| Who would have thought that Agemaki would have such a cute little sister who isn't afraid of spirits. And it seems his mother knew from the start that Zakuro was a half spirit, and she also seems to be fine with them. Issue looked very cute in her Nekomata form. I also liked it when Zakuro was jealous of Tae. |
| Agemaki has a cat demon as a pet, how cute. His mom knew about Zakuro being a half-Spirit and was quite understanding. Zakuro was showing her tsundere side all through this entire episode at Agemaki's expense. |

It seems Lady Agemaki and her little daughter Kumiko can sense spiritual powers. she knew all along that Zakuro was a half spirit and still entrusted her son to Zakuro's care. goes to show her understanding. great moms are great. lucky Kei. not sure about the dad though, as he was quite annoying. Zakuro being jealous of Tae being all over Kei +1 Eve's dropping of the three girls and Hanakiri (loved the moment when Susukihotaru said 'oh my!' while blushing). +1 Assistant Zakuro and Young Master Kei. +1 Kei trying to hide Zakuro's ears. <3 +1 /Body Blow/ "I know". | Gotta love more Zakuro and Kei. I love this show so much. I feel weird watching it with other people in the room because I'm smiling through the whole thing and I just know they think I'm strange! Can't wait for next week. Hotaru and Zakuro switching places, huh? Should be interesting. I'm hoping both partners will give insight to each other. Kind of like Riken explaining things about Agemaki to Zakuro. A week is so long to wait... |

Although this felt like a sort of insignificant episode, we met the family at least and learned the origin of his fear. LOL <grin> Oh - sure - give the logical reason.<grin> I'm going with Itsue is really a bakeneko, note the two tails, who's bakeneko boyfriend ate his little sister one night while hanging out at the mansion and took her shape - or somethin'. I really like this series but just the thought of the incredibly heavy irony of his father marrying a yokai (or something) makes me facepalm. It won't stop me from watching but I'm hoping against hope there's another explanation. |

| Enjoyable episode once again. I don't get the whole thing with the mother/little sister being able to sense/see spirits though..I hope they delve further into that. Still nothing confirmed on how many episodes it will be though..ANN says 13, however they also claim that Star Driver will be 13 as well while it's been confirmed for 25. But since this a JC Staff "shoujo-esque show" all signs point to 24+ |

| HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU GUYS!? ANN SAYS 'EPISODE TITLES: WE HAVE 13' and NOT NUMBER OF EPISODES. Wait, people still visit ANN? WOW! As for the anime, its in the airing time slot which usually have aired 2Q shows. So Zakuro is expected to have 24-26 episodes at least. Which is all good. As for Mrs. Agemaki and Kumiko being able to see/sense youkai, I think it will be explained later. Well I dont mind if they dont explain, some things are better off left as mysteries ;) Edit: Just did a check, the only anime with Q1 number of episodes at the same Fall Anime time slot (known as Q1) was in Fall 2008 (Namely: Bihada Ichizoku) in the last 10 years. So, chances of Zakuro having 24-26 episodes is quite high as expected. But in the worst case, for us the fans, it will have 12-13 episodes against a 9:1 odd. |

| Lack of Susukihotaru made me rage >w> that aside, nice ep :D at last we get to see why Agemaki is so afraid of spirits... funny thing it's mostly because of his father yelling at him lol, since that wasn't such a scary experience IMO. And jealous Zakuro was cute ~w~ |

| Isue...so cute!!! Zakuro needs to just drop the tsundere act. She's having too much difficulty keeping her emotions in control when it comes to Kei. BTW, why does this show have an R rating? I haven't seen anything remotely close to R so far. |

When tsundere have a good balance they can be lovely and Zakuro generally doesn't over do it with her tsun-tsun. For example she did toy with him a little with the coupons and staff but she still made everything he asked of her to do even if it was a little hard. Although the episode was nice and it was good to see some background on the main male lead too i was a little disappointed because i thought after the last episode that was a similar style we would have had a more intense one this week. But in general still a sweet and lovely episode and the twist with the cat and his little sister along with the mother seeming to understand more than she shows it made a nice plot. Now we need a more intense and main plot driven episode because if we keep up with this slow ones, no matter how lovely they are, they are gone start getting tiring. This episode was kinda like the episode 6 that gave background information on the characters. Riken with Zakuro and Kei with Susukihotaru :/ Looks like we agree. Really if the next is similar with the last two, then the show really needs to be more than just 12-13 episodes. I would hate it if it develops once more like many 12 episode anime this days to have a main plot resolving episodes only in the last two and waste all the other episodes in other things. |
| Found this episode to be really enjoyable and probably one of my favorites so far. Much of this had to do with it being focused entirely on Zakuro and Kei. As straight-forward as Kei's character appears to be, I appreciated learning about how his fear of spirits originated. Also, it's not hard to see where his kindness comes from. Tai's introduction was fun if only to see Zakuro's reaction. While the overall plot didn't progress, their relationship continues to move along at a steady pace and this aspect of the show continues to be handled superbly. |
