| Let's bring this thread back to life desu. :-X @ Roloko Just so you know, your list is barely readable. Boku Wa Imouto: I guess you despise incest? I thought this OAV was more than decent, but incomplete. Art is better than in the manga. Togainu No Chi: I do plan to watch it, but I'm afraid I will be disappointed. Shugo Chara: I've only read the first volume of the manga so far, absolutely cliché, childish and uninteresting. Kuroshitsuji 2: I hated the first season, so I have no intention of watching the second, which seems even worse. Mirage Of Blaze: Watched the first episode many years ago and quickly forgot about it, pretty much dropped. Angel Sanctuary: I also hate this with a passion, but not because of the incest. I found it extremely bad, cliché and tedious, the opposite of an enjoyable, well-done series. I've only read some of the manga, and it was more than enough. Tsubasa movie: Completely average, good only for TRC fans. Eiken: lol, this looks just plain ridiculous. Final Fantasy movie: We agree, this sucks. No enjoyment at all. I almost fell asleep. X movie: Okay, the anime and the movie are pretty bad indeed, compared with the epic manga, but they deserve more than a 2. Naruto: Obvious drop. |

| @Rena It's nice to find someone who agrees with me on Akira. Pale Cocoon - This anime isn't for everyone, I get that. I ranked it fairly high because I believe the plot progression and character distinction deserved it(On top of being very interested in the nature and importance of history) Tsubasa Chronicle - Absolutely agree. Everything they put on TV should be censored and burned. Pokemon the first - Someone didn't have a childhood. But No, this was pretty gracious if you take the movie on its own merit. Naruto - FRIENDSHIP! BELIEVE IT!.. Yeah no. I haven't seen a long running shounen yet that deserves more than a five(Not counting Brotherhood). Akira - I put it a bit higher because currently all an anime needs to impress me above a 5 is a coherent plot. But I thought the movie was boring, the relationship between the main characters went unestablished, and a host of other problems. Gantz/2nd - Saw this when I was about 14 but if memory serves(And i think it does) i rated this low as well due to the MC being a whiny little brat who deserved to die Claymore - For a while I really enjoyed this series. Then the dreaded ending screwed that up. Completely agree with this grade. Pokemon - Ok now you are just being confrontational. Do you also kick puppies and throw rocks at ice cream trucks?(Just to add some clarification: Roommates untrained animals do not count as "puppies" and ice cream trucks with bells deserve it.) Daioh - Smoke a bong and go back and tell me you didn't giggle. Dragonball GT: Everything Dragonball related after the freeza arc has no right to exist. See my comment on Naruto either way. |
| @Mukiruh DB franchise-yes it is average stuff... Gungrave-I would have liked this anime if the scifi/supernatura/super power stuff is not in it. Naruto-Average but worse than DB franchise in my opinion....one example is the overuse character with bad past(naruto, gaara, haku, that bone dude, and probably more I can't remember). Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai-understandable, a love it or hate it anime because I have not seen much people who sees Ore no imouto as average stuff. |

| @Lambo-Kun Response: Clannad: I do think most harem/romance aren't done that well, but that's not why I don't like Clannad. I listed my reasons of not liking it in the comments, so you'll have to click "more" to see those reasons. But I'll give a example of what I didn't like, the comedy relief guy was not funny, and made me felt extremely awkward. I'd feel ashamed if somebody saw me watching Clannad. Digimon-story/characters was better than Pokemon as I remember it. I'd rather watch this today than Pokemon though. Higashi No Eden-yep...plotholes and an ending that sucked. Hijime no Ippo-I didn't like it because it's too shounen. @ your list Hm..not that many 5 and below that I've seen. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt-hm....Yeah...now that I think about it I did not enjoy this as much to have rate it a 6. I should give it a 5 too haha. Angel Beats!: Stairway to Heaven-Yup...really, really average stuff. |
| Taro - Gungrave - It was handled poorly. Bones could have done a better job. I wholeheartedly agree. Panty and Stocking - It did get old after a while, very recycled and thoughtless. The soundtrack and animation quality was quite nice, however. Higashi no Eden - While I can see why some people would dislike this series, I cannot for the life of me understand as to why you allowed yourself to watch the movies for a series you did not initially enjoy. To me, this seems like it would require the same thought process as willingly drinking your own vomit through a straw. Freezing/IS/Mai-HiME/Clannad - These choices surprise me, as you strike me as the type of person who would enjoy these anime. I cannot say I disagree - absolute trash. Grave of the Fireflies - While it is essentially sadness porn, it is an incredibly realistic and beautifully portrayed film. It is not a perfect film, but it is worth plenty. Mushishi/Hikaru no Go - This is incorrect. It is good that you dropped them. I do not think I would be able to get along with you. |

