Tbh, this episode's fight involving Hyouma feels a lot harder than he fought against Shigure. His opponent looks like he's toying with him. I don't think Hyouma is weak at this point though, just that there's a big gap between their powers. This is also one of those times when Hyouma took the fight very personally due to his past.

Shigure herself still proves to be a difficult opponent while Kadomori is having the time of her life fighting.

The showdown with the bureau really was well done. Kushige sure made one hell of a timely entrance. You know Haori's serious when she takes her glasses off lol. Its unfortunate that things turned out this way though. From comrades to hated enemies. If anything Tenjitsu really was set up to be the perfect villain both in terms of physical combat ability and the effect he has on Hyoma's pysch. Nice to see Tsubaki back to batting form. Its time for Hyoma to finally settle his past trauma and fight for a new and better future with the girl that he loves.

Hyouma is in tough spot in his battle against paper umbrella but he is managing it due to the support of botan and other bridal Tsukumogami.

The Nagatsuki Bridal Trousseau vs. the Bureau of Traditional Music, and the battle is never easy from the get-go facing either member. But once Kushige comes back, the Bridal Trousseau is in its full force to go for the offensive, and both Tsumabiki and Yukie admit their defeats in honour of the Trousseau.

The Warazamawashi is next, and while Hyoma goes for Tenjinku and the rest going aside for the others, his blood fuels blood-thirsty than ever from the same enemy that killed both of his siblings. But the problem is, Hyoma's too easy of a target to read, and against an enemy like Tenjinku, he falls short of reaching his potential as a Saenome. It's a challenge to fight believing in who he's fighting for, all of his past indiscretions are going to be washed away with the conviction of protecting Botan.

In the end, it's love spurring one to be stronger, who would've saw that coming.

Nooo why do these episodes always end right as they get good?? Where to start, lot to talk about.

Kushige is back! I knew he wasn’t dead. A few episodes ago when one of the Tsukumogami ambushed the Bridal Trousseau on the freeway, someone said that Kushige was killed, but earlier on they’d said he was incapacitated. So good to see him back in the fight. Really turned the tide of battle when their anchor came back.

Don’t really feel bad for the bureau of traditional music at all. I still don’t understand why they betrayed Hyoma and everyone. Just seems like a dumb move to make. They lost their friend unnecessarily and now their lives. RIP bozos

The Hyoma fight was tough to watch, he was really getting his ass beat there for a while. Blinded by his anger and the umbrella’s provocations he just forgot his entire purpose of fighting. Which is understandable tbh, I think anyone would be blind with rage and confusion if their brother’s face was in front of them like that.

Haori calling Hyoma her son in law was a really nice moment. Gave him the strength he needed to start moving forward and fight for a new reason, to protect.

Hyoma finally has his own weapons and has fully transitioned from fighting for revenge to fighting to protect the girl he cares about. In true animanga fashion I expect a pretty big power increase next episode. Last one too, I hope we get another season.

Hyouma looked like he was finally steeling himself at the end. I had been hoping Botan might of gone beserk again, or even transcended to provide Hyouma some kind of additional power but I guess I cant have everything. Agreed that tiny end scence after credits looks like we getting an awakening of some kind at least through the power of bonds. Action this eps was top notch too.

I feel like this show really isn’t that good, but it hits me in all the right emotional spots for me to keep watching lol. I am definitely enjoying it nonetheless.

This episode currently is showing a Community Rating of 2 stars on ANN (Anime News Network), & I can't help but wonder at it. While it wasn't blow-my-socks-off anime, it was by no means terrible...unless it failed to cover/portray something absolutely pivotal from the manga. I haven't read it, so if anybody here can think of something, I am dead curious to know.

Will there be more material to be covered after this? Enough for a new season?

Another great episode! Welcome back Kushige, a heck of an entrance to make. Sucks that the Bureau did what they did and now they paid the price, RIP.

Now with the Umbrella group remaining I don't see how Tsubaki and Hyoma can keep fighting considering how much they already fought. Especially for Hyoma, I don't see how he can beat the tsukumogami he's fighting, at least not without outside help (he kind of has gotten outside help in regards to verbal encouragement but I'm not sure if that's enough). Also, for a minute there I thought Botan was going to get involved.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the finale, this has been a good series so far, especially the 2nd cour.

This has been a really solid battle shounen, great flowing pacing for the most part, and the fights themselves are pretty well done and quite innovative at times, some really cool ideas.

It really is getting tiresome seeing the SOS week after week after week for the last 4-5 episodes. Plus generic "dude's revived out of nowhere" brings this down and down.

hyoma been getting his ass whooped this whole season but the power of friendship buff has been activated, so now he will win

But nah fr, why tf would they go for this angle? This season was a definite upgrade from season 1 in every aspect, why the self sabotage with those generic tropes so late in the game? Imo they shoulda ended the conflict after the music bureau was defeated. Have some saenome reinforcements to come at the scene and force the umbrella's to flee. At least it would make sense for Hyoma to fight his nemesis on more even grounds and even defeat him if he was healed up from his injuries. But bro is one the verge of death, somehow about to bullshit a win, solely because "muh' loved ones need me"

Kushige with the save, perfect timing. Action scenes were okay, dragged as usual. Hyoma's doorpulls finally glowing, we'll get to see his full power finally? Just one episode to go sadly.

Confused as to why this anime continues to bring up Kyouma's alleged hatred of Tsukumogami when that side of his character (and any narrative relevance it had) was discarded after the first episode of the first season.

Thats why the animation studio should just stay faithful to the manga, all this talk&flashback really dragged out the fight. The umbrella guys also flee after the gang got released from the seal.

Each time there was some good (by Mononogatari's standard) animation, it was stopped by some talking and staring that didn't add anything to the plot besides remind the audience what the plot is and what the initial premise was lol.

With this episode, they've just totally buried this main character for me because it's horrible, if you remember the main character's way of thinking at the beginning of the story, so season 1, he literally dedicated his life after losing his brother and sister to getting revenge on this thing, and now that it's in front of him, he's losing hope, it's really ridiculous. He should be motivating himself, he shouldn't need others to explain to him that he shouldn't give up. As far as I'm concerned, they've just buried him with this episode!
