| pretty lack luster episode, I hate when they do, good plot episode then just throw in a shittty out of place episode that seems to forget what happened in the episode before, then the episode after that goes back on track. |
| It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die. |
| I also prefer the episodes with plot, but I love how Arakawa usually mixes in good amounts of comedy with the more serious moments. A few moments in this episode were quite funny, not as funny as the previous episodes though. And Whitey's wife sure is understanding o.O |
| While I didn't feel there was nearly as much wabi as there should have been, I will say this: Whitey = casanova. |

I agree. Although I think this season has still had a pretty good great:meh ratio (and really, the okay episodes are still pretty fun). I enjoyed the first part, even knowing full well that there had to be some absurd thing in the package for whitey. The second part was a bit of a drag, but it might have been funnier if I had any sort of understanding of what the hell they were talking about. |

| I for one say it was about time the subs came for this one since I don't want to see it RAW, sometimes I am like this. Regardless very good episode except the traditional tea ceremony got me completely baffled! Did not understand but I did find it's funny moments fine. The part before the OP was art fantastic, especially Nino render and Mayor/Billy/Rec/Sister in king form and I liked that. The first few segments after the OP the interactions of Shirai/Shimazaki was amazing in regards to Shimazaki being shown differently than from her normal appearance and her blushing as well as Stella/Sister attacking the delivery person. Of all things Shirai's wife supports him in his strange sport. Have to say tea ceremony was stupendous to me but of all things samurai going crazy at some point got my laughs going. Nino and Piko speaking some French was also good to me. Gelato/coffee reminds me of making some coffee for myself with ice cream :D Anyone else likes that? Venus breathing was fun too with Maria insulting Sister. Best to me were Piko faces and particularly 2 in the spoiler |

| I've been wanting an episode or half-an-episode focusing on Whitey and Shimazaki, and though it was lackluster, it was midly entertaining for what it was worth. It would have been better if the teaparty had continued than the guys going off in a tangent for a tea ceremony in my opinion. Girly Star and Ric was funny for one moment, but then it got tiring fast. 3/5 |
| Nah, this episode was barely okay. I also wonder when Venus will be back in the storyline. It ends with a cliffhanger? Or maybe with some fatal error that makes them stay? I guess the latter. |

| I guess I was the only one who cared enough to look it up? Wabi-sabi is a japanese worldview focused on the transience of life. As an aesthetic, it basically means "wisdom in natural simplicity" or else "flawed beauty. I'll just quote from wikipedia here: "In the Japanese tea ceremony, the pottery items used are often rustic and simple-looking, e.g. Hagi ware, with shapes that are not quite symmetrical, and colors or textures that appear to emphasize an unrefined or simple style. In reality, these items can be quite expensive and in fact, it is up to the knowledge and observational ability of the participant to notice and discern the hidden signs of a truly excellent design or glaze (akin to the appearance of a diamond in the rough). This may be interpreted as a kind of wabi-sabi aesthetic, further confirmed by the way the colour of glazed items is known to change over time as hot water is repeatedly poured into them (sabi) and the fact that tea bowls are often deliberately chipped or nicked at the bottom (wabi), which serves as a kind of signature of the Hagi-yaki style. |

| Probably the most boring episode with the two tea ceremonies simply because I did not catch the culture references at all. Wabisabi I actually did get, but there was a bunch of other random terms left untranslated by the fansubs I was watching as well. |