| @ fantastic: Ayashi no Ceres: I personally loved that series, but then again I can see why it wouldn't appeal to some people Angel Sanctuary: It would have been better if it were longer so I can see why you gave it a 3 the Clannad series: Possibly one of my favorite Key anime I absolutely adore this series, but I can understand if some people find it appalling. Chrono Crusade: It was alright, but it was boring at parts. Code Geass picture dramas: I loved them especially the Kiseki no Birthday event since he Rolo/Nunnally moment made my heart melt so cute <3 Digimon Tamers: this was my second favorite Digimon series it was really interesting. Personally I don't see how Frontier is better than Tamers, but thats just me I mean they are both good series I just found that after Tamers Digimon kinda goes downhill a bit. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within: I totally agree except I gave it a lower rating I think it was a waste of my money and time. Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny: My first Gundam series and I loved it. I can see where the 2 for Destiny came from I personally liked it for the characters not the plot if it even had one I can't remember. School Days: Watched the first episode, got bored. Then I skipped to the last episode and laughed my ass off. Although I'm thinking about going back and watching the rest of the 10 episodes. Togainu no Chi: It was good until episode 10 then after that it went terrible. Overall Shiki is a douchebag and Keisuke is awesome. Xenosaga the Animation: I agree with this the game is better. Even though I only watched the first episode it didn't appeal to me like the game did. |

| @ -Arthur: Air--It was definitely the weakest of Jun Maeda's works. The ending is up there with Angel Beats!, though. Demonbane--Not that bad, nothing too good. Satisfying ending. FLCL--I can't understand the hype on this anime myself. Fortune Arterial--I'm a big fan of moelodrama. Pretty weak ending though. Umineko--There is no Umineko anime. A Certain Scientific Railgun--I should have liked this, but I didn't. The World God Only Knows--Clearly you're envious of Keima's VN skills. Kanon 2006-- My favorite Key title, but the finish was idiotic. Time of Eve--There's a very philosophical feel to this anime, but its quality doesn't hinge on its pretenses like so many others of its kind. It remembers that emotion is the most important part of fiction, and develops its characters with such care in six episodes than what most anime do in twenty-five. Those looking for the unexpected will certainly find plot twists, but they're delivered in such passive yet noticeable ways that it doesn't feel like it's a show made of sudden changes. And of course, the romantic aspect, though not the focus, is believably conveyed and very heart-warming. Overall, it's a spot-on perfected masterpiece that can at least be appreciated if one doesn't like it outright. |

But I'm baffled by the scores for Haruhi (though my own rating for this one is a bit over the top, I admit), Junjou Romantica and Code Geass. You seem to be unable to discern beteween "quality" and "what I dislike". They are different, and ratings should be objective. |

