What's the worst anime ever (discounting easy targets like dementia type shows)

For me, the worst one I've ever seen is Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers

You're parroting the exact same thing every Subaru hater has ever said 🤦‍♂️. Why can't you guys come up with something original that makes sense? How is he a "freakin' emotional wimp" when he has stood back up after dying so many times in some of the worst ways possible and still remains positive, coming back mentally stronger each time? Just because he technically "can't die" doesn't mean he's not allowed to cry or express emotions after not just facing gruesome deaths himself but also watching his friends die before him. And please don't say "he has died so many times that he should be used to it by now", that's the worst argument ever.

You gotta understand Subaru's position here, he's just an ordinary guy dropped into a fantasy world with no magical powers at his disposal. He's not like Reinhard, Julius or even Garfiel who can fight and defend themselves. He might have the power to change fate, but in combat, he's one of the weakest. And also, he's slowly moving towards that point where he has resolve not to worry about death, like in season 2 part 2 when he told Garfiel that he has seen hell.


But that's the realistic reaction of someone who had lived a sheltered life in his past. And no, he doesn't "freak out" when there's no real danger to him, that's his trauma acting.

I know all that. Probably all the subaru haters know it. But simply understanding someone's position doesn't mean one will, or should be expected to, empathize with him. The MC's histrionic fits -- yes, even when death is not impending -- are just out of hand; and the haters, if I had to guess, are probably mostly adults like me who get annoyed by excessive shows of muh emotion. I hated attack on titan for the same reason. Omg what a bad, baaaad anime that was....

Highschool of the Dead easily. There is not a single redeeming quality about this abomination and it seems like it somehow managed to gaslight the audience that it is somewhat good by throwing an abundance of low quality ecchi in order to conceal it's overall lack of quality.
