| Aira only brought it upon herself, I mean this is not even a question at this point. So yeah, I mean good for us we could see all those colourful fights, but that wasn’t what this part of the story was about. There’ll be plenty of transformed Okarun going batshit and the duo of him and Momo fucking these evil spirts and whatnot, but there’s only one chapter 16. I mean you know some serious hell was about to go down the moment Acro Silky said that she’ll see Aira that would live on. Then that backstory happened… and jesus, I’ve actually got no words. The hell Acro Silky went through… nobody deserves that. And the worst part is, she couldn’t see her daughter even once after all that happened. Still, this series has seen so many backstories till this date, but for me, this still stands at the very top. Actually shed a tear while reading these couple of chapters back then, maybe because I didn’t know what was about to come. Still, here in the adaptation too, this was an absolute work of a genius. They say it wasn't possible for Acro Silky to pass on peacefully, but trust me, she did. Really, what an episode. 10/5. |

Holy,they cooked so damn hard. Thought it was a pretty nice tragic backstory in the manga, here I was left speechless. Science SARU elevating the emotional highs to another level altogether. This may be the adaptation that will bring them universal recognition within the anime community. Here's the ballet scene from the manga. | One of my favorite mini arcs, Acro Silky arc. That opening scene of Acro Silky running then transitioning to her going crazy over Aira is just UGH, PEAK FICTION! They adapted the manga so gracefully, I knew what was coming yet I couldn't help but be in my feelings for Acro Silky. Anybody who has a loving family member knows how this episode hit hard. My favorite episode and mini arc of Dandadan for sure. OST this episode was really good, hits you right in the feels. |

| I knew this was coming but it still hit hard. Ofc going in without knowing would have left an even bigger impact but I already got that when this chapter came out. To date haven't forgotten and never will. She worked so hard to raise her daughter. Why is the world such a cruel and shitty place. Props to science saru for adapting this so well. The way they animated her desperated chase from first perspective view and the entire backstory sequence or the episode in general was phenomenal. |

| Without exaggeration, probably a top contender for the greatest animation episode of 2024. Yamashiro Fuuga's vision, directing and cinematography, together with the outstanding staff at Science Saru, managed to nail one of my, and probably many other's, favorite moments from the manga. That whole arc was what completely reeled me in the first time around, now I'm feeling it once again. Simply beautiful work. I hope this team will keep adapting Dandadan for years to come because I have no doubt in my mind that they will get it right. Obligatory ABSOLUTE CINEMA 🔥 |

| This episode was over in a flash. Wtf. It didn't feel long at all because of how good it was. Science Saru is doing a phenomenal job. So, Aira's mom died when she was little. That explains why she has such a bitchy personality. Well, now I understand her a bit more but for me to change my mind about her I hope she'll get some development. |

| That flashback sequence wasn't something I could've ever been prepared for, especially for someone built up as a seemingly minor adversary. Utterly crushing my heart despite barely knowing her for like two eps is definitely commendable for a "small fry" yokai. And dammit granny, don't think I've ever been less in the mood to see a hairdryer than this episode lmao |

| And here it is, Acro Silky’s backstory, the first time out of many more to come where this series showcases how it can go from a wacky supernatural comedy to downright heartbreaking. This was painful in the manga but man, actually hearing the cries, the despair, the desperation, along with the soundtrack just elevated the sadness to another level. Voice acting and music truly can make a huge difference. I absolutely loved the usage of POV when Acro Silky was trying to chase down the men who took her daughter. Amazing directorial choice there. I have no complaints about this episode, it was a perfect adaptation. This was probably my most anticipated moment when it comes to what this season will adapt, and they didn’t just do it justice, they knocked it out of the park. God bless this adaptation. |