| @ladyxzeus: Huh, you do dislike a lot of shows when I was a kid... Beyblade, Digimon, and two of my favorite Pokemon movies, Sonic X, YGO, Tokyo Mew Mew. Digimon, Pokemon, Tokyo Mew Mew and YGO received nostalgia points. Beyblade and Sonic X... well, they're just bleh. Dragon Ball GT: Yeah, I really disliked this series. Watched a couple of episodes of this and disliked EVERYTHING. Opening is horrible, and overall poor. Tales of Symphonia: Liked this, but it was disappointing. Battles were short and they didn't exactly cover everything. Art may seem strange, but it's from the opening of the game. Yeaaaah. It had too many OVAs IMO, though. If you haven't played the game, I can imagine someone REALLY disliking this. The story isn't really something special (Someone becomes the Chosen One and said Chosen One has to go on a journey to save the woooorld! Sound familiar?) but if you have, I got the 'good but disappointing' vibe on it. ...Also, there should be a 'Cooking with Regal Bryant' special or something like that. Juuust because Regal happens to be the best cook in the game. (Use Genis as your cook if you haven't gotten Bryant yet) Some of you may argue, "He's handcuffed. How can Regal cook?" Exactly. |

I liked this movie though Sonic X - It sucks 11 Eyes - Used to have it on my PTW list, but I heard it was trash, so I deleted it. Dx Densetu no Yuusha: I personally loved this series it was slow and sometimes it was boring, but the characters were interesting. | Since there isn't many on Ap's list I'll do Shadow's too @Applepie181: Elfen Lied: It was decent, but I thought the manga was better although not by much. @Shadow: TC: Shunraiki: I personally think this one deserved a 9 and the second season deserved a 6 cause of fillers. Then again this is my own opinion and taste. Bleach: I only watched one episode of Bleach and haven't went back since although I do find some of the characters cool from looking at their designs and character descriptions. Inyuasha: my friend made me marathon it with her it was meh so I agree with the 2. Naruto: I made it a bit farther than you did I only gave it a 4 since Zabusa and Haku kept my interest. After that one incident I dropped it when I realized they were going to take some exam. Panty and Stocking: I loved this series it was sorta different, but its a love/hate sort of series. |

Hellsing: Lol Higurashi Kai: I think I understand why you didn't like the conclusion, the boring episodes in the middle and the final arc that was all happy and lacked anything the other arcs did, last season had a better conclusion arc. Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Overrated series that is boring and generic. Some of it was funny but most of it was annoying to get through. Panty and Stocking: Love it or hate it show, all about taste. Haruhi Suzumiya: I can see why you think this is an overrated series, I liked it but I think it is overrated but I still enjoyed the first episodes a lot, others varied. |

I'm generally with you when it comes to recommendations and such like but diverge with you on the following: *Berserk - Not a 10 by any means of the imagination but an all time favorite of mine just the same. *Kanon (2006) - Not my usual fare, but for its particular niche, pretty good. *Glass Mask (2005) - Awww. All the melodramatic romanticized struggle and strife sucked me right in. *Jyu Oh Sei - Not all that memorable, but I liked it. *InuYasha - Sorry, fond memories here. . . . . and at my age, I still think Seshoumuru (sp) is hot. *Gundam Wing - Another non-masterpiece that remains a fave. *MSG Seed - You know, I think some of the supporting characters made that show for me. And the soundtrack is wonderful. *Clannad - I watched the whole wrenched Clannad saga just to see what the fuss was all about. Never did figure it out. After Story was mildly more interesting but that's not saying much. @Ikuzomi *Dragon Ball stuff - Never watched it. Never will. *Yosuga no Sora - Not put off by the subject matter. | Well, we're pretty compatible... Final Fantasy VII: Last Order is a 5, I gave it a 6, so pretty much the same score. It wasn't very good and the animation was meh, so that's pretty much what it deserves in my opinion. Naruto is a 5, and I also gave it a 6, pretty much for the same reasons as the previous one. The 2nd and 3rd Naruto movies are about the same, a 3, I gave it a 6, same reasons, it's just not very good, I don't remember what would warrant a 3 rating, but genrally, I agree. Kuroshitsuji is a 5, although I personally loved it, but I can also understand why someone wouldn't like it. It's not amazing and it's not really something that's for everyone. |

