| Well what can I say? I JUST LOVED THIS EPISODE!!! I've read the manga to the recent chapter, and I already knew what is going to be in. However, I never thought it will excite me to this extent. It's mostly likely because of the seiyuus. All the voices are so well-fitting and also very professional + enjoyable to hear. Although character design isn't really the best, I was very satisfied with BGround art and sounds. and, oh wow. That ending theme was just win. I'm replaying it again and again. This might become this year's favourite anime theme I've listen. It's really good to see one of my favourite manga moving alive. This season is just win, now I'm waiting for Imouto and Otamegane. <3 |

| Great episode. The animation could of course be better, but they might reserve this for the final episodes. My expectations however, have been fulfilled and it seems like a promising start. Really loved the marrying part, especially when Takagi and Taka jump in awe when Miho says yes, as this was the scene I really waited to be animated XD Bakuman has a generic 10/10 for now :D |

| I had actually thought that I was watching a different anime when I was watching the beginning. I thought it was some prank but then I watched it again and realised that it was part of the episode. Silly me~~ Anyway,I am attracted to this anime because of its realistic storyline(I wanna be a mangaka too!!) and Takagi Akito. I mean he's such a witty guy and seems fun to be around. Blonde,bespectacled,smart...my ideal guy!! Rated this ep 5/5! And J.C. Staff does wonders! |

| Personally I loved the first episode, it was a lot of fun to watch. Also the marriage part was hilarious, I laughed a lot. I see a lot of promise in this series so I'm definitely gonna follow it. |

| やべぇ！ Azuki never been this cute!! but really disappointed with the art meh,,damn J.C Staff. They made a yuri anime [Aoi Hana] with great art,,but not with BAKUMAN... wheresthehandle said: Hikaru no Go? Wonder if anyone else knows what that is. Oh wow, they didn't have to bleep Dragonball or One Piece? FYI,,Hikaru no Go is manga about Igo -kinda old japanese chess- and also manga from Author of Bakuman about Dragonball and One Piece,, this anime/manga will tell you all about Weekly Shonen Jump so they don't need to censor it... and Naruto, Bleach, etc will also appear in the future XD |

| Great episode. The beginning of anime was like weird though. But overall i enjoyed it, the wedding part had me loled; pretty funny, lol. Well the art was okay, and its fun listening to their voices too. |

| An enjoyable first episode, that's for sure. I'm digging the very normal feeling - while still having its fun moments - of this series so far. I'll admit that the first ten minutes or so were rather slow, but it picked up and I realize it was necessary to properly establish the characters. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode! Animation-wise, I think it's fine. The art isn't anything noteworthy, but keep in mind that: a) it has a very "normal" kind of atmosphere b) it's being adapted from Obata's artwork and can never match up to his level of detail. Sound-wise, I think they chose fine seiyuu for the two main leads. The female (the crush) has a decent voice, as well. I don't like the OP and find it way too forgettable, but I did like the ED. So, this episode is at a 4/5 for me. EDIT: Oh yeah, I also enjoyed the shout-outs to Death Note and Hikaru no Go xD |

| Oh, that was surely a very sweet start! I haven't read the manga but had some pretty high expectations about this show because of the director - the one who worked on Nodame, Honey & Clover, Kimikiss, and Kare Kano. And so far I really liked it! Loved the natural slice of life atmosphere and the comedy parts. I wonder if I was the only one who thought Mashiro looked, sounded, and behaved so much similar to Mikado from Drrr!!... |

| My reactions chronologically: 1.thought I downloaded some troll 2.phew & good opening 3.wow - so many references(I liked the "It's not as if this is a Death Note" part) 4.Azuki is so cute 5.doorbell LOL 6.this is going to be a great anime |
| I hope they'll pick up the pace later and maybe experiment a little since Bakuman's premise makes it perfect for that (SHAFT could probably do wonders with it), but I wasn't expecting a masterpiece from J.C.Staff in the first place. The graphics and soundtrack are both unimpressive, but at least the voices are good. For Mashiro, Miyoshi and Miho, anyway. Takagi could stand to sound a bit more fabulous. Also, he has messier hair in the manga. But I guess I can live with this. |
| I havent read Bakuman manga yet, but I think I will start now. I love pacing - proposal in the first episode is pure win, characters look funny, I loled at Death Note reference... Btw, my respect for Tsugumi Ohba just grew. Not only he can write mystery manga, but also comedy manga, which is quite rare. Also, design of characters is pretty well done (I liked Death Note design better, because I like darker style, but dark style wouldnt be very fitting for comedy anyway). |

| Nice episode, really liked it. It had a "normal" feeling to it, which I liked. The animation wasn't that good though. JC Staff didn't do good with Ookami-san's animation either, but I surely hope this will be better. |
