I've been most accommodating to give you upwards of a year to acknowledge the existence of correct analysis on Glasslip and defend your own positions, but you have chosen to willfully ignore that. With a year nearly approaching, I offer you one final chance to justify why your particular analysis on Glasslip should be considered as correct.

You will do so at this article here: as I've stated previously, I do not use this site with any frequency, but I will be quite happy to discuss Glasslip with you at a location I do visit. If you do not reply at the specified site by September 21, 2017, your analysis will be declared null and void. All individuals who agreed with your analysis will further retract their agreement. Their agreement with your analysis will be transfered and interpreted to refer to an agreement with the analysis presented in the linked article. Alternatively, you may choose to retract your original post. It's done enough damage to Glasslip: the show was already poorly-written, and the last thing the anime community needs is an incorrect interpretation that only serves to push a personal opinion across for the author's own self-aggrandisement.

It is somewhat of an unpleasant surprise to learn that the prevailing, incorrect opinion of Glasslip has its origins with you. Having read your analysis, I find that your opinions do not accurately represent the major thematic elements in Glasslip, for the reason that its focus is too narrow. You state that the chickens are of a crucial significance in mirroring Kakeru's own background and preference for security, and dismiss the "fragments of the future" as "figments of [Kakeru and Tōko's] imagination". This is clearly not the case: if Glasslip were to intended to be about a young man's desire to settle down, Tōko's friends would not have been a factor, and similarly, references to glass beads would not have been prominently featured.

Your analysis is plagued with confirmation bias, where you have selected very minor details to fit your own views, while discarding events as insignificant if they do not support your own beliefs. Glasslip is certainly not about "[Kakeru and Tōko learning] about each other and about each other’s feelings and emotions this way"; if this were the case, Glasslip would have proceeded in the absence of Sachi, Hiro, Yukinari and Yanagi. The actual theme in Glasslip deals with relationships, and their impact on friendships. The "fragments of the future" were intended to facilitate the notion that even if people could see the future, the turbulence of love means that it would be preferable to take things one step at a time.

I am curious to hear the rationale behind your analysis of Glasslip and would be quite happy to discuss this with you in more detail. With that being said, I am not a frequent user of MyAnimeList, so communications here will not be received. If you would like to continue this discussion, feel free to do so here.

How's goin? Watching any good stuff lately?
mooncrypt Apr 3, 2014 5:13 AM
I love this kind of intelligent demented stuff. Did you watched Boogiepop Phantom? It's just like Lynch into anime.
Shoujoish? Not a problem. I love maho shoujo, josei and stuff...
So it sucks? What a mess, the title Noir gave me a fine hope.
mooncrypt Apr 2, 2014 1:21 PM
How's Noir?

Glad to find another psychological/surrealism fan. I need to check Ikuhara works.
I just finished The Hakkenden, both seasons. Ultimate nonsense and surreal horror. Love dat.
I'm currently watching a lot of OVAs from the 80s. There's a lot of great titles for your taste, if you don't mind some gore in your movies.
btw, I see Sayoko in your favorites. I love her. Very underrated anime though.

I think I heard someone talking about,.. "David Lynch"???
MusashiRose Oct 23, 2013 11:17 PM
He is an absolute stunner... that medicine seller. I haven't seen Trapeze yet, so I must pick that up when I can. It looks like trippy goodness.

What are you currently watching...? Anything from the latest season? ttysoon^^