Naruto--I actually set my default entertainment zone at 6/10. No problems here. Naruto: Shippuden--This on the other hand is a slap in the face that the fans get for waiting through 80-something odd episodes of filler. I just recently saw it again and it was much less impressive that the first time I saw it, many a year ago although still decent. I suspect you watched this several years after it came out, or just didn't like the style. Kiddy-Girl-And - Hmm, a pretty all around meh series. I actually agree with this 5, maybe a 6. Mew-Two Returns - Hmmm, I'd like to think it was a bit better than a 5 though no where near as good as the first movie. K-ON! - And here I thought you either love K-ON! or you hate it. Way to go, you just shattered my universe with your 5. Milky-Homes - Yea..........I kinda agree. Should change my score I think I gave it too high of a score. I was probably high off teh lolis or something. Canaan - Really? I found the series to be quite good despite not being that original. DBZ - I'm not the biggest DBZ fan either but it's definitely above average. Code Geass - Really now? You seem to be trolling. Sure, it may be overrated but its definitely an above average show. | 07-Ghost: I didn't actually finish it, but I can see why you'd say that. I started to watch it because I kind of liked the manga, but it wasn't super, and the anime was even worse. Too boring for me to dedicate my time to. I personally love Advent Children and don't see why anyone would give it a 5, so I don't know what that's all about. And that's about it, except I skipped to "recap" things, but those don't really even deserve ratings at all... I literally fell asleep watching .hack//Roots, it was kind of like mind numbing torture. I dunno, I just thought it was terrible, slow, repetitive, annoying, etc. |

Never mind that the characters were just as insipid. 5 is too generous :/ Tsubasa Chronicle - I think I watched five or so episodes before I lost interest. Had the series been 12-26 episodes long, I might have pushed to finish it, but the thought of watching 50+ episodes is intolerable. Inuyasha - too long... and I know Kagome would be as annoying as hell. Would watch it only for Sesshomaru. You must have found .Hack//Roots to be incredibly bad if you could rate it as 1 and give Boku no Pico a 7. |

| @ophiucha Haruhi: Well...I guess you watched the show more recently, or at least after hearing tons of good stuff about it after it got HUGE. Usually that means you have either very high expectations that are unlikely to be met or you are simply prepared to hate it for it's popularity (because the huge fuss surrounding some show can get REALLY annoying). Objectively a 5 is definately too low. Obviously I can't agree with this, but hey, it's your taste. Clannad: I didn't particularly like the first season either but I guess this show just isn't your type of thing. Naruto: If you count fillers, 5 is an okay rating. A bunch of BL shows...obviously rated low. (at least from my male point of view) |

Still, probably deserved better than a 5 though Escaflowne - Ya it wasn't anything special Eureka 7 - It was a pretty odd show... and not all that great. 3 is a bit low though Goshuushsama Ninomiya kun - Deserved that Green Green - Really deserves that Hellsing - I'll agree its overrated but a 3 seems kind of harsh Kimikiss pure Rouge - Wow i never met someone who has given that piece of crap a lower score tan i did Maburaho - I can understand if u dislike generi harems... but I still think its the best harem out there Gundam Seed - Probably deserves better Gundam Seed Destiny - Only slightly deserves better |

| WHY!? Why do I keep seeing people that gave Advent Children a 5? I love that movie... Also, not sure why you gave Fruits Basket a 4. Sure, it wasn't as good as the manga, but it was still a great anime. Not sure if Toradora! deserves a 5, but since I couldn't even finish it, I'd probably give it a 6, not terrible but not my thing. I would probably give FMP! a 5 or something, but I quit after the first or the second episode, so maybe it deserves a 3. Loved Gundam 00, so I def. don't think it should get a 5, but I guess I generally like all them whiney emo guys. Not sure if Soul Eater deserves a 5, it would have been probably been a 6 or 7 for me if I'd finished it or gotten further. |
