's voice in DBZ. (I don't use to watch dubbed anime but since it reminds me of my childhood and so... Mario Castañeda is my favorite hispanic seiyū by the way).

Pilaf is back, and was tricked by a shopkeeper who had a huge collection of fake Dragon Balls. Ironically a real one was right behind his shop, in a birds nest of all places.

A seemingly new antagonist is introduced, which I assume is part of a military organization called the Red Ribbon army judging from the saga's title. He seems unsavoury enough to be willing to harm a defenceless and a harmless family. As for that crooked shopkeeper, he shouldn't have played with fire. I don't think he will be learning his lesson any time soon now that he is dead.

Pilaf and his co. are back, and they're as ridiculous as they were back in the first saga. With their welcome addition, this new arc is bound to have some amusing moments here and there.

Interesting to see Pilaf back already. Seems the hunt for the dragon balls has already begun. The new antagonist has a far more darker vibe to him than any character so far in the show. Though, this is all filler, so I'm not expecting too much.

I knew something is not right. So it is, the ball is not real. Man that shopkeeper has a tons of these balls. Pilaf got tricked!!!

Is the 4 star ball have something special other than the other stared balls???

For a filler this really solidly established the army as being really menacing.

Pilaf, Goku, and a mysterious army are all trying to get the real dragon ball first, but they come across a trove of fakes. A seagull has made off with the real ball.

Damn this was filler??? Top tier, and even on par with Gintama’s, I thought that this was real story content lmao. I wonder how much time it’s been since the tournament to have the dragon balls back already.
