| I don't think anime would work in 3D (unless it's CG like Appleseed Ex Machina and Final Fantasy 7 : Advent Children, that would work in 3D). Better keep 2D anime in 2D unless they give me evidence like a video clip of 2D animation can show in 3D. I like my anime at High definition, but 3D unless they show me evidence that 2D animation can be shown in 3D I don't think it's possible. |

| Sure, since my eye's *can't percieve depth already* Just to clarify. That's me being sarcastic. I don't think, especially now, that 3D has benefited movies in anyway (besides prices). Artistically speaking. Now besides costing more to go see and wearing glasses, all we get is a greater accent of depth. Oh, yes that guy is DEFINATELY in front of that girl. But our eyes already percieve 2D movies in 3D. Mr. Ebert words it much better http://www.newsweek.com/2010/04/30/why-i-hate-3-d-and-you-should-too.html And I wouldn't find it very enjoyable to watch a series wearing glasses all the time. I'd just find that annoying. That's my thoughts on the matter. |

| I couldn't watch anime in 3D. I have a hard enough time with trying to fit 3D glasses over the glasses I wear everyday. And I couldn't even do the "magic eye" books(which are 3D). 3D anime, no thanks! |

| Maybe OAVs and Movies might work, but the problem is if you watch 3D for too long your eyes will fatigue unless the 3D is really high quality, so trying to marathon a series would be out of the question. Also I doubt fan subbers would bother subbing the 3D verisons because it would be a pain in the ass |

| Future theatrical releases of anime movies (Japan) will probably get the 3D treatment first. If it will be same for tv-shows remains to be seen. Personally, i think there are certain genres that could look great in 3D like sci-fi and/or CGI movies. |

| definitely not a good idea...remember Disney Renaissance? as much as i like plenty of Pixar/Disney 3d animation.. and how recent Disney stuff turn into 3d most of them does not have major impact compare to previous generation of Disney series... keep it 2d...that's what animation is all about less computer generated, more hand drawing animation... viewers know how to appreciate these kind of thing |

| i think most people are misunderstanding. the OP is talking about the 3D like with the glasses, not 3D like advent children or video game cut scenes etc. but theres 2 types of 3D(involving glasses) either it adds depth or things actually pop out at you im thinking for anime its prob just going to add depth. and as long as its still drawn like anime i think it could prob be pretty cool. tho im not sure if its even possible to add 3D while still keeping the same type of anime art, but if it has to be like advent children in order to be 3D it will fail for the most part. thats one reason i watch anime in the first place is cuz of the art. |
