I really liked the second part, where Ebi-chan acts so differently toward Takeru inside and outside the school. She seemed little bit like a tsundere to me. It was a nice departure from the usual maid cafe stories.

Oh, I just learned that the pokopoko racoon is Arayashiyama family's pet. I was wondering why he kept appearing in the eyecatches. :p

Less Arashiyama this episode though her epic laugh at the end was quiet funny.

Hilarious ep once again, the focus on the secondary characters really broadens the show.

I didn't really remember Arashiyama had a younger brother, but his chapter was awesome. As for the rest, it was okay. I am not really a fan of the other maid anyways.

There was really nothing wrong with this episode. Simply wonderful episode. Tatsuno moments were brilliantly executed and Yuuki Aoi's performance was spot on. Other half about Ebi and Takeru was so realistic yet very entertaining.

Well, it was interesting I guess. First half was OK, second half was more interesting. Takeru, as a secondary character, is very interesting and probably more mature than Hotori is. Ebi is... such a tsundere. Lol.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

That was actually a really cute episode. The first half did kinda drag, but I got a ton of laughs from when Toshiko landed on the teacher and the on-screen text came up.

I loved the second half. Those kind of awkward first romance/date things are always adorable to see in anime. And I knew when they got back to school, she wouldn't want him calling her Ebi.

Also, when they were in the "VIP Room" the music playing was the original version of the OP.

Everyone calls Ebi is a bitch, but that's one of the typical type of primary school girl - 'behave well, treat boys like worm, but act sweet outside' - that you can find anywhere. At least it was in my country (Korea).

and I love Hotori's pet. :3

Tatsuno and her stepping on that word-spewing history teacher won the episode though. Luther, HA!

the author's depiction of how grade schoolers would act is fairly accurate. Ebi's behavior is the same as guys who tease the girls they like in school. This occurs for one of two reasons. Either they want attention but they dont know how to properly get it, so they come up with something else, like teasing. The other reason is that they don't want other people to know their crush, so they purposely act mean towards them.

I like how people, once they've established ebi as a bitch, completely ignored her other actions, like giving takeru those cards, and smiling when he said he didnt want to mix up the cards she gave him. I think a lot of people fall into the same category as Takeru, "I don't get girls."

Who is Shana...? People are calling Ebi a bitch because she was a complete jerk to Arayashiyama's little brother. I don't care if she gave him cards, was polite to everyone else, and said thank you for ice cream. That doesn't justify her punching him for saying her name wrong and whatever else. They really stereo-typed how girls boss around boys, giving any other guy an opening to say, "Yeah, girls make no sense. I don't get them at all," and feel justified. I'm probably reading a bit too much into it, but oh well.

The episode was meh for me. I'm getting the feeling this show has no overall plot. As for the first part of the show, it looks like Arayshiyama got some movie tickets, so I wish that the second part would have been her asking Sanada to the movie rather than the kinda meaningless story about her brother afterwards.

She wasn't.

beside, Takeru was mean to Iilia in his own ways. He forgot Ebi's real name, he insisted on calling her with nickname rather than name when Ebi didn't, he called her Ebi-chan in front of the class room when Ebi clearly wants their relationship to be secret from the class. Punching might be exaggeration, but she is pretty much typical case of primary school kids.

Did it take that long to realise it?... >_> This series is about daily life of Ayashiyama and people around her. There is no plot development what-so-ever, even in manga.

No. You got 'everything' wrong. It is like this; Tatsuno gave Ayashiyama movie ticket, so that she can be alone with Sanada in the cafe without any interruption when Ayashiyama is watching it. That's also why Uki left the cafe right before Sanada came.

She wasn't? If you want me to give you an inch, okay, she wasn't a complete jerk, she was a partial jerk. Happy? Why would he bother to remember the name of a girl who he didn't know and had no relationship with other than bullying him? He didn't "insist" on calling her Ebi-chan, he asked if he could and she agreed. It's not as though he called her Ebi-chan in class on purpose. He was obivously too dense to realize that she wanted it a secret.

What I thought happened was Arayshiyama had gotten the tickets the same way Tatsuno had, but Tatsuno giving her the tickets to be alone with Sanada makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Bother to remember the name of a girl who is in the 'same class' and sit 'RIGHT NEXT TO HIM'?... I'm pretty sure that would be wtf moment for any person. She agreed with calling 'Ebi-chan', but her idea was still calling in first name, not nickname. And yes, Takeru is dense for not realising it and its his own fault. Think about situation when Ebi was not alone when Takeru called her with nickname, then we know why she had to shut Takeru's mouth before that happens.

Ebi never treated Takeru like shit. They were pretty much in same position during the conversation. Excluding the ice-cream scene, Ebi was never really ordering around Takeru like other official anime bitches like our so called 'Suzumiya Haruhi' or 'Shana'. She was obviously happy for being with Takeru and never hesitated to smile to him. To be honest, only real bitch act she did was hitting Takeru but it is justified as Takeru's forgetting is just as bad as being slightly picky on naming, if not worse.

Maybe in other countries forgetting a name warrants hitting, but definitely not where I'm from, so I can't see his getting smacked as "justified." I can't compare her to Shana and Suzumiya as you mentioned as I have not seen either of those shows.

Sure, it's not nice for either party when you forget a name, but he didn't do it on purpose. Can he really help that he forgot? I can understand she may have felt hurt/upset/whatever, but she didn't need to smack him. If she was actually happy to be with him, and if she happened to like him, I don't see why she thought it necessary to hit him for forgetting her name. That's not a way to make friends.

...what, what? Why so serious? Did Ebi stabbed Takeru with knife or something?

You are talking like that so called 'smacking' some kind of seriously big insult or violence. Obviously, that's an exaggeration. It's freakin ANIMUU, and everything always get slightly more over-the-top than what it is. It is necessary to punch, because it is an ANIME. Punching is absolutely not serious, because it is an ANIME. Then, what did you expect other then punching? Some kind of lame curse words or simple ignoring? And of course, punching itself is a really trivial manner that only exists for the sake of 'comedy', and there were much more sweet moments between them that you are obviously ignoring for the sake of the 'whatever shit argument'. Beside, it is even harder to forget someone's name on purpose who sits RIGHT NEXT TO YOU, EVERY SINGLE DAY, unless that someone is Osaka. Ignorance is sometimes even bigger insult than simple violence.

Then, it seems that I don't even think you have good enough standards to call a character 'bitch'... :/... So I will pass.

The whole point was my original statement of "She was a complete jerk to Arayashiyama's little brother." It's my opinion from my point of view. You chose to disagree with it, I chose to explain why I thought that way, and now here we are. I respect that you have you own opinion. I'm not trying tell you to adopt my views, only trying to explain why I think what I think.

And what do you mean by "I don't even think you have good enough standards to call a character a 'bitch'"? I never once used that word to describe her.
